I lost my mom on April 11 2020. I never knew about this film until last year. The scene where she is telling her mom goodbye actually made me cry so much. It makes you want to believe you can get a chance to go back in time and hang out with your mom. I don't go by one day and not think about her. I miss her sooooo much. Thank girl for another amazing reaction .❤🎉❤🎉⭐️🌙🎀
I also lost my mum. There isn’t much that reminds me of her since I was too young to remember much of her, but if time travel were possible, I would snatch up that opportunity in a heartbeat just to be able to have half an hour with her so we can just talk and cuddle. The pain of parental loss is one that you just can’t describe accurately. I hope everything is going well in your life and I’m sure that your mother, and all other passed parents, are proud of all of us 🥰💜
I think you'd make a good final girl! You're a certified horror girlie now. This movie is criminally underrated. It's campy and fun and scary. Taissa Farmiga is so good.
You calling a Gremlin a Furby, at the end, *sent* me!~~~^.^ I really love the idea that she was so against watching the movie (because it had ruined her mom's career and how her mother's character ends up in the movie), BUT at the end her mother's character tells her she'll always be able to see her through the movie~~~ Also, love the idea that a lot of actors leave a little bit of themselves in their characters (like having the character say something her mother did)^.^
Such an underrated campy slasher flick! Every time I hear “Bette Davis Eyes” I immediately flash back to that emotional showdown 😭Taissa Farmiga also appears in both Nun films if you (hopefully 🤞🏻) decide to delve into The Conjuring universe! :))
I had the absolute WORST day today because it's a huge tourist festival in my town this week and everyone has been coming into my job absolutely blitzed saying and doing the dumbest shit possible. But when you post, it truly does lift my spirits. Thank you for all you do Queen, from a small towner looking to escape reality for a while.
Literally watched this movie a couple of days ago and had no idea you were gonna react to it! Always a good time watching you react! Hope you get to react to "Totally Killer" after the strike is finished :)
YES! This is exactly the comeback vid we needed after Talk to Me, Final Girls is a great fave. Perfect horror comedy blend. Be well Alanda! Horror queen we don't deserve. ✨
This is one of my favourite movies ever. it is so self-aware and so clever, and SO entertaining. It doesn't get enough hype for how good it was for pure entertainment, AND it's so moving as well. I am really glad you are watching this :) I am posting this before I watch, so hopefully you love it, too. I shall maybe follow up after the reaction
"was it all a dream? Did we all just read word up magazine?" Yoooo alanda i really cant with you!! 😂 I have never heard of this movie but it was definitely a good time watching it with you..although it is very trippy! Spooky season is here and i cant wait for the next upload! ❤
your reactions and your amazing personality makes going through chemotherapy a little bit easier so i just have to say thank you queen, i truly appreciate the work you put into these
also Alanda, I would highly suggest reacting to the south korean films: The Handmaiden, The Wailing (for sppoky season), I Saw the Devil (for spooky season), OldBoy and the japanese film Shoplifters. ALL AMAZING. I would also highly recommend The Skeleton Key (for spooky season) cause thats right up your alley
You have excellent taste in movies, and I'm glad you're getting treatment; do whatever helps you through Chemo; I know it's rough as hell. I watched months of classic Let's Plays during my treatment and recovery! I wish I'd had Alanda then, too!
Fun Fact: One of the writers is Joshua John Miller, son of Jason Miller, who played the priest in The Exorcist, and part of the inspiration for the story… SPOILER!!!! was how it felt kind of weird watching the movie as a kid and seeing his dad die
So happy this made it on your list! I’ve been waiting with bated breath for you to see this one. It’s a gem! I wish there was a sequel. Thanks so much for adding this to your RU-vid collection! ❤
So happy to see you happy this week, I know last week was ROUGH. This was a really fun movie, the goodbye scene at the end I thought was phenomenal. Also, the screening was for a double feature, so I think if they get through the sequel, then they’re back home hopefully. I saw your reaction to the SAG negotiations falling through and I’m right there with you girl. Still very excited to see what movies you have planned this month, we’ll all be here no matter what!
Such an amazing film!! I literally get so excited to press on your newest video. I’ve been watching for about a year and have been so pleased and love watching you watch movies. You’ve inspired me so much thank you! :)
One of the screenwriters on this movie, Joshua John Miller, had been a child actor - he played the creepy kids in NEAR DARK and RIVER'S EDGE and the mean brother in TEEN WITCH. Plus, his father was Jason Miller, who played Father Karras in THE EXORCIST, and his mom was Susan Bernard, a former Playboy model who did several movies, including the cult fave FASTER PUSSYCAT KILL KILL, and her father was a legendary glamour photographer, Bernard of Hollywood. So he's got a super pedigree. And he's totally sweet in real life.
Please watch Totally Killer!! It is totally up your ally and actually has a similar-ish feel to this movie! It’s very Scream inspired and a very fun time!
One of my absolute favorites! Loved your reaction, Alanda! Thank you for all the joy you bring through your videos and by being your wonderful self! Appreciate you! 💗💗
What a fun movie. I remember watching this a few years back and it was great to revisit it now. Campy and fun all around. Great way to go into a weekend. Thank you for gifting us with great content. 😍
Loved this! This is such a fun underrated movie and there's some really good cinematography in it, which I was pleasantly surprised by the first time I saw it. The end with storm and the fog is so great. It's just a campy good time.
Hey, Alanda. I think you should react to The Love Witch (2016). I would describe it as a drama with light horror elements. It´s also extremely camp and kinda funny at times. It´s definitely not hardcore at all if you compare it to some of the other horror you´ve reacted to lately.
Your content has been my comfort the past month. I came across your channel 2 weeks before my uncle/father figure passed away last week and now almost 2 weeks later that has grown even more true. Thank you for all you do❤❤❤
Alanda this movie is one of my favorites ❤❤❤ and underrated I came here to catch all the good horror movies. I can't wait what u watching tomorrow! On Friday the the 13th
This is one of those films you've never heard of, stumble upon while scrolling, and then immediately recommend to everyone in your circle. It's giving delightful, cheesy, and camp (pun intended). Love it.
Technically Vicki wasn't being racist or bigoted when she said they couldn't be in heaven because Max is Jewish. They don't believe in the same construct of an afterlife.
22:08 fun fact .. Adam Levine(The Overly Sexually Harassing Homophobe Guy) & Chloe Bridges(Paula, The Final Girl) Just Announced They Are Expecting Their First Child .. I completely forgot they were in this movie together .. I didn’t even know they were together til I saw that announcement.. have to assume this is the film that got them going
This movie is such a comfort film and great time for me. So glad Queen Landy B approves. I'd love a sequel but at the same time it's so perfect and cute on its own. A hidden gem since a lot of people haven't heard of it, and I kinda like it that way 😊 x
This movie is the best🤣😂I had a wonderful time with this❤️🤣Taissa Farmiga and Nina Dobrev was Acting and so HILARIOUS 😭🤣THANK YALL for this movie and You too GIRLY never MISSES A BEAT GO SISTER SISTER🖤🫶🏼😌🤣LOVE YAAAAA CONTENT and I’m FIRST WHAAAAA❤️🤣🫶🏼
i just realized…. you NEED to watch the Saw franchise. i know at first u may think “NO WAY” because it’s gorey sometimes and can be nasty. i thought the same at first. but honestly it’s not that bad. these movies are more about mystery and plot twists then anything else. they are SO good and I would LOVEEEE your reaction to them!! every single one is fire.
When I watched this for the first time I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I thought it would just be a typical Horror Comedy (which I love) but it ended up being so much better than I could have imagined! I lost my mom a few years ago and so the moments when she got to see her mom on screen and when she saw her when she got sucked into the movie made me cry. I loved every sweet moment between them. The rest of the cast was so fun, I loved all her friends and I was so sad when they died (when I thought they did) I was rooting so hard for them and I love that they made Nina's character redeemable (and a little likeable). You could tell that she may be wound up a little tight, but their relationship was just strained. As always, loved watching you react to this movie!
Always love when you post a video! You make my day! 🥰 If you haven’t seen it yet I definitely recommend you watching the live action Speed Racer movie!🤩✨
I love when I see a video post and my first thought is “she’s gonna love this movie”, so much better than when a video posts an my first thought is “this is gonna be rough” like last week
I was nit emotionally prepared for this movie...I tear up every timw at that goodbye scene between mother and daughter because it makes me think of my mom who passed and my grown daughter who I have a struggling relationship with. Such a great movie. So bummed we never got a sequel.
@bloodygoodjune9292 Well we never got an official sequel but a full script for the sequel does exist. Spoiler alert Max's mom Nancy/Amanda isn't dead LOL! Also the sequel would center around Max's Dad who is the actor that portrays Slasher Billy. And yes the sequal ends with Max and her mom or at least her movie counterpart leaving the movie and returning to the real world together which leads them back to the same movie theater that was on fire!🔥Thus giving us a happy ending! And the credits role!🎭🎥🎬♥
