I imagine Kate (Jemma Redgrave) and UNIT (and maybe Torchwood in some form) will return on a regular basis under Davies. Having Ingrid Oliver and Eve Miles back would be nice as well. And, of course, William Russell's now-classic line at the end.

The Brigadier met the 8th Doctor in an audio drama from Big Finish (Minuet in Hell). Not the best story from Big Finish, but I loved hearing 8 and the Brig interacting.

She should have been her own character because so far in new who, none of Unit have felt like actual characters. Kate is the just "the Brigadiers daughter". (Osgood is an unnecessary fan insert. I don't even remember anyone outside of them.) I miss when we had well acted fun UNIT characters from the 70's. Whoever plays Kate, her acting is pretty wooden ngl. I just hope RTD can make something of her.
