Hey! Hope you all had a super Diwali! And wish you and your families lots of happiness in the year to come. 1) Those that have taken the time to comment here - and share their disappointment/anger/doubts - thank you! It means a lot to us that you are still willing to clarify things and talk to us. 2. I will try to respond to as many queries as I can. As you would have noticed - lots to respond to. So, if I haven’t/don’t - sorry! A lot of my Diwali week was spent here! 😁 3. I stand by what I said - Nexon is a great package. But, we can’t recommend it without hesitation for now. But, if it’s the one that floats your boat - go ahead - our job was to share our experience. We have. The call and money is yours. 4. Sorry to hear people say that they have lost faith/trust in ZW. Over one disagreement? Couldn’t have been trust then. Nonetheless we are grateful for your time with us and hope you will check us out some time again. 5. Kartikeya Singhee The review is not biased for sure.I agree with Kartikeya sir.Nexon is an impressive Package but it still needs more time to improve on its niggles whereas Brezza is been there for long time thus a proven product with a suzuki badge helps it .however the hungry nexon will definitely eat into the sales of brezza with ease.

Good comparison Karthik, one thing what Nexon will do is push Maruti in improving further, what most people don't understand here is if Maruti is a market leader that means they r doing most of the things rite.... And to achieve a remarkable fuel efficiency from a decade old engine does require a lot of effort and knowledge. It's Maruti started to give safety pack as option from base variants.

Totally one sided comparison...TATA quality and finish is much better than Maruti... it's only TATA which is bringing more safety in their cars... allowing other companies to install in their cars too, which are selling unsafe cars...and bro TATA Nexon diesel engine is best in this segment.

I would definitely prefer 110kg more weight of the nexon than a peppy engine of brezza... I am not going to do races... I want better bulid quality and that's where tata shines. This company donates 60% of their profits, recently this company donated about 1000crores to cancer patients. We should support such companies and try to buy their products and become part of their good deeds. Tata currently is trying very hard to give us what other manufacturers only provide in their luxury vehicles at an affordable price we should encourage them. I am going to buy tata tiago soon only because its tata...and the way they are working hard ensures me for a better experience...!!

Crazy person Though Tata is trying hard but why should invest our money on their bad products . Though Tata has improved a lot from before but still they cannot compete with Suzuki . They don't have the technology that Suzuki has . Tata is not even the dust of Suzuki's foot . Though they are making good products but their products still cannot compete with foreign product's . Tata don't know only to make cars , they are best suited to make food products like Tea , Sugar , Salt , etc. That's why people don't buy Tata cars much only mental person like you will only buy . But intelligent people will never buy Tata cars . That's why Suzuki products just sell the double of Tata cars .

disagree, I have three tata cars, no issues at all, service keeps calling if there is any, Noway that fiat engine 200 nm torque can beat the revotorq 260 nm torque in the highway, if maruti Suzuki starts making buses, they will put that age old 1.3 litre fiat engine in all of them, infact in all of its diesel cars, so Indians beware! brezza is just another deceived product from maruti, there's nothing special about MS cars, its just good and costly servicing, so overall my money is on the nexon

sorry to say but it looks like a biased review. you proudly say there are more practical storage spaces and show the cup holders on the brezza without even paying heed to show the umbrella holders on the Nexon's doors, under seat tray on the Nexon, the glove box that has slots for knick knacks on the Nexon, a segment first wearable key on the Nexon, segment first ceramic material used on the outsides, where are all these points zigwheels?? and if still people feel that this review is unbiased, God save you guys! Happy Diwali to Maruti Suzuki because an attempt to save their top selling compact SUV has been made with whole heart.

U guyz never ever mention about the build quality, which should come first... No matter how many airbags and abs are there....the safety of the passenger totally depends on the build quality....and No company can beat Tata in that.....coming to maruti...yes there vehicles are good but there focus is just on mileage... compromises on build quality a lot

Name one car which is niggle free?? even high end cars have multiple niggles that is the reason why manufacturers provide warranty in order to ensure that the cost involved for resolving those issues is absorbed by the manufacturer...to be very honest I personally use to like your reviews but after watching this one i am totally annoyed.The parameters on which you have recommended brezza over nexon does not carry that much of weightage...truly an unfair review or a paid publicity.Happy Diwali..

At 6:05, you just said the Brezza is wider than the Nexon and is therefore more spacious, which it FACTUALLY isn't. Brezza's width = 1790mm, Nexon's width = 1811mm. You contradicted yourself from earlier in the video. Also, regardless of how much more headroom the Brezza has in the rear compared to the Nexon, the Brezza's rear seat is just a flat bench with some cushioning. Objectively and subjectively, the Nexon is the better car to sit in. You said the Brezza has turbo lag and a torque deficit of 60 nm and then you go on to conclude that the Brezza is easier to drive on highways. Again, completely contradictory. I've driven the Nexon as well as multiple cars with Fiat's 1.3 MJD in both the VGT and fixed geometry turbo tunes and the newer generation Revotorq motor wins hands down in every single scenario from drivability to highway cruising manners. The eagerness to rev of a diesel engine is irrelevant (despite the Nexon not being bad in this regards), since the usable torque band is very narrow. Honestly, I stopped watching the video by the 12-minute mark as it was pretty evident that the Maruti Suzuki guys paid you for this and then told you "Make the Brezza look good, but don't make it too obvious.." since you have failed to mention a single thing about Nexon's external build quality, with which it stands shoulders above the lightly built Brezza. As for reliability issues, I'm pretty sure when the Brezza was launched two years ago, it had plenty of niggles too. I've been driving a Hexa for the past 6 months and we've subjected it to absolute carnage on some really broken roads and it has survived and ploughed on with flying colours, now 7500 kms and counting. Tata's unreliability woes are a thing of the past. Niggles during the initial production run have nothing to do with the long term reliability of a vehicle, and as a person in touch with the auto industry, you should know that. To anyone who had the patience to read this long comment and are trying to decide between the two cars, stop watching pointless paid RU-vid reviews and go to the respective dealerships and test drive the cars yourself. The better car wins then, and in this case, it is clearly the Nexon.

Roshan Vijay Hey Roshan, that's fine. You should decide as you see fit. The width aspect is because it's exterior width vs interior width (shoulder room). Again - it's extremely insulting to suggest we are getting paid to make something win. That's not how we work. Drivability is a lot more than just a torque figure. A car's weight and gearbox config also makes a difference. The Nexon was better, but the Brezza isn't undrivable either. Anyways, good to hear about your Hexa. And that's what I expect from Tata too. I have huge amount of respect for Kartikeya Singhee but i have to disagree on a few things. 1] The 6th cog in the Nexon is a huge boon on the highways and helps maintain higher speeds at relatively lower revs. This also helps in reducing NVH at higher speeds. Brezza's engine is very noisy at higher speeds and if you add to it the relatively poor cabin insulation the Nexon is a much much better place to be. 2] The Nexon has a flatter ride at higher speeds and is more composed which also helps in improving passenger comfort on the highways. 3] Even if we take exterior looks as subjective, Nexon has better ride, has better NVH, has much much better drivability, lighter clutch, is cheaper, has a more powerful engine, 6 speed gearbox, has more premium interiors and generally comes across as more aspirational. 4] I concur on the point that Tata has to work on reducing niggles and improves their sales and service experience but it is unfair on Nexon to be relegated as the looser just based on initial teething troubles. I am not saying these troubles are acceptable just that Tata have come up with a product by not short changing customers with a puny engine like Maruti has done with the 1.3l Multijet powering majority of their products.

Agreed the Nexon is superior! But, except for ride, in none of the other areas is the Brezza's performance "deal-breaker". The Nexon also lacks mechanical finesse - gear shift quality, clutch engagement, which won't go away. But what we experienced on the Nexon - the issues - are the reasons for our hesitation. Maverick Earth also, please don't automatically assume that 6th cog makes a vehicle better. The way the gearbox ratios have been chosen the Nexon's real advantage is city drivability.

Thanks for the responses. I really admire the way you are responding to individual queries which is heartening to see. Wish you a very happy Diwali too. My whole point was based on Nexon, on larger parameters like Engine, Gearbox-which may not be as sure slotting as Brezza's but an additional cog is always a big help especially in turbocharged diesel engines plagued by turbolag, Ride and high speed stability, looks more expensive than actually what it costs as you yourself have pointed out and feels more sturdier when i took the test drive. I am not saying the finesse in a product does not matter just that Nexon ticks the bigger boxes. Yes Tata have to improve their quality control but they have come a long long way from the Indica days. Give them a chance because they have not short changed customers unlike Maruti who have plonked the Fiat Sourced multijet which is getting too long in the tooth now in to majority of their products.

Kartikeya Singhee Have the Japanese learnt an iota about safety? Do they care about us Indian's life? Has any India specific Suzuki got 5 star rating in NCAP? Suzuki sells boxes and have sold generation old Technologies in their highest selling shit and do not care about evolving The Japanese still don't want to spend on engines despite having 50% share of Indian market You talk about gears shift and clutch engagement, let's talk about the ruggedness and suspension specifically customised for Indian roads. Tatas have learnt and heard and they will give us a better solution for these but Japanese have just heard the previous generation voice 'kitna deti hai', and have never shown any effort to show the concern to our lifes. But one thing is for sure, like Tata Trucks, these are the dependable workhorses for a never say die approach given the worst of roads. And if you were to actually value what is given in Brezza, against the value you can expect here for the money spent, I don't think Brezzas would be costing Suzuki more than 2-3 lacs, as neither they have the metal in it, nor have spent on the engine, neither any safety kits or luxury, just using a different body on same engines, its not value. It's just Peloing the customers. Neither the service, nor their parts are cheap. It's a myth. And to shun the myths, Tata has tied for 2nd position for Customer Satisfaction Index. And regarding defective pieces, I got the Brezza for the Test Drive whose Vanity Mirror was broken, it had noise of a truck and the external rear-view mirrors were not working. But you are so biased that you would still ignore these and be the blind bhakt of the Company which does not care at all about Indians and sell the products when they are stopped in other countries like the upcoming Jimmy.

All the points are right for being a passenger in a car. But an experienced driver who loves to drive wil chose the brezza over the Nexon. Brezza is just a little more practical and reliable.

Hi Karthikeya, great review!! You have explained every detail about both the cars. And as far the verdict goes, I respect your opinion and it's up to the individual to decide what he wants to buy. Brezza is the top selling mini SUV in India today. Around 13000 Brezza was sold in Sept against 9000 Creta. Does this mean Brezza is superior to Creta? Not at all!!! All these reviews help individuals make a decision and are not the only deciding factor! The extra money you pay for a Maruti is for the sheer peace of mind and the resale value you get when you sell a Maruti after 5 years against a Tata. Tata has definitely evolved as a great car maker with Zest, Tiago and other new models. If they can improve the initial niggles and the ASS, I am sure they have a winner in Nexon.

Sad that none of the reviewers talk about the safety aspects of a car which Maruti Suzuki lacks by a huge margin. Just try to open the door of Nexon and the Maruti and your will see the difference. Safety is the most important aspect that any car buyer should first look our for and as far as safety guess Maruti is a no-no. Why don't you reviewers give safety it s due?

Have you driven or used a brezza for a good amount of time? Yes Nexon build is superior than the brezza, but only by a slight margin. The brezza and scross are the only 2 cars in maruti which don't have the cheap build quality.

After watching the review, from the beginning itself i could feel the "oh poor baby" thing happening with the nexon, some fancy words coming in for brezza and so on, no doubt the review is detailed and talks practicality of usage, but still id say the direction, scripting is done so fantastically that one should not feel there is sort of biasedness towards brezza, but as a critic i felt it and surprisingly i do not own either one of them and neither have plans, i am a sedan guy and loves Honda as car maker.Tata here have definitely made maruti suzuki uncomfortable in their own house and in no time people can expect good discounts being offered with brezza and even baleno which one could've never thought may happen. i am a car enthusiast and have done couple of km with WRV, brezza, nexon and ofcos ecosports, and i felt brezza right in the bottom of the straight driving experience, lets talk on practical usage, people do maximum city driving in these subcompact cars and Ecosports, Nexon and even WRV feels better in city. the issues coming up with tata nexon are true but its not something which does not happens to a totally new cars and i strongly believe that TATA will definately fix those issues very soon as they do not want their bomb to go out without noise. last but not the least the pricing and tata kills competitors with that factor.

At least v have something very new and eye catching now in Nexon. I personally disnt like Brezza after having dezire and ritz driven with same engine. Loved the Nexon for almost every bit of it. Its a rich product compared to brezza

Unless Tata products are offered with 4 years warranty on engine, gearbox, fuel injection systems, suspensions, & electrical wiring harness do not buy them. My experience says you end up paying 2 times the price of the car in 5 years ownership on Servicing, replacement of parts, labour, etc. And above the frequency of trips to the service station. You will not have piece of mind after investing in Tata cars. Pathetic Service, interested in only replacement s of part one after another with diagnosing the problems & defects. Beware & safegauard your happiness of owning a Tata car.

Nexon better then brezza I have taken test ride today and this car is super cool with new tata techology..looks so fancy with special feature tata trying to improve Indian people life style with low cost efficacy prize. Must buy it..

By the importance of online car reviews that most people refer to, such negative publicity of nexon despite being a better product than brezza, is definitely going to hurt it. It is like reviews want to nitpick on small things while conveniently missing to mention the significant positive things. Only downside could be after sale service but one should give tata a chance on this especially when they are trying hard. After all they are 100% Indian company which has made us proud.

I should have gone for Tata Nexon because it has much powerful engine and more rugged body and about Maruti it is using same thin sheet of metal for body and the same 1248 cc engine that is used in swift by only increasing the bhp.

As i ridden two cars Brezza offer more mileage and has lots of service centers But in build quality Riding comfort Performance Boot space Infotainment Price The nexon scores I think zigwheels review is not good They made mistakes Tata nexon has rain sensing wiper Also tata offers more than maruti suzuki So if i would lay my money on then it's the nexon It's totally worth buying

Tata Nexon just nailed all other competitor in that segment.....Premium interior and build quality which we will get while driving we cant even compare with brezza... Top end XZ+ is on road price in kochi is just 10.60 lakhs only which is mind blowing.....Thanks to the engineers from Land Rover/Jaguar making Tata into a new phase in the India market. I feel pity for the people who still think like Tata is not up to the level.

boot is bigger on nexon but better on brezzza, nexon is wider but feels claustrophobic, brezzza lacks under thigh support in rear, ac blower and recline angle is too upright, but result? brezzza is better ride quality is bouncy in brezzza but still not worse than nexon brezzza has lesser power, lacks 6th gear, petrol isn't available the nexon does 100/120kmph at much lower Rpm and in gear acceleration is decades ahead compared to that of brezza but result? brezzza is a better highway cruiser, nexon has drive modes, cornering lamps but still that is not counted and brezzza wins it for the sake of ever confused automatic headlamps and wipers? nexon also has buttons to operate infotainment which makes it much easier to operate at triple digit speeds and couple that with brilliant audio but still just because brezzza's UI is bit faster so it wins? really? are you sure sir you are looking for a car and not a android powered superphone/tab? nexon has upmarket dash but don't know how on earth brezzza's dash look better than that of nexon? it's just pure cheap black plastic made to function and isn't pleasing to eyes at all, brezzza does not offer standard safety on all variants, brezza still costs more and will make you wait for much longer time to get the keys of it, nexon has bigger engine, bigger boot, is wider, has 1 more gear, offers the best infotainment system, also brings the minute joy of having drives modes in the car for masses, scores above brezza for having first in segment storage spaces, useful features like cornering lamps and ac blower foe rear passengers, is more higher off the ground and looks like nothing else in the market and is built much more solidly than brezzza but ladies and gentlemen the brezza wins. 😂 i don't know what should i believe? the speech? or the end result? coz they are hugely mismatched and it really feels bad that everyone is just pushing back tata even when they are trying harder than any other manufacturer available in our market? let them grow, i hope Indian journalism does not play a major part in the downfall/shut down of tata motors in upcoming years :( let them grow, they are making fine enough products to stay at atleast number 3/4 spot but everyone seems to be obsessed with 1kmpl and S Badge on the rear and front of car. And i am a maruti (baleno) owner but that does not bound me to go with the brezza when it has nothing better even in theory and papers. I'm sorry Kartikeya Sir.

Happy Diwali to you Karthikeyan. I have seen almost every review about Tata nexon and also driven it thrice to test. I personally feel Tata nexon is far better in many terms when compared to brezza. Brezza is old line design and nexon gives luxury feeling. Most important, its desiel engine is marginally better than brezza. Wats the point driving a car which doesn't feel premium from inside comparing to brezza. Also suspension of brezza or Baleno or other models are very hard . Overall I go with nexon for providing such nice combo at such a competitive price .

Karthikeya , are you saying Nexon will struggle to overtake on highways????? I found Nexon really gorgeous in city traffic that too in eco mode and ac on and friends onboard. With 260nm torque , are you saying Brezza willl beat Nexon on highway. Please remember Maruti dabba cars are made of cheap materials and catastropic accidents guranteed despite their safety feature. My friend there is no harm in appreciating Nexon

Karthikeya , when Brezza was launched in March 2016 -1.5 years ago it was too ,filled with faulty parts like headlamps , so we can avoid those nitpicks for the newer cars in production ! The fundamental things on Tata Nexon are far more superior to Brezza , you can't ignore that ! Engines ( Diesel & Petrol-not even available for Brezza ) 6speed GB , Suspension and the sweet pricing & styling !! So I have to stand with Nexon this time , sorry Maruti & Zigwheels ! I feel U are little closer to Breeza, analyse closely the Breeza but not the Nexon .Nexon is heavier than the breeza means it is much stronger. It has a bigger engine than the Breeza with much torque with multi drive modes. Airbag, ABS & EBD as standard, Harman infotainment, both seat arm rests, backside Ac vents, Multi drive modes, ground clearance, triple tone well finish dashboard, back seat comfort.As U analyse cruise control is a highly necessary part of drive that Breeza has.But pale in front of Xexon's features. Never tell the high price & less features factor that Breeza has. U analyse the boot accessing is much easier on Breeza but the Nexon has a bigger boot than Breeza. At every manner Nexon is the winner. Please provide reality. Breeza stand long back in front of Nexon's at price, build quality, features, comfort & style. Maruti is not at all a all time winner. It is time for TATA.

The challenge is service for Tata & even the skoda depends on the location and varies between service stations. Whereas Maruti has managed to pull it off nicely, across the country, their service stations are consistent..

Finally tata has delivered a complete package what really car lovers want. Perfect design. Eye catching interior and power. Really glad to see Tata is back in the race. ppl dnt bother with the reviewer he is just being paid by maruti to endorse the brand. It’s the buyers who wil decide and the sales chart will speak. I have seen this car on road n believe me it’s head turner something refreshing in this segment which we have been waiting for. This time tata has nailed it.👍🏻

You can't blame Kartikeya, he is just being responsible as a reviewer. He himself wholeheartedly admitted that the Nexon was a better car. The Nexon is a totally new design and as such will have its fair share of teething problems. These are small problems which will be fixed in time. Don't be disappointed Mohsin.

Out on the highway Nexon is more relaxed cruiser right? Due to that extra over driven 6th Gear to keep revs low. And in the city it definitely crushes Brezza. So overall nexon is more capable package imo. And for that niggles it will eventually solved. We always loved your reviews. But on every channel when there's comparisons between any brand vs. maruti...at the end Maruti always wins. Why?...... Some channel's reviews changes drastically especially for Tata when compared with their own reviews.

I've always watched every single reviews of Kartikeya with excitement from the days he was associated with other automotive forum. However I feel that he has erred on the judgement a bit this time around and would like to describe the areas where I felt things could've been better. When one gives importance to automatic wipers/light etc and simply ignores the most important build quality / safety across the variants, it certainly doesn't deserve any credits. Brezza can never be a complete car until Maruti places value to lives over FE. Let Suzuki proves it's crash-worthiness by publishing the actual crash ratings for the indian models. Keeping aside other notes, Nexon is certainly a competent product with extraordinary testing done across the landscapes with many lakhs km of road tests done. Niggles in new car is not a new thing and is common across the manufacturers & models. Even Brezza was no different when it was launched. However I agree that any company who is not doing perfect job in QC/QA aren't going to be lauded in spite of having a very competent product. To the end customer, these niggles could've been the deal breakers. You're calling a dated 1.3 diesel with the irritating turbo lag a fast highway cruiser than this new 1.5 diesel ? No words... I've been driving the same diesel albeit with FGT & less power/torque guise for the past 7 years and I know the potential of 90PS VGT engine as well. As you said, it is a pain in the city due to the lag but does relatively well on the highways. But that doesn't make this a racer in front of this new 1.5 engine with sheer power/torque figures. Based on my test drive, I can say that if one knows to work through the gears, we can easily extract better performance out of it. Brezza looks like a fast car not because of the engine that was plonked in it but for the feather-light build, i.e. read less weight. Let's agree to disagree and I'm not an auto journalist to pass on the judgement on you guys but would wish to get an impartial and unbiased reviews exhibiting the real characteristics of cars irrespective their maker's market dominance or volume of sales for the particular model in question. so many people have test driven nexon without finding any issues , even I have driven nexon and found fit and finish top notch at least much better the brezza. try taking brezza on broken roads it sounds like you seating in a big drum. in nexon 3 at rear should be comfortable. Don't agree with your review.

If there are so many people taking out time and showing their anger, just for once you can always think, are you sure that you are correct or just being adamant to win a debate, as running away from a logic based discussion will not take you too far. Maybe you can do a second, third, fourth, ..., tenth test drive till you are completely satisfied and either get the confidence to say that you are correct or just go back and say - Sorry. Correcting yourself will take you miles ahead of others. So don't call your genuine critics as trolling and escape the reality. When the car is new, everybody will like Nexon, but it won't stay new for ever. You will stop treating it like a baby and expects it to deliver. That is when Bressa starts shining. Fun to drive is good during test drive, but for the day to day use the increased fuel bill will hurt you. Also over time you will adapt to the Bressa's turbo lag, but not the Nexon's increased fuel consumption, poor reliability and higher service cost. That is the reason why Bressa is selling over 10000 units every month. Where as Nexon only sold around 2700 last month. I seriously doubt that sales number is going to increase four fold and steal the leadership from Bressa.

The Nexon has the better engine, is more premium and contemporary and has a 6 speed gear box. It rides better than rhe brezza. The only feature that brezza has and not the Nexon is cruise control. In all the rest the Nexon wins hands down and at a lesser price. All Maruti cars are lightweight and are guaranteed rattle traps as they age. You can get any amount of gizmos but engine and ride quality cannot be purchased aftermarket. The brezza however being a Maruti is the easy choice. But between making the right choice versus rhe easy choice Id go for the right choice. cheers

Happy Diwali Kartikeya Sir BTW I would like to say one thing Is cruise control really a useful feature in India in your opinion? IMHO it isn't.Also I have test driven both petrol and diesel nexon atleast 4 times.Never encountered even one of the shown niggles. Also you haven't mentioned corner stability control,isofix seat mounts,rear A/c vents of nexon.Also Brakes as well as the clutch in the nexon are far far superior to brezza.I took a test drive of brezza and hence I experienced it.One more thing legroom was an issue for me in brezza given my 6.05 feet frame but not in nexon.Also the high speed stability of nexon is just exceptional.For the price difference between the two,one can opt for Heads up display and tyre pressure monitoring system in nexon for just rs15000 which brezza isn't offering.

One last thing I have nothing against brezza I like it as an overall package but I don't like Maruti Suzuki India for not providing better built and premium cars barring S-Cross. I really liked Maruti Suzuki till 2010.But after that they started to make feather light tin cans.This is evident from one example:Maruti baleno(European model)-4 stars(with 6 airbags and other safety features) Tata zest-4 stars(2 airbags Indian model)

My friend's celerio gear box has gone bust. Maruti could not fix it. He waited for Ignis. But it's looks are atrocius. He went for brezza. To another friend, I strongly recommended Liva. But he went for Grand i10 as his family insisted on maruti or hyundai. That's the mindset of Indian car consumer. Their car universe does not exist beyond Maruthi/Hyundai. Indian consumer with his/her sheep like mentality will create a monopoly.

Bro, I've always admired and loved the way you present. Every presentation of your shows your passion towards Automobiles and i have been watching you from your Autocar days. One very special episode i cannot forget is the Review of Kawasaki Ninja 300, i believed in every single word you said coz you were so very fair with all the pros and cons. Regarding this review, I found it to be Biased towards Brezza (just my opinion, not blaming you or complaining about this being a paid review, coz i would still like to retain my faith in your presentations) as i feel Nexon is a much better value for money in every aspect compared to any compact Suv/crossovers present in the market. I've had 3 test drives (2 diesel & 1 petrol), the diesel cars had clocked 3.5k and 4.8k Kms on the odo and still had no faults, not even niggles as related to tata's history. Petrol had clocked just 1k and had no niggles either. While i know its too early to decide on longevity of the product, long term reliability and quality issues, initial impressions looks great and tata is on the right path. Have heard about revamping the after sales also. Have heard about reviews from Tiago and Hexa customers as well. Just giving you my experience. About TATA, I agree they had a questionable after sales and reliability issue with their products, have experienced my self with our Indica, but they've accepted the faults and are on the verge of changing their image for good. I believe you should give them some time and they need support and good will gesture on their effort from responsible public figures like you. And i don't think Maruti's is 100% fail proof either. I have known people who've had lots of issues with Maruti as well. I rarely comment on the web but, this ones because i still love the way you present and with lots of faith in Tata. which is rising from the dust again with great efforts and inspite of losses, struggles and internal battles. I have nothing against Maruti but a dire time to acknowledge a home grown company who is about to shine eventually. Good Luck and keep doing the great job as always. :)

Its surprising just because of the few niggles that the Nexon given to you appeared.. Brezza is the pick.. May be only your Nexon had these issues.. Advantage Nexon : Better styling, much premium interiors, comfortable seats in both rows, more luggage space, better performing diesel engine (overall), better city drivability (soaking up bumps), better high speed stability, extra gear, better nvh, better build quality, more safe, less price. Advantage Brezza : Mostly will be better fuel efficient than Nexon in real world, reliability, better fit and finish, 3 extra features, more service centres of Maruti. Nexon has all the fundamentals better than the Brezza with reliability being the only strong factor in favor of Brezza... Any ways Happy Diwali..!!

I believe you should just give pros and cons of each car and leave the verdict to viewers 🙂 I personally wouldn’t mind few small niggles which can be fixed easily. I have driven Brezza and it’s very painful to drive in city traffic with frequent gear shifts. Considering it’s doesn’t have an automatic, it’s not a good Choice for city commute. People are not buying it for it’s practicality but buying it because of compact suv craze and because it’s a maruti.

That's the thing with TATA's new launches. With Tiago and nexon assembly defects is high comparing to other cars.

sir very sorry to call u biased or paid for the comparison but the reality is glaringly striking and difference that you put are putting Brezza as a better then Nexon in a very crude way. Hope the coming months will speak up for the true winner. thank you for your efforts

Disagreed with your review.nexon is miles ahead compare to Maruti breeza and now a days tata is putting everything to compete with competation.nexon and Tiago and tigor and hexa.one by one they are capturing market share also.upcoming days are not easy for Japan indian alliance company Maruti Suzuki.complete indian company Tata is on the game now

I'm a Owner of May Manufactured Nexon XZ+ , I think most of Misses are just negligible when you're inside and driving except for the smaller Rear Window but that too also very similar to that if Jeep Compass, In All Ways Value for Money and Safety and Exciting to Drive

Only the price range are similar. Nexon is a 1.5 LTR, 110 bhp car with 6 gears and multiple drive modes. Interior, features, entertainment are way ahead. Please don't loss the value of Nexon by comparing it again and again with "Maruti" brezza. Please find a good opponent like S-cross or Eco-Sport.

Good Review, But one thing is Tata is changing in every aspect. Not all time Maruti has given the best Service. It has also may issue. Recentily I read news that maruti dealer cheat baleno custemer for serving, they just wash vehical and handover to customer. Past is Past we should look for Future for Good.

Nexon has much better build and a perfect 1.5 ltr engine as compared to brezzas 1.3 engine which they use right from swift to s cross. Nothing new. To make it feel punchier maruti has reduced car weight by 100 kgs as compared tp entire competition. Wonder how can it be a safer car on highways. It has stability issued.

New Tata cars are good but the taxi image of indica ,indigo and sumo are still haunting them . where is the cars with old idi engines ,example Fiat uno,palio,maruthi Zen and esteem diesel, accent dls, and still indica with idi engines runs everywhere also maintenance is cheap

I have test ridden Brezza, btw that was the last most terrible thing I had my hands on. With this product and Cheers to TATA, little bit of issues but they will fix it, Who doesn't have at start.

Maruti is already sensing threat from the Tatas .. it's clearly visible that brezza is being highlighted for things which are purely subjective. Looks, highway drivability, fuel efficiency (1kmpl Lol 😂), cabin space, boot space etc. If we observe closely based on these points, everything is actually better in the nexon. Superbly designed dash board, best in class music system, standard safety features, 6th gear for highway cruising, new age design elements, more power, more torque, previously tuned suspension, better built quality, higher ground clearance, bigger boot, wider cabin, cheaper pricing, standard abs ebd airbags .. what more is needed to just accept nexon is a better product ? And what about offroading capabilities ? Handling in rough roads ? NVH levels ? There are no demos of such things .. why ? Bcos brezza fails miserably in these departments. You don't want to show brezza scraping it's belly on the show 😂 Try comparing the dash from a BMW and the Nexon, you will spot a lot of similarity. How on earth brezza dash board is better than the nexon's ? In my opinion they shouldn't even be compared .. brezza looks like a school project dash in comparison to nexon. And you talk about the niggles .. lol 😂 The only cars without niggles may be 1CR + rupee vehicles where we pay ridiculous amounts just for the brand logos. Why cant we appreciate the fact that Tatas have made a stunning product here. Its clear the nexon gives the maruti's nanny car a run for its money. Please make fair comparisons and don't hide/highlight things to favour the market leader.

Hello Kartikeya Happy Diwali to you and your family. As always you have delivered a great review and I Enjoy every bit of it. Now about the cars I own both the Brezza and the Nexon and from my experience I enjoy Nexon more to drive maybe because it's new or maybe because of the 20 BHP of extra power. About the space in the car it's the Brezza who wins but it's the Nexon who provides better comfort. Interiors of the Brezza are so boring they make me feel sort of sleepy on longer journeys it's the Nexon who is more engaging and enjoyable to drive. About the niggles as far as I have driven both of them they are delivering just perfect. And I would recommend Nexon because after a week or two what we need is comfort and a little jazz in the interiors which makes every drive enjoyable.

Paid review? Lot of contencious stuff spoken here. Agreed Nexon is new...but the benefit of doubt has to be for the newcomer not the "proven workhorse". Also....3-4 vehicles that were given to ZW cannot be a parameter to decide Quality. We see many mercedes with tail lights not working. If we discuss about quality...we can go on and on. Just that one thing tilted the balance?

OK so you have given an outcome which has sown seeds of doubts in thousands of people who would have been considering the Nexon. Your distrust of TATA brand can be seen in your HEXA review too where you picked up tiny details like ill fitting central speaker cover and strange sounds from steering. Nice fodder for people who were contemplating buying a TATA. Thanks for your views the HEXA has sold 10000 cars by now and none of them are TAXIS!

Recently I took the test drive of both Tata Nexon and Brezza. There is a huge difference in the ride quality, Nexon being the clear winner. Interiors of Brezza looks old. For me Nexon was the clear winner.

Definitely a paid review by Zigwheel "AGAIN" !!!!!! Initially you said, nexon is wider than brezza, but later you said three people sit more comfortably in brezza. That was the point i got suspicious if it was a paid review or not.... and the way you shifted the opinion in favor of brezza my suspicions were all over and true. Dude, i have checked both the car and nexon can easily accomodate three more than 80kg people comfortably. If it comes to space on rear seat, it would be nexon >>> wrv >> s-cross > Brezza > Ecosports.

😂😂😂Maruti Suzuki these days is more Italian than Japanese, doubt it? Bring on a component by component list to compare. Still uses that (Outdated in EU) fiat engines just to please Italian Godmother's poodles. FIAT which was almost filled bankruptcy in 2000 now stands revived. Hurrah!
