✋🛑 CAMARO SS vs CAMARO ZL1! WHY YOU SHOULDN'T UPGRADE (3 REASONS WHY) 

i am happy with my 2021 2ss they are like not that often in the streets they are rare, but the zl1 that’s ultra rare, and that does get a lot of attention more than a hellcat cuz not everyone has a zl1, respect to the people who have SS and ZL1’s💯

As a ZL1 owner myself, I can confirm all of his points

Once a long time ago when I was about 14 years years old I asked guy what his hot rod Mustang got for gas mileage. He looked at me and said, "who cares" I never asked that question again.

main reason im in no rush to get a ZL! the SS is expensive too lol !!

i had to stop it right there when he talked about the gas LOL your getting a 6.2L Supercharged V8 you not getting it to save gas.

I have a 2015 Camaro SS and I just bought a 2023 ZL1 M6. I agree the ZL1 uses more gas than the 2015 SS. I am going to keep my 2015 to use daily and the ZL1 for fun. I am retired and don't drive that much. I hope you have concealed weapon permit so you can protect your property. I live in a small town in central Florida and crime isn't that bad. However, you have to pay attention when you are out in public. I plan on keep the key fobs in a metal can and bought the protective pouches for the keys also. You have to pay to play.

I dont know, as a 2SS owner I still get attention (not as much as I used to). When I just got this car the amount of attention was overwhelming. People would stop me at a gas stations, parking lots, everyone wanted to race me etc... Sometimes too much attention becomes negative and annoying.

My dad has the 2021 C8 it seems to always get attention. I ordered a 2023 2SS 1LE that is being built at the factory right now. My dad ordered the 2023 ZL1 that just got picked up and build date is set for April 17th. I can’t wait we both got our in rapid blue it will fun to take both of them to shows. You have an amazing car.

I didn't buy my 2023 camaro ss for gas mileage. But it does get annoying EVERYONE challenging you everywhere I go. Sometimes I can be parked, and cars Rev their engine as they pass by 😂

Zl1’s aren’t common like hellcats. I rarely ever see ZL1’s. I have yet to see a convertible ZL1 in person lol

I have a ZL1 and didn’t get it for gas mileage and the gas mileage is fine to me. I don’t run around racing everywhere and I also have a SS Camaro which I don’t drive as much as my ZL1.

So basically just for those just getting into Camaro and learning the differences of, a ZL1 is just a more luxurious Super Sport and possibly for this model more of a gas guzzler, but not in all years just for this year....

And for the ss guys bragging I smashed a zl1 you can mod a zl1 way easier than a ss zl1 has forged internals logic is wack like a ford guy rather have a gt than a shelby also my ss was 42 new i paid 48 for my first zl1 so maybe try a trade in get a zl1 for ss payments if your car is paid off

Gotta pay to play. These cars have a much higher level of performance. So things will cost more. More power, better tires, better brakes, less fuel mileage. As for attention, I get it. There are some idiots out there. Got to pay attention to your surroundings and also not put yourself in a bad situation. Late night at gas stations or bad areas of town could result in an attempted car jacking.

I have a 22 SS1le. And yes they burn a lot of gas, I believe I get 13mpg I can imagine what the ZL1 averages. But I don’t complain, luckily I have a company gas card. I have not paid for gas in the last 10years. My Camaro is similar in color to this. I keep my car in the garage. I have a small video check it out.

If they can follow you home in a zl1 you can't drive for shit. Unless they are in a Gt3, and then maybe you should follow them lol.

You need to work on the facts , most of what you said is wrong ..mpg is a calculation miles driven ÷ by gallons used ..its bad is subject to your foot .. 325 35 20 tires on a non zl1 1le on the rear ..
