@@SunnieWoo flaxseed 是亞麻籽油,omega-3的比例多 (50-60%),最少可以平衡 omega-6 : omega-3 的比例。 其他好處,眾說紛紜。總之不是用來煎炒的。(因為 omega-3 稍高温便被破壞了)

Can u also talk about MCT oil n its usage in Chinese cooking? It has too low smoking point and cannot even used for usual frying....

MCT oil (C6, C8, C10, not including C12 lauric acid) is not suitable for cooking. Though its oil composition is stable on heating, its smoke point is relatively low. ... unlike most seed oil, which smoke point is high, but unstable on heating and will result in polar compounds and other unhealthy products on prolonged heating.

謝謝媽媽Priscilla 回覆。有關cold pressed flax oil 有可能加工過程做了工序提升煙點,咁樣這個油就無咁健康, 無咁 pure 喇。唔知我咁樣講岩唔岩呢? 唔該媽媽 Priscilla .

For sure you can, but I won't recommend coconut oil as a daily cooking oil.

網上話 cold pressed oil 不宜高温煮食,家裏有一樽 organic cold pressed pure flax oil unrefined, 包裝上話180°C高煙點適合煎炒。唔明點解 Flax oil 煙點這麼高。

EVOO 往往更高,理論上一般煎炒,油温都不會達到160°C。 (片中說180°C,大概是猛火預熱的温度,不信可以量量温度) 只不過高品質的EVOO中有些最有價值的營養,在較低温已被破壞,實在是浪費)。

How do we know if smoke point is exceeded? By seeing when a lot of smoke coming out? If thr isnt any smoke coming out when deep frying with extra vurgin olive oil, is this considered harmful to us?

偶然一次機會下,用冷压欖油搽手後,張紙巾比隻喵喵偷走👅👅👅,🤣當時嚇死我驚食左有乜事,後來發現原來話d貓係可以食冷压欖油,所以而家keep住都會比一茶羹佢食下,預防心血管疾病。

Hi 媽媽 Priscilla 家裏有一支橄欖油,樽上的中文話係初搾,但英文話係extra Virgin 。令我有些混淆。應該相信中文還是英文呢? 中文: 初搾橄欖葵花籽油 英文 :Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Sunflower Seed Oil 請給意見。唔該。

初榨 是extra virgin的翻譯 嚴格而言,還可以分是否 cold press (冷壓或冷榨) 不過,加了葵花籽油,根本就和橄欖油脫離關係了,是否初榨的意義也不大。

大部份種子油都是奧米加6脂肪酸很高. 可算健康的油如橄欖油, 牛油果油, 加上要吃含奧米加三的食物, 改善奧米加3:6比例便可以.
