I got a 1984 GPZ 750 Turbo back in 1986. Wow! What a fun bike to ride. If you notice the boost gauge, the boost came on very brutally at 6K rpm. It was at that point it felt like you went from a fast bike to being strapped onto a rocket. Wish I still had it. BTW; It would be nice if someone would do an english translation of this video.
the fact that I can't understand a word spoken in this video doesn't bother me.. The way they filmed to ride portion is so perfect and gave me raging petrolerection..
I didn't understand anything about what he said, but I just know one thing: how I love those old japanese gemmes on wheels !! the bike doesn't have a "turbo gauge" ?
Hell yes it does, above rpm guage. It was digital horizontal bars, had '86 rt off showroom floor. I'd get her up to 150 on I-5 just past Sacramento Airport, hoping a Pheasant or Jack Rabbit didn't spoil the day. Wish I'd never sold it!
@@gregbaker9857 So good stuff mate !! I'm a deadfool Kawa fan since I saw in magazine mr Lawson on a Z1000! yes just the pictures and some few words 'cause I'm not in USA...And just sat on the passenger's friends seat had a 900 Ninja in the late 90's. Wowwww, it was woowww first time I ran over 220 km/h ! Late we projected a replica on a 1100 Zephyr, but the carbs were so stuck by dirt an old benzine...
@@dafily1697 Once it's in your blood, there's no getting the two Wheeler's out! Had dirt bikes from age four, Honda Mini Trail 50, Suzuki RM 125, Honda CR 250, then on to the road bikes. My passion for them carried over to my son, who served two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. After 7yrs became a civilian again, moved back to Nor-Cal, shows up one day at my shop on a beautiful Harley Softail. Was happy for him, but I know all too well some of idiot drivers on the roads, even though he'd been to war I'd remind him as he was leaving, you can't assume people see you. 2/19/2022 he'll be 32, I lost him on 11/04/2020 to an inexperienced 17yr old kid, who turned on a left red arrow right into my son's path. He gotten off work and was 5-6 minutes from his house, the Honda C BR 1000 was barely recognizable. Two weeks later 16hrs before his full Military funeral, his second daughter was born. Several times a day I'll hear a bikes exhaust approaching a four way stop close to my place and for a minute, it'll sound like it's turning into our back alley where he'd park when coming by for a cold one. If you're still riding brother, keep your head on a swivel!
@@gregbaker9857 Aahh! I start my day with a coffee and your few words...Make me feel so sad and the same time sending some love to your family Greg... Yes even we know that riding bike is dangerous, I can't stop because it's a real passion. Had rather dirt bikes than roady in my life and started ride them at the age of 11 (a CB 450 with the owner behind !): RM 125 250, several PE 175, several IT 200 490, Honda MT, CR, XR 200, 500, 600...And just 3 road bikes: Yam 350, Honda 400 and Kawa 800. My passion carried to my son too, but at the age of 13, he had a stroke and get paralyzed in part of his left side, thanx God he could walk but his left still stuck so I bought him an automatic moped: Yam Chappy 50cc. It was easy for him to start riding "bike" an enjoying the feeling to be free and some "speed" !! I just had to exchange those brake levers, put the back one one his ride side because of his stuck left hand. He enjoyed his moped during 3 years and left it for carrying on studies overseas...We can say Greg, that maybe we had some enough luck in our life about riding bikes cause I lost some friends too. stay safe, all my love to your family bro, Phil.
Give it to me I'll show you how, given it a handful on the straight any fool can do that.. That 750 turbo would look great next to all my old bikes, want to sell it.?.
@@copper9head Blimey thats Too strong for me. Put it up in MCN, load of geezers out there with that sort of dosh. I won't insult you with how I see it.. Cheers Mate.
Hahaha. I'm a short arse and used to ride the wheels off mine. Owned it for 5 years and still miss it. The looks it used to draw off other road users and passers by......Including the police..
