Watched countless vids and your was the only one to finally recommend removing the lid to pull the loop to release the door latch. Seriously saved the day since the wet load would have been trapped in there for over 10 days. Can't imagine how much of a mildew/mold mess would be waiting for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Thanks very much for the advice. I had unplugged the washer, seen the locked door light go out, re-plugged the machine and the door was still locked. You mentioned a five minute pause before re-plugging to allow capacitors to discharge and I just hadn’t thought about that with a washing machine. I paused the re-plug and the door lock clicked open. MAY THE WIND BE EVER AT YOUR BACK, MAY THE RAIN FALL GENTLE ON YOUR FIELDS……

So grateful, 2010 whirlpool duet door stuck shut; wet laundry inside. Too old for parts I think. Use very little detergent, mostly soap nuts except towells for salon. Always less detergent bc i use the steam sanitize for towels less HE detergent and add oxy 1/3 recommended. So grateful to sleep(not worried about laundry stuck and stinking over night) tonight bc of your videos! God bless you!

Thank you! My motor won’t shut off and door won’t open, so I have to wait for my husband to get home to remove dryer from the top for a hard reset.
