As an American staying in Trinidad. I feel Trinidad is pretty safe. You just need to do what you would do anywhere and exercise caution. Thank you for sharing your experience.
@@StellaStarr-wb6ys To be honest. I have family there. I live half the time in Trinidad and half the time in the states. I don’t live there full time. To answer your question, the easiest way to gain citizenship is through marriage (if your husband/wife is from there) if you don’t already have roots there. You can also get a work or school visa. Someone who has lived their life there might know best. I’m definitely not the authority. I honestly suggest visiting first if you have not already. I hope this helps.💜 BTW! One of the best things about having a citizenship in Trinidad is that you are able to have dual citizenship.
What is the best way to get around Trinidad and Tobago like which Uber app or company or taxi service in a safe way and what not to do or to watch out for going soon please help
@@StellaStarr-wb6ysThere are 4 ways to gain citzenship for Trinidad and Tobago; 1 being born here,2 descend if one of your parents or both parents are born here and you were born in some other coutry you can apply through descent, 3 marriage to a local and 4 natrualization. Yes I am a Trinidadian.
@@nichollabrathwaite-mundy5126can you apply if it is a grandparent or great grandparent? I feel connected to my Trini heritage and want to move after college.
My guys! Hands down this was one of the best videos on Trindad I have ever seen, you have done us justice . Thank you for visiting our beautiful county and explaining it so well ❤
I mistakenly said Port of Prince instead of Port of Spain at the beginning of the video. Just woke up early after a long flight with a layover from LA. Was a bit disoriented, forgive me the wonderful people of TT!
Great Job Highlighting Sweet TNT! It’s ok to make errors along the way. Most important is that your experience was a genuine and authentic one. Trinidad & Tobago has been portrayed in a very negative light and it’s refreshing to see when visitors can attest that they had a great experience! It’s the Foodie Capital of the Caribbean for sure! Most species of Birds in the Caribbean as well. So much to see and do! The diversity of the Culture makes it one of the most interesting places to visit! 🇹🇹
interesting watching from the uk england my dad from trinidad at last something postive about trinidad compared to vice news coverage thanks for your video just subscribed
Hello Profound Travelz may this message find you and your love ones in good health, high spirit and a joy for life. This is my first time on your channel, it was truly an enjoyable experience. As a expat birthed in Trinidad raised mainly in America your video was one of the best that I have watched thus far, although you did mispronounce some of the names of places i.e. Port of Spain, and food ( ROO TEE)( not Rawti). However, I love the fact that you took the road less travelled, you visited the Botanical Gardens, hiked up The Lady Chancellor Road and learned to wine. I especially love that you visited Carenage. This is my community, a special one and watching it brought huge smiles to my face. Your interactions with local Trinbagonians highlight the importance of travel, it is about having genuine connection with people. Travel is about being present in the moment and allowing every experience to count. I am so proud of my people for demonstrating some of the great qualities that defines our Trinbogonian spirit, we are hospitable, we are friendly, we are generous and we love life. Trinidad and Tobago have challenges like anywhere else in the world, we do not have ownership of negativity. We are a multicultural, multi religious, diverse society economic island and with that there are challenges. Trinidad and Tobago is a beautiful, lush, vibrant, innovative and unique nation. One of if not the richest in the Caribbean region. One must experience it for their self in order to feel its spirit. Thank You Profound Travelz! The wonderful work that you are doing through traveling this great planet is pure ministry. Sharing your videos enable us all to see the similarities, , differences and uniqueness through this human experience known as LIFE.
I appreciate your kind words and watching. It was a truly refreshing and spiritually enhancing experience to visit TT. The beautiful landscape and love of the people were amazing. The multicultural aspect of TT was so vibrant, and we learned so much. Connecting with locals is a primary goal for me when I travel. We're planning to return for Carnival 2025. God bless fam!
@@Profound_Travelz GREAT! You should visit for CARNIVAL, you will be blown away. You are about to witness "THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH"! Trinidad & Tobago is INDEED BEAUTIFUL.On your next trip you should go hiking, check out more beaches and waterfalls. Also take the party boat so you can go around Carenage area including Five Islands. Lastly spend at least a week in Tobago you will see why we are name after THE HOLY TRINITY.
@traceecoltes2460 I wholeheartedly believe everything you're saying about Carnival and I cannot wait! And Tobago was nothing such of paradise, heavenly like
@@Profound_Travelz I think you should reach out to the Ministry of Tourism of Trinidad & Tobago. Your videos are really we'll done. You have a great way of narrating. Your ability to connect with the people and scenery is truly inspiring. Show them your videos, let them know what your objective is and see where it goes. It is my belief that you will get beyond what you think is possible.
Great vid, very happy to see you capture some of the essence of Trinbago... and you've only scratched the surface. Also LOVE how you put in that we have a genuine kindness. However, "pipe could only take so much pressure". Meaning that everyone has limits and tourists should not take advantage of said kindness as trinis can flip that switch VERY quickly with DRASTIC outcomes *general disclaimer to any tourists thinking they're entitled to the fantasy island treatment*
Thanks! It was a pleasure to visit TT. We have a universal thought, lead with respect, be positive & be humble. Anywhere & everywhere ppl can flip if not being respected. Therefore, we gotta come connect with the diaspora & make the bridge strong
@@Profound_Travelz Nothing but love man! you guys really did have a good time and i'm happy to see it. Just making sure "the entitled people" don't get any ideas.
Thanks for watching! Well we went to our airbnb in Santa Ana inland first. Our airbnb host set us up with a driver. Now, the airport is super close to city center, so a taxi can take you directly there. Prolly 15min from city center. Once you're there, it's easy to walk around.
The origin of carnival came through slavery an East Indian people never really took part in carnival because East Indians from Hindustan they had their own culture, and it wasn't till I left Trinidad I noticed that the younger generation of East Indian descent started intermingling in da festivities which we call carnival and the descendants of slaves through slavery created The festivities off carnival ,an all the good stuff that comes with da festivities, That's why most of the a Afro melanated caribbean countries Even Brazil where there has a huge Afro community off descendants of slaves they resonate with carnival . Carnival is a afro Caribbean South American and also replicated throughout the United States England Holland and other places.
Correction afro Trinidadian gained emancipation almost 200 years ago but the nation of Trinidad became independent 60 years ago. In addition most indentured laborers did not receive land
@@jabaltariq4606They worked to pay off their passage to get there. However, they were usually illiterate and didn’t understand the contracts and were forced to work for free in perpetuity.
Trinidad is considered the city's museum, both for the number and variety of attractions, as well as for the preservation of historical facades. The city's life revolves around Plaza Mayor, .
@@Profound_TravelzI am glad you said that. Because Trini’s. Who never travel outside of Trinidad. And even some that lives abroad. I live in the US. And in my city. It’s out of hand. Even our commissioner of police. Just walk of the job! It’s scary in cities in the US.
@brownsugar2271 exactly fam! I live in LA and it's been a semi-lawless place for years. Corruption at the highest level. The LA county sherrifs have gangs within their ranks since the 1950a
That may well be true but its done all over the world where governments put currency restrictions on the citizen but someway some how certain people--especially in government-always seem to have as much as they want
wish you had edited that intro Although you made many mistakes because T&T is a level 3 by US Travelers Advisory that's says travel with caution or avoid travelling same as Jamaica, Bahamas and many other countries and US states Level 4 not to travel are countries like Haiti,Syria, and others I ended the video by just watching intro because carefully consideration must be administered not saying I think only contributes to the negative assumptions narrative Trinidad is dangerous
I mentioned that in the beginning of the video but the state department is not always reliable about the warnings. I use to live in Costa Rica, and the capital city is one of the most dangerous places I've ever spent time in, but the state department didn't reflect that because of all the western tourism there. If a country is not at war or violent conflict with other nations, then I consider going anyways
ok I got you will watch the whole video now lol,but seriously Ecuador is a big surprise to me the gangs violence happening there now is shocking knowing its were the most peaceful country in South America also I really feel for Haiti at the moment T&T have it issues especially crime, murder and gang violence which for some strange reasons after the Pandemic many population seems to have increased violence and criminality usually a beautiful place I'm not judgement of no country because many societies has social issues what I am unaware of that I researched places to travel rather any travels advisory they never accurate or updated, didn't know San Jose was a violent city looks developed and relaxed
@paul-lq5nw it's sad, I been following Ecuador because I was plan on visiting. The protests in Machu Picchu, Medellin, Haiti, and I went to Cuba for a 3rd time this past summer and things were not good at all.
If you visit Trinidad, you can't miss a trip to Topes de Collantes National Park. Fifty percent of its native species live in these mountains that are part of the Sierra del Escambray. With views of wildlife, tropical vegetation and rock formations coming together is an environment that will leave you speechless
Just got back from visiting both islands and took a friend who visited for the first time. I recommend flying to Tobago. It’s only 20 minutes away by plane and inexpensive. This way you have more time to enjoy The Paradise that is Tobago. We did Pigeon Point and Buccoo Reef/Nylon Pool is a MUST! It’s my favorite place in the world!! Also check out the tour of the Waterfalls. We did Speyside as well. I rented a car and drove around because I’ve been coming to Tobago most of my life, but I recommend getting a driver if you’re going for the first time so they can show you around.
Happy you enjoyed your stay! Trini living in Saint Lucia and Jounen Creole celebrations are in October. Best time to come! Returning to T&T for CARNIVAL is a must.
Next time all yuh come Tobago you ha to go to the countryside, Argyle Waterfall, Main Ridge Forest Reserve, King's Bay, Delaford, Little Tobago, Speyside Reef, Charlotteville, Castara, Englishman's Bay, Parlatuvier Waterfall and more
Already clarified that in the subtitles, along with several others saying the same thing in the comments. It amazes me that in a 24 min vid that so many ppl are choosing to cherry pick one error instead of being happy that someone highlighted TT in a positive way. Keep up the good criticism 😆
@@Profound_Travelzthat's a part of Trinidadian culture as a trini I loathe! People don't read and quick to make comments and nitpick at anything no matter how good something is. You did an amazing job, thank you for capturing the essence of what our island has to offer! ❤ please come again in carnival 🎉🎉🎉
Not at all... depends on your energy and lead yourself with ppl for the most part. I always lead with respect, and I'm assertive only if I have to be. Many of the locals were simply educated about the history of colonialism in their country. Maybe that scares some white ppl, but I didn't notice any true ill will
