The Christmas preparations have begun, I'm not even joking :D Christmas is months away but there are still things to prepare, if you want to do it yourself that is.
This is just a little glimpse into my everyday life, I hope you like it!

Very lovely, Maria! I enjoyed hearing the rustle of the oats and can almost smell them! Just read your recent post on my email as well and was so pleased and inspired by your healing journey. It reminded me of a time in my 40's where I was able to hike to the top of a mountain after having spent 3 years in recovery from a terrible back injury that left me barely able to walk. Doctors were no help, more a hindrance. But I put faith in my body's wisdom...and 3 years later, there I was at the top of a mountain after a 6 mile hike. A beautiful moment. Thank you for the recollection. Keep on, Beauty!

Though the video was short, it was interesting, and beautifully done with lovely music, as always. When I was a young lady, I used to pick stalks of indigenous plants that had dried in the field or on the side of the road. They were surprisingly pretty and varied in hue. You picking the oats makes me want to look around to see what I can find to create a dried bouquet this fall. Thank you for that reminder. Sometimes we get so busy we fail to see much of the beauty surrounding us. Today, you prompted me to look, gave me eyes to see, again.

I looked up the oat bouquet as a Christmas tradition. I see that people often buy the dried bouquets in craft shops, (because they don't live next door to a field of oats!) and also make mini bouquet garlands for the Christmas tree. Nice! See, I learned something new from this video. I wonder if "your" farmer dries some of his to sell to stores, or if all his oats go for food.
