This guy was the biggest badass on Alone ever. I was so worried that he would get pulled for being too skinny because it was clear he was the most accomplished outdoorsman.
Oh man I listened to this ep before I’d even heard of the Alone show 😂 I just smashed through six seasons knowing he took out season 6, and I still loved every minute and having a better insight into his past added to the experience.
Seriously bad ass, takes out a moose with an arrow and a wolverine with an axe. I binged this series on Netflix and couldn't believe this guys skill. Much respect, Jordan!
This dude is a legend. He was so calm the entire time 😭 he was the only one who killed an entire moose AND a wolverine while everyone was mortified about little noises, and crying about missing their family. He deserved to win. He totally earned it
i mean, i was impressed with him up until that point but when he made that fishing net i was like, "daaaaamn...he really is just on a whole other level of survivalist." he has my respect forever.
Wolverines will literally nap inside animals they're eating. They will eat a hole thru the side of a deer for example. Then crawl inside, sleep and then wake up and continuing eating
You could tell from the very first episode this dude was going to win. His heart and attitude was pure. He was a bundle of laughs the entire series. His little drag show where he shows off his animal hide jacket was absolutely hilarious. You gotta really be at peace with yourself to do that stuff alone. Excellent man. Would be awesome to be friends with a person like that. Doesn't get more legit in this world than someone like that.
Please note, this guy killed a moose with 1 SHOT! He was by far the most complete contestant. Everything he made, worked. On the last day, he still caught a huge fish and was eating! Total badass!
@@JC-uq5gi thanks for sharing! I don’t have any real crazy wilderness experiences per se, however one time I was camping in the woods by a waterfall in the PNW with this girl I was seeing at the time. We were in a secluded area by the waterfall and I found a honest to god HUMAN TIBIA. We were both extremely bothered by it and made our way back to camp with the remains. We got hold of a park ranger and I walked up to the truck and was like “dude; we just found this Tibia by such and such area” and as soon as I said that he got a FUCKING NOSE BLEED. And like excused himself and said he’d look into it. It was a ... Stephen King Moment.
he dont need more. Just to hit the right spot and let moose killing itself while running and damaging his internal organs with that piece of arrow inside him. You can also kill the bear this way. The trick is to survive til bear dies. Unlike moose, she wont run away from you /unless she didnt spot you
When his wife showed up at the end, she saw the moose head he ate the tounge out of and she just said "Jordan thats wild. Youre a wild man." while looking at him like he was a superhero, realizing how much of a chad her husband is. it was awesome.
Best part was everyone at the end of this season were BARELY surviving. They were just counting down days with no food left no water and just trying to make it the longest. Little did they know Jordan had WEEKS of food left.
I was feeling a sense of accomplishment earlier when I busted up my Knuckles but did some home repair. Now this guy made me feel like a sissy again....
I thought I was an Alpha too, bc I'm a 6'3" 200 lb Army veteran who's whooped many asses in his day... but fighting and killing a wolverine is a whole 'nother level of badassery. This dude gets 110% of my respect!
He was my guy from day one. Just because I could tell he had the best attitude. Anyone that can stay, that composed, that happy in a situation like that has the mental game in the back. The woman that lost behind him was sad, because I believe her age had a lot to do with it. She had the same mental stability that he had. Everyone else broke down mentally around them. This dude is a beast.
She made the most amazing shelter and had supreme skills too but not the same hunting ability. Jordan was just awesome, it wasn’t his skills but his temperament that you had the feeling from the start that he had it in the bag. Living in Siberia probably helped a lot too 😂
What about when after the moose is down and he's like all I have is this tiny pocket knife to skin, field dress, quarter and cut up the animal. It's all the more amazing he did that job with such a small tool!
@GazB yeah I could’ve done a better job at indicating sarcasm 🤷🏽♂️ obviously it’s nothing compassionate about slaughtering mass amounts of animals so we can eat, but they just taste so damn good
He doesn't act or try to portrait someone who thinks he's a Bad ads. He just makes it happen an keeps keeping on. That scene of his wife coming up behind him was the ultimate reward for just being a survivor and a human in solitude. He definitely plays well alone. He is a cool dood. All Kudos to ya " I salute the Happy couple.
Just finished this season. Jordan is so awesome! He remained joyful and optimistic the entire time. I was amazed how he was able to catch the fish when ice fishing, kill the moose, kill the wolverine! That was flipping amazing. Then he’s trying to convince the medical team to let him stay as his wife is sneaking up behind him, such an awesome moment.
This guy is the perfect example of not judging people by their looks, and that size isnt everything. With the right mentality and tenacity humans are capable of damn near anything
Yes like slaughtering animals just BECAUSE and then disrespecting their corpses by skinning them and hanging them on a tree. You seriously think that's OK???
I listen to these podcast in full at work every day. I love it, but I especially love being able to watch clips afterwards. I hope the clips are still around in the future.
The compassion Jordan has for other people compliments his skills as well. How many other guest do you know show Jamie that much attention? Jordan knows that Joe isn't the only person in the room that's interested in him.
Jordan is my favorite person I’ve ever seen on Alone. He’s just a bad@ss mother. He’s also the only guy to never complain about anything. I was so happy for him when he won.
I watched this season - this guy I picked up on pretty early and picked him to win mid way through. He just didn'tn let anything get to him. Acted a bit aloof, but it was a tool. He is very smart. He didn't take failures as much more than, eh, ok, that didn't work, let's do this other thing...cool man. He is how you live life through hardship.
Just finished all 8 seasons. Great show. You can really tell right away now who is going to win by their attitude and skills. All the winners have similar traits. The only season that surprised me was Sam outlasting Britt in season 5. That kid is a trooper even when hes not getting much calorie intake.
In Utah at the end of winter the rivers were almost pure melted snow. If you are high enough (elevation not the other kind) you can drink straight out of the river.
He "so" deserved to win. Smart, prepared, skillful, funny, positive attitude, staying power. Think about it, how many people kept coming up with innovative ideas (what about that net he wove?!!) and capturing food.
Watched this show . The whole time was rooting for you . Said wow he is from lynchburg Virginia I’m in Virginia as well . You and your wife brought tears to my eyes . Congrats to you and your family.
Just finished watching season 6. I'm blown away not only by his survival skills, but his character. I never once saw him lose his temper when facing the many trials out there, and he doesn't use God's name in vain. Congrats Jordan. So glad you won.
I live in the NWT. Do a lot of fishing trips to the far part of the lake we call the East arm(where they filmed) the water is so clean its absolutely ok to drink from it. Where Jordan was, is some of the best fishing on Great Slave Lake.
I haven't watched alone , but just seeing your attitude with Joe gives me hope in the human race . Keep leading by example bro, Hope to meet you someday.
The Wolverine that killed the polar bear actually broke out of its shelter in the zoo and broke into the polar bears and closure with the bear in the neck until it was all drained of all blood dead. They are one badass predator
Just watched this series! Loved it! Typically love Joe Rogan too but this interview sucked, seemed like he wasn’t informed at all on the show and clearly never watched it. Showed big time in his lack of level of respect for what Jordan accomplished.
