Hi Danni have you ever thought of using your mudroom for extra items you need extra household items stored in a cabinet that way you have it and when you run out of that item you have a extra one and also using it for your coats shoes etc making a coat hook for each person a basket for gloves,scarves etc on top and a place for shoes to go in backpacks etc great video Danni have a great week ❤

I enjoyed watching while I folded laundry, loaded the washer, did dishes and light housework.

▫️Many years ago I reduced my make-up down to items that fit in a makeup bag. I store it in the bottom bathroom drawer. I stick with a neutral palette. And, now - I rarely wear make-up. Make-up: 1 face powder (no liquid foundation), 2 eye liners, 1 eye shadow duo, 1mascara, 1blush, 1 lipstick, 1 brow brush, eyelash curler, tweezers. It took a few declutter rounds to get it down to this amount. Now, I only keep the items I actually use. I may need to add something to cover age spots starting to appear. 🫤 ▫️I used to buy the Bath & Body Works hand soaps once a year. Now - I buy one from the grocery store and keep 1 back-up in my linen closet. ▫️For the kitchen… it might help if you sat down and mapped it on paper. That’s what I did. Think zones: Cooking Zone, Food Prep, Cleaning Zone, etc.

Yeah, Dani, my favorite person! Another great video! I put all the makeup I use in a makeup bag and no where else. Then when I use it I bring it to my table with my makeup mirror and put it on there. A little suggestion on putting on lashes is to take a toothpick and apply the glue to the toothpick tip and spread it on the lash you are going to apply. You don’t waste glue and you can control it. I used to wear lashes when I was younger. Loved them! I love candles too. I don’t have as many as you do. I decluttered them because all I was doing was storing them instead of using them. I gifted them to my family. I love watching your videos! Your friend! Hugs!🥰👍💜

Danni, you are a hoot! 😂 My make up drawer consist of my old iPhone boxes. One for eyes, one for concealer, one for lips and one for other make up stuff. My different powders and stuff get tucked in around the boxes. I have a magnetic case for my eyeshadow collections and that has to get tucked in some other drawer because my vanity is on the smaller side.

I hear you about wanting extra essentials. What I’ve been doing is seeing how much items like toothpaste or toilet paper that my husband and I use in 6 months and only let me keep that much. That was I have extras in case of emergencies, but I don’t have an excess.

Complete thumbs up for the "elevator music" song joke. For my shadow palettes and some cream/oil stuff, I put up some Ikea spice shelves. They're only $5 and you can paint them however you'd like. You could put them beside your mirror in your room and they hold lots of stuff. Put your brushes in a jar halfway filled with florist bead/glass. That way you can stab them handle down into one of your favorite glass jars and it turns into a brush bouquet. Both the shelves and jar would give your boundaries, as they are small and have "rails" to keep things from falling out. You have a cheese container. We have a full on cheese drawer. We have different boundaries, LOL. If that soap swan was in my shower, it would NOT last long. Soap, soapy hands, wet shower....RIP Swany Bird. I'd end up dropping that poor thing. All hail the original box! When a room is clean and perfect, it makes me uncomfortable. A skin crawling feeling. I think it's because it creates so much pressure for me to keep it that way. If a single thing is out of place, it's messed up. A little planned imperfection takes away the pressure. A place I can "throw things" helps my brain. Unfortunately, I've let that get out of hand recently. Oh well, lol! You did a great job and the place looks fantastic!!!

I use the windscreen wash you put in the car on my windows and mirrors also if you put a bit of essential oil on your lightbulbs it makes the house smell as the lightbulb gets hot ❤❤

Im curious about the 23 and me. As far as the make up, i don't wear it anymore. I used to, but after a while i stopped wearing it and dont miss it at all. The story about your car and the key (metal bar) getting stuck is very interesting as you said you gad to call your insurance to het a locksmith out there to help you. Believe it or not, that is what my husband does now!!! He is now an independent contractor and works as an automotive rescue. He loves it. In minimalism you just have to figure out your boundary and how you want to set things up. Its all trial and error. I laughed so hard when you said tiy wete going to play the elevator music for a sec then stopped then went back to it again. Awesome video!!! Can't wait to see your mom again!!

I have 1 kinda deep drawer I keep makeup in. I keep my main items I use everyday in my makeup bag. The rest of my items I keep in two other cases. That way nothing is bouncing around and nothing gets lost

You worked your buns off! As do all home makers. Organizing is definitely an ongoing venture. As you and your family change, so does how you do it! And often we think something will work, but then in the day to day rush-it don’t.😂 we all are guilty of just dropping stuff as we go instead of neatly replacing it. I recently had a less traumatic but annoying trip to the gas station to get gas for the mower. I got there, all happy and carefree-and I couldn’t get the flipping gas can open. The nice young lady in the station tried. I looked around and we both said: we need a man!😂 Luckily one she knew walked by and opened it.🙄🤨So annoying when you can’t do things yourself. I love your long chatty videos, i play them while i clean and it feels like i have someone with me in the house cleaning. For me definitely not $1000 on cosmetics... unless we counting, shampoo, conditioner soap, etc. On actual make-up maybe 100 every 4 years at most lmao 😂

I love your videos and you actually talked me into decluttering my sofatable in my living room. Sometimes I just listen to your chatter, it's like having a friend over that you can put on mute if she talks to much 😅. I don't like the music and this is part of why I enjoy your videos so much as you don't play a lot of annoying music, allthough I had to put it on mute when you did, but I always put on subtitles so I can put the sound on in the right spot and don't miss out on anything as I would hate to miss out. (I know I can go back, but that's annoying too). I just love how you're like me bouncing all over the place and be like "oh I have to declutter there to get this thing in" totally forgetting what you actually was doing, but as long as it gets done no one can tell, exept you're filming it though, but I enjoy it, it's motivating for me, and now I kind of want to be a minimalist, but not in the definition in the wikipedia kind of way, just a moderate one like you. I still want to keep my craftroom and the millions of bits and pieces in there (I'm a cardmaker/ colourist/scrapbooker/boxmaker.) I enjoy my craftroom so much, exept now it looks like a hot mess as I tried to find something and couldn't find it and I got a back ache while doing the digging so it has sat there since and my back still hurts so I will have to see a doctor if it doesn't go away by Monday. I still need to declutter in my craftroom and pretty much everywhere else, but I already did a number of times, exept it doesn't look like anything is missing. My goal is to just be able to clean my apartment cleaning up for hours befor the cleaning can be done. I'm just a messy person, fortunately it's just me here though so it doesn't bother anyone else but myself. Now I need keep on with clearing the table and the floor, it's not a lot, just some cat toys and stuff that I don't want to get into my vacuum. 😊

Lol I just HAD to share. Last year I was going thru stuff in a bin and found Christmas lights that were my mom's. They were in the original box and she had written the date and where she had bought them...BTW the lights were from 1987 and still worked!

As a minimalist this is your journey no minimalist is the same there isn't a written statement where it says each minimalist has to be the same its about you and what you enjoy like for example for me I love stickers I don't need they arent essentially they can be wasteful (I'm in my low waste journey) but I still have them become I love them you don't need to deprive yourself from stuff you love just because it isn't the "norm"

Have you ever done the clutterbug quiz?!??? I did it for me and my family 4 years ago and it literally changes your life!! Once you know how you deal with clutter then you can’t know what works and what won’t. I’m a hidden macro organizer and my family is the exact opposite, so for my things I can organize into small categories but if it’s anything communal it has to be easy to get to and easy to put away .😅

Okay live commenting here False lashes - start with half lashes at the end corner and give the glue about 34 seconds to get tacky - like caulking Not all glue is the same, you need a glue with a brush applicator. Tweezers help with thw pplication . Use miceller water to remove
