It's been a snowy couple of days, but it's winter at its best here in Sweden. At least in my opinion! Just an "ordinary weekend" out here in the Swedish countryside. taking care of the shores, visiting our neighbors for a classic Swedish fika and buying locally produced food from the tiny market and cafe i our area.

I'm so very happy that Jonna introduced me to your channel.... I really love it when people, especially women, support each other and are not afraid to share each other's vlogs. You make me happy.... I know you have many health issues and I do as well, but somehow you are giving me some courage to keep going. I live alone so I admit I'm wishing I had the nice husband and pets but that's life, we must appreciate those things when we have them. Lots of love and warm hugs to you from South East England. I am so glad Jonna said to check out your channel, I love your channel so much. It is so hard to find videos I like, so thank you. 💕 I live in Kansas, USA. and I have been stuck in the snow so many times, and I hate it so much! We have a role, that if you are going out when it is cold, you make sure to have the proper clothing with you in case you have to walk. No sense in freezing to death just because you were too lazy to take a coat!

Oh my goodness! I want to move to Sweden, and live in a beautiful little village like yours. Really, it’s tempting 😀. So cozy - the sweet treats, chunky sweaters, cuddly dogs, adorable cafe with old wooden tables. The drive to your neighbors house was like a beautiful fairy tale. You're just so lovely and sweet. Thank you for sharing glimpses into your life in beautiful rural Sweden. I live in Houston Texas, USA, and we never get snow. I really had tears in my eyes when I saw the pretty winter forest, all the snow, the beautiful landscape. My heart is so longing for snow and cold! Here in Berlin, Germany, we don't get snow that often, and when we have it at all, it gets dirty and muddy really fast... I need to travel to scandinavia in winter! My heart needs it!

Hihi me too! Next year we must change it up though! Either some kind of snow-bike-thing (don't know the word in English) or some kind of Jeep or..well, something to not needing to call the Farmer if we get snowed in. Although he is super nice and kind enough to help us!

You are right about the "no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothes" we have that saying too in UK. I see lots of similarities but we don't know we'll get snow every year. So far there has been a lot in the west but not the east where I am, and lots in the far south west which is really unusual. Of course it's all Brits talk about because it's so unpredictable! You must get a 4 x 4, I couldn't survive in the countryside without mine as we have lots of hills that get icy. You'll find a great difference. Keep warm with your lovely pets!

We probably should, we'll see what happens next year/winter season :P Hubby actually leases the car through his work and hence they have specific requirements that the car have to meet, for example it needs to be within some environmental more friendly parameters so to speak. Don't know if that is the correct terms but maybe you understand what I am trying to say. But we said that (to each other)that we really need another car to "mix it up" so we don't get snowed in . Actually not the safest for me either with my health, if I would need an ambulance under these circumstances they would not be able to drive to our house. Not good. Oups hehe, that became a long answer, but yeah, it's something to think about for next season for sure! Big hug!

Your videos are so Kose. I love it . I love them. Norway has the same thing. No such thing as bad weather.. only bad clothes. I have always thought that snow is Gods dina for us. If you use it properly.. it can keep you from freezing to death. It is soft and lovely.. and makes the world so quiet. Winter is my favorite. It always makes me a little sad when the days start getting warm. I love to see you LIVING!!! not simply surviving. I think most people just survive.. the go through the motions. They don't absorb life. I love your heart. AND... we( Klara and I ) approve of your hubby. He is very much like mine.

A good tip is to put your floor mat from inside the car in front of the tires. That should do the trick!

Hihi yeah I know sometimes that works, if we could have moved forward from where we got stuck we would have, but it was just another 50 cm of snow so the only way was to shovel some snow, put it in reverse and go back :P Surrender to the forces of the winter ;)

From what I have seen in your stunning vlogs I think you would love it up here my dear, we are an off grid property (the only one entirely off grid sun and wind powered) in Arctic Norway, we do own a Viking inspired rental roundhouse BnB and a Witchy shop called Alvebakken, it would be great if you decided to visit to explore this place some day! Thank you so much! ! Although, this isn't that far up north, it's more like "in the middle" (watch my Q&A video before Christmas 2018 if you want and I explain more). Feel just a tiny bit envious of all the snow, it’s so so beautiful, though I must be honest and say that I would not be able to cope with walking in it, but just to open the door or look through the window and watch it would be a real treat for me. In the UK this winter there has been quite a bit of snow in some places but not for us, we just missed it apart from a little sprinkling one day. I do so love your videos very much, the peace and tranquility is something so many crave today and I can experience a little of that through your videos, thank you.

We use to build snow ball IGLO with a couple of candles in it in the afternoon as it gets dark early and by the time we were ready it was dark and watched it from the window. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL and PEACEFUL.

Hello Maria, thank you for your latest vlog. I found you through your wonderful Swedish Advent Calendar. I so admire your courage in the face of your health difficulties. I live in Western Massachusetts where we sometimes have real winter. Not this year! @@NorthernHeart I say about the snow chains for the tyres on car as my moma @ Popa lived in Canada and he always talked about the snow. Chains which worked very well I think.... cheeper than 4 wheel drive ..to start with anyway 😍💖💕

Hello Maria. Glad to see a new post. Absolutely beautiful scenery. I'm originally from the Florida Keys and our winters were quite different. If it got below 60 degrees we'd break out the blankets. I hope someday you " your husband can visit. We may not have the snow but we have the most beautiful sunrises & sunsets in the world.

Hi Maria! I have heard it before "there is no bad weathers, only bad clothes!"....I'm also subscribed to the youtube channel of a girl who lives in Norway and she said that.....she also shows us that snow is fun but brings a lot of work as well......even so, one day I would love to spend some days or a period of time (longer than just some days) in a place or country where I could experience snow.....I live in Brazil which is a tropical country but I have a special feeling for countries that have snow and well defined seasons.

You seem much better now and seem to be stronger to get around. That is great to see. brrrrrr,looks very cold .today i'm dusting off my flip flops as we are having 70 degrees in North Carolina at least until weekend ,but the signs of spring are popping up all over .sweet buds of life on tips of tulip trees and daffodils poking up here and there . so today imagine the grass green the sky a beautiful blue not a cloud to be found . a gift of sun and warm temperatures , sent to you . now for tee shirts and shorts and walking my dog till we see the sun setting against the long leaf pine forest and the horses kicking up clouds of dust as they play in the last light . warm wishes and sunny thoughts to you and yours.

Hihi, you're sweet, thank you for the gift of sun! But the warmer temperature can wait a little bit, they'll get here soon enough. I actually love the winter as much as all the other seasons. There is something so special about having a clear, spring, summer, autumn and winter. It makes me appreciate what each season has to offer even more. :) But come the end of march I would love you to send some warmer temperatures my way, and fast, because by then I'm going to be really tired of the winter ;) Best wishes and Puss & Kram

@@NorthernHeart here in the south we start our gardens by march as summer is very hot . i will add my mother is from Maine and have had the experience of snow up past the windows , my Dad from North Carolina did not enjoy early morning snow removal so we picked NC in winter and Maine in summer ,you enjoy your season i'm off to walk my boy Toby he loves it . today is 80 degrees but by Sunday back in the 50's which is our normal for February ,this week is a gift from Florida thanks to a change in wind direction , i'll send you flowers azaleas and dogwood trees in bloom as we have a very showy spring with flowers on top of flowers and the horses reaching over the fence for a we bit of tender young grass . just a day dream away .

You're walking in that stuff a LOT better than I would ... especially with my spinal stenosis! Those doggies really scoot through that white dirt! I hope you are feeling well today!
