I’m slowly working up the courage to build my first large scale sign. I’ve been trying to perfect my acid etching to make simple name plates. Your video helped a lot on that

Love it, fun fact, although that plant is technically a cactus, that specific type of cactus is most commonly known as Saguaro, and it's almost exclusively found in the northernmost areas of the Sonora desert and its American counterpart, the Arizona desert, and they're amazing to look at.

Somebody once told me that Dr. Pepper was their "favorite kind of Coke," and that was the most Texas thing I had ever hear of... Until I saw a neon Christmas cactus.

I was interested to know if you outsource or make your own neon tubes….and then I’d be interested in learning more about how you learned how to do your own neon.

A little late to your page, but can’t get enough of these, plus you’re not far away. Haha. I’m in Fort Worth. When you got started doing these, did you just hand draw your layouts, or have them printed somewhere on a large format printer?

I know it’s an older video but what drill bit is that you are using? Going to get some Cleco’s soon and that would be the ticket for my project. Thanks and keep up the fantastic work!

What video editing software do you use. The Graphics in your videos are great, especially the call outs with the dotted lines! Well, and the video content itself is always incredible as well!

this video is great! I can't believe it only has a couple hundred views. not to tell you what to do, but you should edit into the title "working with sheet metal" or something because you have some cool techniques and homemade tools in this....should get a bunch more views I think

Great video. I really enjoy your work. Have a question you use a set of 10 snips that take a v-chunk out of the work can I ask you the brand name and what they're possibly called? I've looked all over for them and can't seem to find anything like it. Keep up the amazing work it's definitely worth a like and share

Hey excelent protect, greetings from Argentina! (Excuse my english please). Why you use that pins, you first drill all and put that pins, and after all you put the rivets. Why you dont rivet all at the same time? Thanks and kepp the awesome work!

Hi, thanks! The pins are called clecos. There are several reasons for using them. First, I can't rivet the aluminum pieces right away because they're still on the wood form. I can't remove the form if I rivet the pieces to it. Second, some pieces get in the way of other pieces. Sometimes, I need to move pieces to get the drill where I need it or to perform other operations before riveting everything together. Last, it's faster than switching back and forth between the drill and the rivet gun. I don't need to use a cleco in every hole. Thanks for the question!

Hey, what thickness sheet metal are you using? Great project!

I noticed you using a Shopsmith in drill press mode. Do you use the Shopsmith a lot?
@WesleyTreat
@WesleyTreat 7 лет назад
I like it as a drill press because I can dial in the speed however I want. The same with the disc sander. It's good for boring, too, and the bandsaw attachment I have is not bad. As a table saw, though, I find it to be an awkward and dangerous machine that takes forever to get square.

Yes, the self-satisfaction of selling them for a nice profit. This one took less than a week to sell. I literally make my living doing this, man.
