Correct, how it should have been done. Handbrake turn, no bogging down, if you watch on mute the car just moves and he can repeat the technique on another difficult corners. I feel like most of the people didn't install a hydraulic handbrake which is a must for rally. Can't just rely on the turning radius every time....
I agree, but what do you mean? Not hesitating to drive their cars how they were meant to? I like the way some of these cars are upgraded to make them more usable, not just restored to factory condition!
@@jonywalabi2647 This isn't really specific to these cars, like teh Escort, which is regularly hooned through european stages, but often Japanese owners care less about the perceived value of their car than enjoying it. So you get rare cars used as daily drivers, or gloriously stupid builds like a Mercedes S class with f1 exhaust! Showroom condition be damned
I am from Czech Republic and i am really surprised to see Fabia R5s are running wild on Japan rally. It is not bad car, but deffinately you can do better guys! Whats wrong with handbrake on GR Yaris? ...My only dilema with that car is 3 cylinder engine, otherwise I LOVE IT and prefere it to Fabia.
15:48 is the future. Get the car you need and just engine swap it for drifting/rally/track etc. There is a big performance crisis in the car culture right now, there is nothing worth buying. It's either a) diesel b) automatic c) front wheel drive. Toyota are selling Hi-Ace in Australia with 3.5 V6 (same as 350z) and it's a better buy than Miata/GT86/Z4/Yaris GR/.... it's newer, it can fit entire dinasty of illegal mexicans, it's RWD, manual, it's fast, and it cost reasonable for the working man.
