Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Waveform has added an earth ground, changed the cable and included a new window passthrough cable.

Peter you are the best I just need to beg my parents to get a antenna!

Best of luck on your convincing them. Check out his antenna from the same company ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lyI8qS_LhLA.html it is less expensive but it can also work indoors. It is omni-directional so you could try it out indoors and then move it outside at a later date (after they have become believers). I just mention this one because it is less expensive and tested very well and if you have an HOA (home owners association) this gets rid of that objection.

I like their new Window cable solution. It’s still not on the website stand-alone though, you gotta ask them for a quote. 60 bucks was steep for just that part alone but it gets the job done of not drilling.

IT is a cool part but, agreed, $60 is kind of steep.

I know this is not really about this video, really like your videos by the way. But looking for the video you did about lower your ping by using a Dynalink AX3600 router and adjusting the packet size. Can you give me a link, or do you have a suggestion for a good router that does that well?

Like any programmable system, there's firmware that speaks to the hardware. My guess is that the firmware would not know how to properly speak to the hardware and it wouldn't work but even if it did, you just stepped into a unsupported situation where neither party is willing to help you. It get's messy.

Huge Difference. We are separated by an 1800ft mountain. TV/3G/4G/5G signals hate that.

Hi. Nice video! Just some constructive feedback since I can tell you really care about the video quality. So, this is not a complaint or me trying to be a besserwisser, just me hoping that I can help out with my years of experience as a TV producer who stumbled onto your channel. 1. It looks like your camera lighting for the green screen setup has multiple color temperatures or that you have direct/indirect sun light. This give you very unnatural skin colors. Either block some of the sun light on or see if you can set your lights to a higher color temperature (5600+)to match the sun light. 2. When you show of the features on the device, it makes little sense to still be in a small pip (picture in picture). If I'd been you I'd switch to a full screen video or you holding up the device with a neutral background. 3. When showing small parts, like the ground cable, it would be nice if you had some "b-roll" shots of it that you could cut to in editing. Since you edit these videos anyway, having a close up video recorded with your phone would add a lot to the perceived overall quality and make it easier to understand. 4. While yo on the roof, I assume you used a built in camera microphone? Audio quality is always more important than video.. Which is boring, because video is more fun. But if you could have something like the Rode Go 2 or the DJI wireless kit I believe it would really increase your audio quality and also the surrounding environment/airplanes would not be as noticeable. Hope you found some of my tips useful, keep up the great work! //Ludvig from Qruxel Productions

Thanks. I am always up for learning something new but I think the problem is not natural light but the light I have in my face is a different color temperature than the ones illuminating the background. Also the background is too close. Perfection is nice but there needs to be a balance of productivity and professionalism.

NEC standards? I just made a new standard call the PMC Standard and it says the cable has to be RED. Lol. It's a ground strap. I can buy an assault rifle and put it on my credit card, yet I am supposed to go to the city and county to register my bee hives. This place is just stupid.

What I’m curious of is if I get this antenna, does it generally improve RSRP for 5G? I normally get 200+down and 30-60down but my 5G RSRP is usually -90 to -96.
@PeterC408
@PeterC408 3 месяца назад
This is hard to say. If you do not currently have an outdoor antenna the answer is most probably (definitely) YES! but it is impossible to answer this with 100% certainty but the signals are outdoors and getting an antenna outside definitely helps the RSRP but even more important is it will help out your SiNR! This will (should) make you scores jump. There is always the question of backhaul (that is how fast your tower actually is). The fact that your are not getting a RSRP of

Did anyone ever figure out if two 2x2 mimo or one 4x4 mimo is better? I'm about to do vanlife and want the best i can get , going to mount it on top the van, I was thinking two 2x2 mimo of the soup can looking ones on each side of the back of the van or two of the ones that are 26'' tall or one of the dome looking ones 4x4 mimo with gps and 2x2 wifi , idk ,, or the one from this video mainly worried about great signal and speed on the highways all over the usa for my son that is a heavy internet user for gaming and vids while i drive.
@PeterC408
@PeterC408 2 месяца назад
It is a great question. This is a situation where the more that you know about a given subject, the more you realize that you know nothing. Two 2x2 MIMO antennas should provide more differential between the signals if the antennas run split paired (meaning split the pairs among the antennas). I think that lower frequencies would benefit better from the greater diversity difference but not too far. It depends on the signal you are trying to capture. If it is n71 we are talking about 600MHz. I would love to try this out and would love to hear if someone has more data on this.

What are your speeds without the satelites?
@PeterC408
@PeterC408 3 месяца назад
I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean the satellite WiFi stations? They do not affect my speeds. In general an antenna will improve your signal (RSRP, RSRQ, and SiNR scores). These will usually increase your performance but only to the level that your area can support. If you are in a rural location and already getting good signal, perhaps you are only getting 100Mbps because that is all your local tower can provide because it is getting service from a microwave connection to another tower.

Does this work for other services like At&t?
@PeterC408

Sure, it's a universal antenna. It is tuned for anything between 600MHz and 6GHz (6000MHz). Perfect for Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T home Internet frequencies.

If you have a metal roof, going outside to get the signal using an antenna is a good idea. Here is a new one that is omni-directional. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lyI8qS_LhLA.html
