The a1 absolutely not Undergunned armoured is slower and a larger target. A7 is a competitor. About the same speed. faster on road slower off. Sill slightly lower firepower not only due to a smaller gun but its lacking both autoloader and missile armourment. as far as armour it may have more but we wont know for some time. other than that it doesnt have active protection like the 90ms and also lacks a substantial ammount of era in comperison. as well as caged armour. And again is a much larger target.
The T90 still uses an autoloader where the crew sits directly above the ammunition carussel. This means that in case of penetration crew survivabillity isnt as good as in western MBTs. Firepower and armor is about the same. (for the latest Leo2 at least) The problem with missiles is that they use shaped charge and most MBTs focus their armorcomposition on shaped charges since its the most commong threat. This is why its a good thing the germans and the americans didnt follow the MBT70 program as its main means to fight tanks was a 150mm shillelagh missile launcher. This would have allowed the soviets to focus their armor composition even more on shaped charges and have both effective armor against tanks and infantry fired weapons...
