I LOVE Universo, it's my 4th for 2020 and definitely my favorite Spanish entry since 2015. Honestly, I have no idea why the fandom has judged them so hard, the great party songs in 2016 and 2019 didn't fare so well in the show and it makes sense that Spain would change directions; Blas is also great live, so I think he could have easily pulled Spain out of the bottom 5. Luckily, he is the first confirmed contestant for 2021 :) so he'll be back and hopefully we'll see something equally great as Universo if Universo isn't eligible. I can't wait for your reaction to the Netherlands, I know that song will probably hit you. In general though, the Big 6 have DELIVERED this year.
Anita Shanker I’m so glad he will be back. Luckily, the fandom has absolutely no influence over my reactions and feelings about a song. For me it is the best Spanish entry since Dancing in the Rain.
All the big five and host country entries this year are male soloists, haha :) Lots of great female and group artists in the other 2020 entries, however.
@@eirikreigstad3649 there are good and bad ballads, good and bad pop songs, songs that are neither of the above. I have never really understood the strict distinction the ESC fandom seems to have.
I'm hoping a lot of the same artists get to come back next year, because I feel that that high note needs to be heard live to be believed. I don't know how men do that.

Spain, Ukraine, Greece and someone else (I'm sorry, I forgot) already confirmed they'll keep the same artists. I'm so glad! It's the fairest thing to do. I also feel like they should be allowed to choose wherever they want to use the song from this year or write something new.
At first, I thought it was just okay...but it grew on me. I like it, I hope Spain will bring him back next year because he's actually a great live singer.

This is yet another really strong entry. Absolutely fantastic voice and a really great pulsing song that hooks you in really quickly. It really is such a pity we're never going to see these performed on the Eurovision stage.
I feel the same. It would've been great seeing it performed. I admire Blas, just recently, i don't really know why his songs are helping me to get excited about life again. Blas seems to me like a new model of humans coming now like índigo or cristal...they seem fragile but they are strong, they say their truth with love even when we, older inhabitants of the earth, are used to hide ourselves to fit in... This is a solid entry from Spain. Nothing too special, but still my favourite Spanish entry in years. All of the big 6 except France (imo) are bringing some quality this year. Even UK stepped up their game. And yes, all of them are male solo. Which gives Georgia's song another unintended layer...
This is a very solid radio-friengly song and Blas has an amazing and unique vocal and great styling.This was released early on and sadly was forgotten by the fandom!
@Tara king yes, it is but not very frequent in younger generations. Blas is also a last name wich is more usual to see, in fact, my own last name is Blasco, a variation of Blas.

I have many friends who are nurses and doctors being told to just wear bandanas because face masks aren’t available for them...and these are the people treating the most severe cases of Coronavirus.

Herman Let’s get through the 41 for Eurovision first. If I remember correctly, it’s also almost impossible for an American to post copyrighted content from Melodifestivalen. They are a lot more strict than even the EBU.
Tara king You know everyone is trying to make what at this point is whatever they can to offset the financial loss they’re going to have with Eurovision’s cancellation. I agree that the labels could be a little more flexible now with reactors who can’t offer them the opportunity to run ads. Sadly, for most people, it’s only about the money.
Tara king It’s complicated. For countries with RU-vid Premium, users can download the audio from videos instantly and for free. This means I could (theoretically) earn a profit from people downloading audio for a song that I don’t own the rights to. This is why I always break the videos in multiple places, so no one would be able to download the full audio from my channel. Yes, the general theory is that the more exposure a Eurovision song/video gets, the better for the artist, but the artist has virtually no say in whether a label chooses to enforce the copyright rules. It’s a really confusing world that is more and more falling on the side of copyright holders over reactors. If I was not as blessed as I am with subscribers and views, I’d find it very difficult to start the same channel today.

Blas Cantó's vocals are amazing he is amazing too in his live perfomances. I hope he is returning to esc 2021. To be honest I don't like my country's song this year, is not from me and it sounds very reppetitive to me.
I'm glad this year will not be celebrated cause I feel embarrased about this entry and I hope next year it will be a better song, however I don't trust it will happen
Not a bad offering. Luckily, Spain’s broadcaster RTVE has offered Blas the opportunity to represent Spain next year. So we’ll see him in 2021 hopefully in Rotterdam!
@@JakesFaceReacts he deserves it, he really wanted to be in eurovision, he tried when he was a kid to go to Junior eurovision and was second place to Maria Isabel, who won that year JESC, later he was in a boyband called Auryn and tried again to participate, but again didn't happen. He won Your face sound familiar, has a fantastic vocal range, he did Cher, Charles Aznavour, John Travolta, Ricky Martin and many more, he's a good professional, I was happy when he was chosen by RTVE to go to eurovision, and I'm happy that he'll be back next year
