In this video, we'll see how to make Gongura Thokku in Andhra style. It's a very famous dish in Andra and It's also famous in Tamilnadu state too. This Gongura (Pulicha Keerai) is called differently in different areas. To get the best taste, I'm adding some special ingredients. And those ingredients will give a punchy taste. This Gongura will have some spiciness itself. to reduce that spiciness, we'll add some tamarind in between the process. Most people will get discouraged at the first attempt at this dish. By avoiding some common mistakes, we'll see how to make Gongura Thokku/ Gogura pachadi/ Pulicha keerai thokku, Pulicha keerai pachadi at home.

Gongura Thokku (புளிச்ச கீரை தொக்கு)
Gingelly oil(நல்லெண்ணெய்) - 7 tsp
Cumin seeds(சீரகம்) - 1 tsp
Black Pepper(மிளகு) - 1 tsp
Garlic Cloves (பூண்டு) - 15 nos
Bengal gram dal (கடலை பருப்பு) - 1 tsp
Curry leaves (கறிவேப்பிலை) - 2 sprigs
Green chilli (பச்சை மிளகாய்) - 5 nos
Gongura(புளிச்ச கீரை) - 250 gms
Turmeric powder (மஞ்சள் தூள்) - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind(புளி) - 1 small lemon size
Rock Salt (கல் உப்பு) - 2 pinches
Jaggery (வெல்லம்) - ¼ tsp
Water(தண்ணீர்) - 500 ml
