अकोला जिल्ह्यातील ऐतिहासिक महत्व असलेलं गाव म्हणजे पातुर. हे गाव त्याच्या ऐतिहासिक महत्त्वाबरोबरच संपूर्ण विदर्भात प्रसिद्ध आहे ते येथील ग्रामदैवत रेणुका मातेच्या मंदिरामुळं, अति प्राचीन लेण्यामुळे आणि नानासाहेबांच्या वाड्यामुळे. जागृत देवस्थान अशी पातूरच्या रेणुकेची ओळख आहे. अतिशय लोभस आणि मनमोहक रूप असलेल्या रेणुकेचं हे ठिकाण डोंगरावर आहे. विश्वस्त मंडळाच्या कल्पकतेतून सध्या या मंदिर आणि परिसराचा झपाट्याने विकास सुरु आहे. नवरात्रीसह वर्षभर येथे भक्तांची मोठी गर्दी झालेली असते.
रेणुका मातेच्या मंदिरासमोरच्या डोंगरात लेण्या आहेत. ह्या लेण्या अति प्राचीन म्हणजे वाकाटक ह्यांच्या काळातील आहेत. आता सद्या मंदिरात कोणतीच मूर्ती नाही. पण असे मानले जाते की एका लेणीत शिवलिंग व दुसरीत पार्वती, ह्यांच्या मूर्ती असतील.
याच पातुरला 'नानासाहेबांचे पातुर' या नावानेही ओळखले जातेय. नानासाहेब म्हणजे नानासाहेब महाराज, ह्या परिसरातील एक मोठे संत. त्यांच्या चमत्काराच्या अनेक कथा ह्या भागात सांगितल्या जातात.
Patur is a village of historical importance in Akola district. Apart from its historical importance, this village is famous all over Vidarbha because of its temple of village deity Renuka Mata, very ancient caves and Nanasaheb's Wada. Renuka of Patur is known as an Jagrut temple. This place of Renuka, which has a very alluring and charming appearance, is on the hill. The temple and its premises are currently being developed rapidly through the creativity of the Board of Trustees. There is a huge crowd of devotees here throughout the year including Navratri.
Patur caves are in the hills in front of Renuka Mata temple. These caves are very ancient, dating back to the time of Wakataka. There is no idol in the caves now. But it is believed that there will be idols of Shivalinga in one cave and Parvati in the other.
This Patur is also known as 'Nanasaheb's Patur'. Nanasaheb means Nanasaheb Maharaj, a great saint in this area. Many stories of their miracles are told in this area.
