Quality matters especially when it comes to signal strength. A better signal can give you better speed, reliability and lower latency. This antenna is one of the best products I have ever tested.

i've got one of these sitting in my attic! getting 200-250 on tmobile n71, a long ways away from the nearest tower. I'll have to move it outside soon, but that means the gateway goes into the attic. it's doing great, I love it.

Wow! That's some good throughput from n71. Good to know that 600MHz can push that hard from that far way.

@@PeterC408 I haven't, right now I'm only running the t-mobile service for a cottage, since I've got frontier 2G/2G symmetric now. I started to hit 4-500 on tmobile before i switched though, so I assume that's what the cottage is getting. I did get my antenna mounted outside with 30 feet of LMR400 extender cable (per line) between the modem and the 4x4 mimo SMA cable that it came with. T-mobile going to a ubiquity system in the cottage, I haven't heard any complaints so it seems to be good. Tmobile uptime is better than frontier so I also use it as a backup but I haven't needed it for much.

Most people forget to wrap the connections with weather-resistant tape. That allows corrosion to build up and increase the resistance and signal.

It is a good point and something that only takes a moment to do. No use spending this much money on an antenna and not protecting it so that it will function at full speed year after year.

Your Download loaded Latency ( 80ms Ping ) is great ( second speed test ). I am jealous seeing that 80ms loaded latency on your download, My Idle is always pretty good but Idle latency is not very important the LOADED latency numbers are. 80ms download loaded latency is almost in DSL range ( 10-70ms ), now we need to figure out how to get the Upload loaded latency to under 100ms.

Just ordered this same antenna. I live probably about 2000 feet from the nearest antenna which has the n41 band/freq. I am hoping to improve my latency time with this antenna. I normally get 47-54 ping on speedtest so I am hoping to see down in the 20s like you!
@PeterC408
@PeterC408 3 месяца назад
Latency is the responsiveness of the network. Sometimes a better signal can improve latency but that part is not guaranteed. It all depends on your backhaul (the connection in your tower has to the network). I'm interested to know your findings and if actually the latency drops. What kind of signals were you getting before RSRQ RSRP, SiNR?

Well, at least I got my Peplink Max BR1 Pro 5G and in combination with the Poynting XPOL-24 antenna the maths got respected and I exactly doubled my speeds I had before with the Netgear Nighthawk M6 Pro in combination with an Poynting XPOL-2-5G, and this latter combination also doubled my speeds from an ASUS 4G-AC86U with a single external antenna. All this with having an Swisscom 5G cell in direct view at 5 km !

Excellent video even for a non techie like me, my question is: Does upgrading from mimo 2x2 to mimo 4x4 double the download speed??
@PeterC408
@PeterC408 Год назад
Great question and I will lead off the answer with one that you will hear over and over again when it comes to radio reception, "It depends". That can be a frustrating answer but imagine if we were talking about vision; would changing your glasses prescription to a stronger one help you see better... it depends. Personally, I got the greatest growth from adding a single 2x2 mimo antenna outside. I then added another 2x2 mimo. Almost everyone agrees that two 2x2 mimos correctly installed should be as good or better than a 4x4 mimo. So, what bands are you getting and what are your SiNR, RSRP and RSRQ numbers. Here is a video that will help you get those numbers and understand if growth is possible. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4E7ogM9AVSY.html

Peter as always thank you for the good video. I am using the MOFI5500-EM9191, this is an upgrade from the 4500 which only had 2 antenna ports. I am using the Poynting 2x2 XPOL-2 5G antenna along with 2 stock antennas. I live on the 2nd floor of a condo and have the Mofi and the antenna mounted in the attic above my unit. I can't mount the antenna outside. The Mofi has exceptionally strong Wifi and works well for our condo mounted in the attic. I like the looks of the Waveform 4x4 MIMO panel. My question for you is, do you think the antenna leads are long enough to attach directly to the MOFI5500 without the additional cable. Since both are mounted in the attic I can mount the antenna and Waveform 4x4 panel next to each other.

Great video. I just purchased a Chester Cheetah and currently have a Waveform 2x2 Flat Panel. Would you recommend just getting another Waveform 2x2 and space them apart for a 4x4 setup or would you start over with the 4x4 flat panel from Waveform? How will signal strength, etc compare between the two? I'm in a wooded area about 1.5 miles from the tower. Thanks

How long is your cable from Antenna to your T-Mobile Modem. I'm noticing that middle number 55.. Very low which is very good for noise and the one of the right also.. I'll be getting my WaveForm QuadPro next week, hoping I'll get as good as what you have here.. My tower is 3.5 miles with lots of trees and hills between me and there.. At the moment I'm getting Down 20-120 avg 40-60Mb/s with bad Uplink .6-.600 avg. .300. I hoping to get my Uplink over 30Mb/s.. but I'd take those 80Mb/s..

I know "it's like asking would eyeglasses help me", and I would never hold you to it, but do you think this antenna would give me a significant boost?

Need basic advice please. I want a good balance between range - speed- cost monthly. Don't mind paying around 500 for hardware as long as the install is not to complicated. Most youtubers seem to go with t-moble home internet gateway or some kind of MIMO router like Pepwave. And they never seem to compare the range of one vs the other. In real world test. As someone that will be spending time in the one to none bar range and would love High speed but would be happy with enough bandwidth to watch Netflix. what hardware would you recommend?

Peter, we just got T-Mobile 5g in our area. They gave me the Arcadyan KVD21 . I was planning on buying the Yeacomm AX3600 that you posted on one of your earlier videos. Do you not use that model any longer? I see that you connected this antenna to your T-Mobile model. I would like to purchase this antenna but I'm not sure what the cable order would be for my T-mobile router. Any ideas?
@PeterC408
@PeterC408 Год назад
It all depends on your area, the signals you are getting and what you will need to do to get a better signal. The Yeacomm is he best solution for many people that need to reach outside, go up high; purchasing antenna cables over 30 feet is very expensive relative to Ethernet cable. I have 4 active modems now and still am using it as one of them. The antenna kit is great because it comes with a 30' cable and the ipex cables needed to alter the T-Mobile router Waveform 4x4 MIMO KIT amzn.to/3s9i9SY My review of the Waveform 4x4 antenna ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-a72fwKACD9E.html

I see this and am interested to see what people say. Do you often have lightning strikes? Where I live in California, no one I know has ever lost anything due to a lighting strike (or to rain for that matter), we have a 3000ft mountain to our weather side that causes cloud stacking. I would think if you have a lighting rod near by, you should be good to go but.... that would be like me giving prenatal advice, I am way out of my element.
