I bought tata nexon, i took risk for chosing tata against maruti brezza & ecosport.... but after purchase now i can say it is the best choice. excellent car.

Tata is Indian company . If i had to put my money down i chose nexon. Make in india. Good job tata.

If ride is best, Handling also is best, & U don't need to shift gear so often, the obviously, NEXON is better choice. Reliability....?...Tata has improved a lot.

I have now done TD of both Ecosport and Nexon Automatic variants. I feel Nexon does equally well in most cases. By choosing Nexon, we get more value for money than the Ecosport!

In petrol its ecosport, performance and milage are better than nexon. In diesel story is different, ecosport was good but when you drive nexon its 260 nm torque and 110 bhp will pull you cleanly and world will rush behind you very quickly. Its amazzzing. Bought it. Nexon almost feels like 1.6 creta,seriously no problems while negotiating mountain slopes, highway it cruizes so well the 6th gear is a big advantage over ecosport as it saves fuel and it also allows nexon to reach higher speed than ecosport and that too with ease. Diesel nexon is also more refined and cabin is so quiet. Fit and finish are very good, you can hear a solid thump after closing the door. Built quality is so good that you recently might have read in a news that in a major accident a nexon owner and his family didn't even ger a scratch. Tata also sells its premium cars in name of jaguar and land rover and looks like engineers from jaguar helped tata create nexon. And those who want to buy ecosport i would say buy the dragon series petrol engine ,its awsome even AMT petrol is great and the ambient lighting feature is what i loved in ecosport. And please if you want to buy a car for 5 people never buy ecosport.

Tata has shown promise which makes every Indian proud but they need to match and hopefully lead their international counterpart (loved the fact that it actually was better at ride and handling) to make us get our worth of money spent. The niggles and missing practical bits make what the reviewer said "Ecosport is a better bet"

I little disappointed because the Titanium trip lacks reversing camera and few other features. There are people who want all the bells and whistles but a manual.

To those people ..who are comparing TATA NEXON with those chinese campanies like vivo and oppo ..remember before saying anything that TATA do owns LAND ROVER and JAGUAR..which tata have bought from ford only.....NEXON's exterior is all based on ONE OF land rover's theme and interior is based on jaguar's theme....there is not SENSE to campare the NEXON with indica.....indice was were launched in 2000...and nexon is been launched in SEP 2017..so..there is not camparison...TATA has been improved and one of the leading automobile companies in india....NEXON IS EXTREMELY COOL AND FUTURASTIC theme Based CAR.....camparatively to ecosport..i am not saying tata is better but ..these boyh car are equal...but tata is much cheaper..and its design is unique too...and its not about the brand...the resale value and the brand value is all depends on the car to car...and nexon is 100 worth buying car...also tata have some big plans for the future..tata is starting one racing motors car series..tamo....tata have been improved and do stand out from the rush..and remember Tata's safari CAR.....ITS NOT ABOUT THE BRAND ITS ABOUT THE CAR TO CAR...ecosport is successfull product ford and NEXON IS A TUFF campaditor for all the other mini suv's brands..specially for ecosports 2017 one....if i. What nexon is just 70000 cheaper than ecosport ?look at price of nexon starting 5.85 lac whereas ecosport 7.35 lac alsmost 1.46 lac difference

This a fantastic review. Very comprehensive and your opinions were very helpful. I personally went with the EcoSport and I'm very happy with it. Quite the surprise when I test drove it. Not the fastest ride on the street 0-60 in 10 sec in Sport Mode :/ but speed is not why I purchased it. And, it has LOTS of torque and smooth power throughout the shifting range. A very fun ride indeed. Oh, I'm also 46 so I chose the black on black 2018 2.0 4x4 with SyncConnect. Note: this is my first -New Car- purchase in over 15 years so I'm fool when it comes to the tech in these brand new models but I'm slowly learning. 9 years of coverage and the price was right after factory discounts and some negotiations. I will say, that Nexon does look sweet!

Nexon has far more Superior diesel engine compared to ecosport so Compare with diesel too ! Because both diesel and petrol units are all new in nexon. If you compared ecosport because it's petrol unit is new. Then you must compare with diesel equiped nexon too!

Tata is now giving jaguar n land Rover technologies in it's Indian cars too

I trusted internet fanboys and bought a Tata car, yes it is solid, but very unreliable, at just 4 months of use it is giving so many quality issues that I just want to sell it off. People comment Tata is made in India, Tata is the best, probably never bought one, they are probably fishing for likes. Ever seen such comments about M&M? That won't get them likes, hence it is never seen.

Dad was with Tata Steel for 40 years so you can understand my admiration for this brand, people, capability, processes etc. Yet, it really saddens me to see that there are Quality issues in Nexon. This is a powerhouse brand, they can hire best of talent, develop best of production lines, best of designs and even best of post sales service. They have been in this game for sometime now. So it is beyond excuse. I am not buying either but my heart is with Nexon.

Ecosports is not giving 6 airbags reverse parking camera in Titanium varient which is top varient in manual it means for these features we have to buy automatic varient means titanium+ whuch is really bad

And if i want to put my money between the two....it still wud be Tata Nexon

We have been witnessing the fact that diesel reviews are omnipresent and people looking for petrol finds it difficult to find expert's reviews for the same. Considering the narrow price difference between the two fuels, NGT regulations on diesel engine lifespan ( Delhi), upfront price difference between the two engines and ofcourse the govt. plans on shifting to electric engines; PETROL powertrains make more sense. Have been following your reviews for last 9-10 years. :)

My choices are:- Petrol: Ecosport Diesel: Nexon Petrol Automatic: Ecosport Diesel Automatic: Nexon (since Ecosport do not comes with Diesel Automatic)

Good review. TATA has come up long from its problems and it's the best competition for Ecosport. But as it was told it's the Ford that feels more and it's the car that gets into your heart more than being purely logical. Ecosport also becomes quite logical when comparing fuel efficiency services, consistent quality ( many times different people have told about the inconsistent experience from TATA cars , small niggles small problems, Cars age soon feels like an old car if high mileage is run in short time, gearbox clutch etc becomes hard and rough , services were also not good ) Its way much pricier than Nexon but the money spent will not be in vain after 5years , high mileage, Consistent quality, Consistent gearshift/clutch, good to very good services, time resistant design and composure that lets you feel that the car mimics one new even after a very long mileage... Ford ECOSPORT is better car of the two. But if high mileage is not a concern with , space , modern styling VFM is a concern Nexon is the one better than Brezza.

I am looking for a car under 10 Lakhs (on road price). So Nexon XZ+ petrol variant fits well in my budget but many people say that petrol variant isn't good. What are the major drawbacks in comparison with diesel variant? I'll be using mostly in city and state highway around 400 kms in month, once in a month on national highway around 200 kms. So monthly on an average 600 kms and one long trip in a year that would be around 2000 kms. So which one would you like to suggest?

I drove both the car and the only point where ford ecosport lags behind nexon, is rear seat comfort.. If you are ready to adjust, then nothing is better than ecosports.. it's worth putting those extra money for ford ecosport considering that this is tried and tested engine(Diesel). Whereas if you would like to buy a petrol engine.. I will go for Nexon considering it's power delivery is more like a diesel Nexon in city driving condition... You wont find any difference while driving in city condition... Also the price difference between Nexon Diesel and petrol is more (around 97,000) compare to that of Ford Ecosports petrol and diesel,(64,000). This is difference is Nexon Xz+ with Ford Ecosport titanium.

Rear back door open up is such a plus for nexon when you want to load things in back while parking. The door open sideways will hit cars or wall in tight spots.

Is it a good option to consider duster base model rather than paying around 11 lakhs for a 4 meter vehicle?

I have booked Tata nexon KRAZ(P) in 26th December 2018 By paying Rs.11000/- at Marina motors KozhikodeKerala.Also paid the first EMI to Bank.But unfortunately So far no response to the queries about the delivery of vehicle. The dealer is in dark. A complaints registered with tata customer care. They are also help less. When i asked for the specific date ASM says by 10th Feb 2019 will come to know whether this model build or not? ! Someone help.

Nexon is winner. Almost 80k cheaper on entry level Diesel variant. Premium interior, bigger tyre, great design and more power and torque comes with turbo charger. And an proud Made in India Product.

very straightforward conclusion-i test drive both recently as i m planing any one of them-my review not based on Indian & US company-it my own exp-if anyone want petrol close ur eyes go with ecosport-& diesel user go with nexon-but tata earlier diesel engines sample r infront of us like indica,-please check with those car owner how diesel perform after 3-4 yrs..eco sport diesel user is my home itself given me green signal undoubtedly u can go-but i m not aware abt tata diesel...better check before taking call.thats my option is...

When compared old nexon with ecosport,a slight edge was there for ecosport...but now,bs6 nexon beat it up completly with design....but the should give it a new meter console and media ui...

Nexon's main drawback is, it is a 3 cylinder engine. People always thinking 3 cylinder making noise in cabine while engine start..But many of other car makers using 3 cylinder..But nexons revotron engine one of the finest in this segment.
