Notoriously known as “Texas” these are the real streets and worst hoods of Orlando. A subscriber gives us the drop on an apartment complex that’s notoriety first in the streets.
I grew up in Dr Phillips so I know this area pretty well. Back in the 90s, it wasn't as bad as it is now unfortunately. Crazy though because if you cross John Young Parkway going towards obt. It's like flipping a switch. It's wild
It was in the news as far back in the 90s, so probably 25 years or so of problems. Many fires and police basically wouldn't get a chance to leave because the next call was already waiting for them.
90% of Tymberskan is gone now. it was almost entirely full of gutted/burnt down/caving in/squatted in/boarded up units 5 years ago, never seen anything like it in any other city
It was shocking. the notion its a "condominium" WT crap! notice when we drove thru, about a dozen people who were outside WENT IN.. ant never seen anything like that in USA. reminds me of Prichard in Alabama
@@richardhanes7370 For sure, E Cleveland is far more wild than Orlando, no doubt. It's just this particular Condo complex in Orlando is/WAS one of a kind from what i've seen, and I've traveled a lot. I drove my buddy from Milwaukee through Tymberskan, Milwaukee is filled with hoods and the craziest of everything, and he was even in shock haha. At one point we saw a little kid inside a real run down unit staring out the window at us, felt like a horror movie or some shit. Poor kid.
Love your videos! But word of advice when your driving through the hood, don’t do so much slowing down and turning around. It makes people feel like you up to no good especially if they don’t know your car…
I grew up in this area and it used to not be that bad. We used to hang out in that neighborhood and have fun…beach club, dunwoody, rio grande. I moved to Texas now though and I’m happy in my small town.
For 3,000 a month you would need to make over 100,000 a year if a 3/1 income to rent ratio is required. But that's true in a lot of newer "middle class" apartment complexes. But a lot of older complexes people have only a fraction of that income on average, -many paying majority of income on rent...
@conservativethinker92 Sorry, I did not understand your comment. Do you mean stop WRITING capital letters where I wrote the word CITY? IF THAT'S THE CASE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO, RIGHT?
Lol those are not the hoods. People from out of state move there. Haven't been in Orlando in years. Texas Ave was never known to be a hood. That was Mercy Drive. , Paramore and Pine hills. Though I'm not sure how much changed. Miami hoods are much worse though.
He also didn't go into some of the worst areas, but I mean even compared to where I used to live even those areas are nicer than where I grew up (with the exception of tymber skan, that place is garbage for so many reasons... its wild it can even still exist the way it does with building codes and everything else). Even then some of the areas he went to in this video I would not be hanging out around night time. I knew a guy who moved here from New York and he was robbed at gunpoint walking his dog literally the second day he moved in. The wildest thing about this area is if you drive like a mile or two west you start to see supercar dealerships and rich people. Hard redlining going on in this area.
Hi I live in Orlando fl and there alot of hood places u need to check out pine hills area and parromorre next that Chinese place restaurants by Texas Ave is good 👍 and I thought they close down the timerskan apartment long time ago I can't believe that apartment still exists lol and plus I have seen the apartment in a long time but it hard to see it because it hidden in the bushes area and also Americana blvd is bad places as well too
Ahhh my grandmas old neighborhood.. 36th street represent. I grew up in Casselberry after moving out out of colonial town in 93. I use to walk Rio grande with my cousin in the 90s and never had problems though. Ahh that Winn Dixie takes me back. Orlando has continue to evolve but people typically congregate towards each other. It's very racially subjugated, you can drive down any even number state road i.e. (50, 436, 17-92) as you travel down them from coast to coast you will drive through so many different cultures and class/caste all within a short distance from each other. It's the one thing I missed and appreciated as a OG Orlando local. I've since moved out of Fla.
You’re actually gonna roll to Tymber Skan. Myself and my security team used to work arm security in that shit hole. This is a place for the orange county sheriffs department or even go inside. Yet we had court orders that we had to move inside four times in the night and patrol that mess.
It would appear that they have cleaned it up considerably over the last couple years. At one point in time there was no one living there, but a bunch of squatters. There was talk of the city commission of Orlando of just shutting off the water, shutting off the power, and then bulldozing it down to the ground to make a park out of it. But I guess that project on hold now.
No it’s pretty bad. This area reversed itself from being not so bad from the 90’s to pretty bad in the 00’s. Probably because Orlando gentrified areas making residents move further down south or further up north.
I LOVE THAT PLACE! When we can afford it we stay at the new hotel there! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ sadly on this trip we couldn't. I think we have done at least 2 videos in lake nona at this point!
I use to live out Orlando downtown and metro west area and they definitely got some pretty hoods out there I use to move around like nothing no police problems nun and I use to cop my weed off mercy I use to tell my co workers all the time there hoods nice and clean in Richmond va shit look like a tornado hit the jects they got it good out in the O
Went down to inspect a property for sale in a small community. The area was so bad, that the mailman pulled a gun on me. The car he was using was armored. He told me that the condo unit which had gone in to receivership, was filled with lowlife scum, who would randomly take shots at him with a .22. I asked if he got combat pay (I said jokingly) and he told me "yes".
A freaking lie. Nobody is doing that. Especially repeatedly like you're claiming. People aren't just gonna shoot at him in broad daylight for no reason at all. People over there or anywhere don't typically just shoot at random civilians they aren't beefing with and dont even know. I've stayed in that area before and have a relative who has been over there for many many years. And if people were randomly shooting a the mailman repeatedly it would make the news for 1, and for 2, he wouldn't be going back over there. He would request another area to work. Again, pretending that random people are just shooting at a random mailman for no reason is a straight up lie. Gang members included. the most scummiest Gang bangers and drug dealers over there don't do stupid crap like that. Ain't no one trying to go to prison for life over something that they don't gain anything from. You people are crazy. And that fact some people would actually believe your lie speaks to the low intelligence level of some in this country.
😂🤣can't trust someone that states "Orlando over all us safe" about 20 times..also; people who use "entire world" have you lived in every little corner of the world?😂😂
My wife used to live off Texas when we first met. That area isn't as bad as people would have you believe. Act like an adult and you tend to be left alone.
South Texas Ave is very bad but if you want to top that in Orlando go to parramore ave not too far from church street Station... its so ghetto they got a drive by shooting lane !!!
So if it has black people its a ''Hood''. Orlando is my hometown and I have never had trouble walking the streets in any part of town. Any trouble seems to come from those that have moved there from other states. 😎
Miami like 30 deep every corner and you see homeless fights broad day while driving people be crashing everyday running into each other orlando Dead too rural need to go to Mercy drive more population i used to hand out flyers to go to church for teen challenge Sanford fl
the worst part about florida are the cops.. i was given a no tresspass order in my own neighborhood. Florida is proud we ripped those up infront of police that issued them.
