A lot of the facts in this video are wrong. For instance, his Mother gave him the pendant with the musical note. Not his Grandparents. He was also much younger when he started singing at home. I think Steve let people know what he wanted them to know, he discussed his family life, he discussed his personal life, why he didn't get into relationships and why the relationship with Sherrie Swafford never worked out, so when he was asked he would answer, yes he is a very private mysterious gentleman, and I think we should respect that, I mean I do. I really wish you would do some research before you do a report like this. I’m five minutes into the audio and they’re already so many facts that are not correct. For instance, it was not 1976 when Steve had decided to give up on his music dream. It was 1977. Also, Journey aka the Golden gate rhythm section was formed in 1972, not 1973. Neal has even stated this in several interviews as has Herbie Herbert. Also, it is not true, that no one participated in naming the band. They received several suggestions, however, most of them were not appropriate and utterly ridiculous. In addition, to that note, the bands name was changed in mid 1974, way before they had Fleischman or Perry. Herbie did not secretly start looking for another vocalist while Fleischman was in the band. He had already known about Steve Perry for well over a year. He was already considering Steve, but he already promised the job to Fleischman. This is ridiculous. You need to get your facts straight problem is so many people are gonna listen to this. I think it’s real information and it’s not.

Secondly, it states that Steve never believed in 'love' - another lie as virtually all of his songs reveal. Additionally, there are too many mistakes here to cover them all. When he first started 'dating' Kelly Nash, she was clear of any cancer and was hoping for a life of remission. This failed to happen. The video states otherwise. This is a 'bad dog' video. If you want truth - you are unlikely to find it here.
