Yeah sigh. Id say most of those third hand audis be a scruffy base model because people have poor taste and no appreciation youd be wanting something else.
Mate i have the 10y old version and it”s brilliant for the money i paid ! Its a v6 3L tdi with about 290 hp and 130000 and runs like new !! So ya fuck those Toyota or what ever Chinese KIA German stays German
@@aukustihalonenn Of course Audi has engines that don't work absolutely perfectly. Every manufacturer has better and worse engines. Though, the 3.0 TDI you get with the new A6 is one of Audi's engines with a rather good reputation, so there should not be a problem with getting a new A6.
As the life belongs to me, I do whatever I want. I actually don't want to give others excuses as long as I don't make them trouble. To let you both know, I'm not an Indian. Also, not from your country. I educate my self to achieve the wealth I expect. As long as I earn in the right and fair way, nobody should make it an issue. Good luck
Although I am an E-Class owner, to my eyes, the A6 is by far the best looking car in this class and I love the interior too. It's becoming quite a joke how many manufacturers have fake exhausts these days - you would think with all the money they spend designing & developing these cars that they would have found a better design solution - LOL! Great review, Mat, and I agree with your recommendations too!
Just to let you know, Matt, the wing mirrors do automatically dip down when you put it into reverse, as long as you have the mirror that you want to dip selected on the mirror adjustment knob.
@@miyabe_k195 Except maybe someone who wants to drive without having to stop to drink water? Maybe? Oh right, no-one cares about hydration, thirst is the way to go.
Miyabe_K people who actually get takeaways from McDonald’s and kfc for example, if a golf has cup holders why would someone pay £200 or whatever it is for the cup holders in the rear and to get 2 usb slots in the back also? This is all standard stuff in cheaper cars. Major disappointment really
@@shroomyesc you know that the cupholders in the front are standard don't you? Only the ones in the back armrest are optional. So unless you drive in the back I don't think you'll have much problems with water. Oh and don't forget you have space for bottles on the doors as well.
@@carwow hello Mat 🙂 i drive today 40 and 50tdi and c8 is better to drive whit 7speed S tronic in 40 than 8 speed zf in 50tdi imo; how it seems to you?
Have owned the Avant version of this since December and I love it. I've had two of the previous generation A6 (C7) and the new model is a huge leap in refinement, dynamics and technology. Thoroughly recommended 👍
@Franc Martins yes mine did after a while, the only negative. It starting not long before I traded it in with Audi, so never bothered having it looked at
I saw one last week and I was literally shocked, what a striking beautiful looking car, it looks so substantial and it has so much presence that it looks like a spaceship. This A6 could be one of the best looking cars right now. Impressive.
Yesterday I saw a new, black A6 S-Line with beautiful 20" S-Line wheels. Across the road was a G30 5 Series with an M Sport pack. Yes, I'm a big BMW fan, but that A6 made the 5 Series look so dull. It really stands out and it looks great. Now, that Bimmer had 18" rims I think and it was white, but yeah, new A6 definetly stands out(unlike the A8 which I also saw in person and I find it a bit boring and, well, not good-looking). Can't wait for an exec. saloon comparison!
Correction - mirror will dip when reversing if you select the left mirror with the adjuster. Had the S-line Avant for 4 months and done 4,000 miles and love it. Black is also a good colour so no need to spend extra on the paint either.
Just recently found your channel, and wish I had found it sooner. You make automobile reviews interesting and fun to watch. Too many reviewers take themselves too seriously. You're approach is ideal. I especially liked your review of the Mercedes E450, since I bought one. Looking forward to all your reviews.
Hey Matt Could you do a video how you get comfy in a car. I really have a problem with this when driving different cars but you must be an expert since you drive different cars all the time Thanks a lot :) love the videos
You want to jack up your under thigh support/the front of the seat (more like under knee support) as high as possible as if you're in a lawn chair. Gives you the most support/comfort
Need to review in estate / Avant mode really as that’s the biggest seller. I had A6 Quattro Avant from 2007-2011 110k faultless miles, brilliant in snow and so comfortable on long motorway trips. I see front/rear sensors are standard now, that’s smart as they are big old cars. Would very happily have another.
Looks very nice indeed, and Matt was really scraping the barrel to find five things he didn't like. I have an A4 that is 3 years old now, one of the first of the current generation, and I'm happy to see that they've got driver profiles now, since that was my biggest criticism of my car - it has two profiles for the seat positions, but I thought that should be extended to things like the music selection, and at last they've agreed with me! :)
Have had my A6 for 18 months have the sport model that has good kit. Just ordered my next but it's going to be the Sline version. Love it that's why I ordered another one to be delivered in November. Have had no problems form the car and covered over 20k miles already.
My Audi A3 had to go in for repair two days before Covid lockdown and I had a brand new one of these as a courtesy car.. I was shielding for 3 months and could not drive it. It was on my drive for 2 months until mine was repaired. I sat in it a few times but in total I drove it about 30 miles in 2 months. It was great,
You should realize how shallow and image-fixated the average customer is. To most people Touch-screens = Expensive High tech = High status = something they can show off discretely. Buttons look old and outdated to the average non-car-person. I took a course in product psychology. Most people (often subconsciously) choose the product that increases their perceived social status. Usually this means designing something to look expensive, not necessarily to look good. This explains a lot of modern SUV-design. Ugly and brash, but looks very expensive (Porsche Cayenne for example). That is the real reason why touch screens are so popular.
Bullshit! This is very common in the car industry. Not everyone uses or needs cupholder all around the interior. Really a "big problem"..., isn't it? LOL
While speaking of that, Porsche charges extra for a rear window wiper on a panamera. I repeat, a rear window wiper is not standard on a 100,000$ car. (as we all know Porsche is in the same family as Audi and therefor it uses the same business model)
At "7:40", Matt you don't need to put one of the child seats in front so the person in the middle of back seat to be more comfortable, you just put that person in the front seat and the job is done.
Honestly the A5 B9 is the best looking and best performing in Audi's new generation cars. Think about it, huge upgrade from its previous A5 B8, it is a sportback which gives it that Coupe look, and it looks very aggressive and sporty. Would much rather have an A5, S5 or RS5 than any of A6 - A8
I've now had my A6 14 months and covered just over 7000 miles. It has been back to main dealers three times where it had to have major headlight updates that took 3 days to complete. The rear near side door handle mechanism malfunctioned and had to be replaced, and my latest gripe is the noise and judder you experience in the car when making a manoeuvre that requires full left or right lock. I went all out when purchasing this car, it has Quattro drive full air suspension and four wheel steer. The reason for the car shudder I am told by both my dealer and HQ AUDI UK, this is to be expected as the diff between the rear and front wheels can cause this anomaly. Well nowhere in the handbook or was it ever explained to me when buying this car that this is the norm. I must also say that whilst the four wheel steer does aid in the turning, the air suspension does not warrant the extra expense paid on the vehicle. Overall I'm somewhat dissatisfied and disappointed with my car and perhaps after 2 A6's and 2 A7's it could be the parting of the waves for myself and Audi
Apart from the pleasure of seeing a very beautiful family car...one can appreciate the very well done video with lot of details, transitions, info, angles, narrative... very nice ✌️
I am considering A5 or A6, I just can't make my mind up. Can you please tell me about your ownership of A6, engine, reliability any issues whatsoever? I am told by RAC mate to go for 50tdi as apparently 40tdi suffers from water pump issues, although I read about 8speed Tiptronic in 50tdi which is absolute garbage apparently. I would really appreciate any advice.
FYI You mentioned you wished the passenger mirror automatically adjusted when you reverse to prevent kerbing the wheel, well it does. And I'm sure for all A6s like mine, what you need to do is, firstly put the vehicle in reverse, adjust your left mirror to desired viewing angle. When you take vehicle out of reverse and select drive, the vehicle mirror will automatically readjust to the view prior to be put into reverse. Remember for this to work then going forward, it will only work when the passenger mirror is selected with the rotary knob on the drivers door. Hope this helps some of you 😊
You have to have the mirror switch turned to the left hand (right hand in the US) side when you're reversing in order for the passenger door mirror to dip when you put it in reverse. It's been that way on all Audis for at least five years.
@@interceptor-ss8kb mad or what?..non car guy😒...every automotive journalist has spoken abt this...and in the very first new audi a6 video mat did mention it
@@cartik4296 I'm not a car guy because I don't get excited because of rear lights 😂😂 you must be easily excited. I look far beyond what the lights do on a car.
The AC controls also slide, meaning it's NOT easier to use buttons. I love it but people complained so much they went back to buttons for the E-Tron GT.
You're absolutely right about the ridiculous extra list for Audis. Oh and the wireless charger ... does little more than warm the cellphone. Trust me I have that option (part of the tech pack) ...
I’m currently driving a brand new loaner 35 TDI WITHOUT ANY OPTIONS and it breaks my heart to see all these goodies. Great suspension and sound insulation in any version tho.
Common climate controls on a touchscreen? No thanks. Just stick to dials. Pain in the ass to use a screen when driving, and will be even harder in that position.
Touch screens are so distracting while driving and fiddly to use - get unsightly with finger marks too. Long live the rotary wheel input!!! One of the reasons I got an eclass estate with widescreen command over the A6
Audi A6 was a very good car. No doubt about it's quality. But then, my final choice would be BMW 5 Series. Absolutely brilliant to drive. I just like it.
@@SebastianStephanStan Well if just one exhaust looks bad then why put visible exhausts at all? As you said it's not a sports car so it doesn't need big double exhausts
A real bisexual petrol-head Have you had a look at the previous A6 C7 face lifted that actually has exhaust trims in the bumper. Still to see one with melted bumpers... 🙄
@@aldod.6269 actually they didn't go all touch screen you have still volume knob and next track if you push it to the side. And aslo some other button's that aren't touch.
@@dkdanis1340 I want it to be fully controllable by the controller or both options as BMW does that gives u the opportunity to use it as a touch or with the controller. And the Climate controls, WHY they had to make them touch, that's the only reason why I got BMW because fysical buttons for the Climate and 2 ways to operate the Navigation System. The only thing that Audi did well is the "cockpit", the Audi's virtual cockpit is the best!
It's the Audi that makes most sense to me. Nice in that classy blue-black. Even more impressed with the 2 older all black police (?) A6s I saw speeding from the lights today near Bedford Sq London...
