sometimes i appreciate our times...im sitting comfy at home and watching over the shoulder of an absolute genius and a living legend...imagine how special that would be without the internet...you had to be friends with him to watch him so private at work...
I know I'm not the only one who saw this and said "Man, I need to either draw a LOT more or quit..." The light, the contour and volume, so much work to do. But, if this is the level of realization waiting it will be worth the work. It's a good thing I love it.
Yes, it's still enjoyable whatever amount I do. Although, if I try to get this good, it will require single-minded focus @ several hours /day. I'm probably more like a 1 hour / day artist and 2 on the weekends, strictly a hobbyist.
His abilities with brush and ink are jaw-dropping, not to mention his complete mastery of perspective. The way he goes from jet black to gray wash is amazing...I'd really love to see the finished comic!
It's too blur to be called sketches. For me, they seem some sort of marks that help you to find where to start with. Maybe... you're right. I just didn't want to admit he's human. Lol
Makes sense. Everything needs to fit properly in the panel and there has to be conistency between panels, whereas normally his drawings are hust one and done.

I know. But great tools such as these seem to be (a brush pen with nice deep black, which can also be dipped in water to get greys, and a good paper, that doesn't buckle when wet) is something I have sought after for a long time! So I was just wondering.
Bboy Geometry It's ink, I have done something with what they called Chinese Ink at my school, which do the same effect. Though I was cleary in another dimension from him in term of talent.. maybe one day I'll as good but I should buy stuff and practice instead of just dreaming of it haha.
