She probably was an aggressive teenager who hated school and parents and other "authorities" telling her what to do. A "shy" girl would work in some fast food restaurant or kindergarten, I believe. She could move to another country and start over with a foreigner who will never know her past. Happens more often than you may think. Hope that response was not too lengthy. Sounds like there is always a worry of the guys being a bit too forward. Especially when she said of the clients she'd get late at night pulling out the cash on her. I imagine that was a bit pressuring along with the failed relationships she has had with the clients. I know both the men and women have to drink a lot and there's always that risk of not fully consenting in those situations. You're wrong. I know personally some girls that were far from being the cutests of all and yet were popular hostesses. Being a good host/hostess isn't all about looks (of course it still has importance) you could be the prettiest one but if you suck at socializing you would get 0 income, while another who would be less pretty but good at talking/socializing would get all the money.

One question *****. Have you ever lived/been in Japan. I've been there several times and even worked for a Japanese company and can assure you that some girls, once free of all artifice (make up, contact lenses etc) are at most 4's, yet they are popular kyabajo's and make serious income.
