I am quite surprised that a Kei van did that much damage and survived hitting the train. Still, I am glad that there were no serious injuries. Trains can be repaired, people, not so much.
This train was relatively slow. While the train was running, a small car entered the crossing and hit the side of the train. The driver was a 78-year-old man. In Japan, serious accidents like this caused by cars driven by elderly people occur frequently and have become a social problem.
