I love when she says that "All of Fran Fine is in her but not all of her is in Fran Fine". I think that's so true because she seems funny and spontaneous but also natural and as she says a bit "bitchy" (which is great hahaha)! She did, and she can greatly reduce the nasally sound when she wants to (she has demonstrated this before), but it takes some effort on her part, so most of the time she speaks like this. If you look up "Fran eats wasabi" or "the nanny eats wasabi" you can see a hilarious comic routine in which she speaks with a beautiful voice.

Melissa Figueroa: She certainly does. Her voice is caused as a result of a very serious nasal infection, which my Franny developed as a little girl. Unfortunately, the doctors were unsuccessful in trying to remove the infection from her nose. This is why, she permanently speaks with a nasal-voiced accent.
