Thank you for this recipe. I just made this week and came home from work today to find all 4 lbs are gone. My family, all 6 of them, loves this. They claim they were just test tasting and to give their opinion. However, no opinion have been contributed and all the products are gone. That in itself is an excellent opinion.

Lovely of you to ketoify beef jerky for your dad. Now I am going to get a dehydrator as my son loves anything beef!! ❤️ I also am very intrigued by your tortilla chip recipe…and I need to a dehydrator to make them. We appreciate your very creative solutions to elevate our keto eating experience. ( I am waiting for 1-years worth of sodium alginate and calcium lactate from modern pantry to satisfy my need for noodles!! I am sooo intrigued by your prawn chips…I bet you use the dehydrator to make them…love any hints from you on that front. 😍Thanks so very much for sharing all your recipes with us!!

I’ve made my first bowl of congee 2 years ago!! Chinese donuts are hard to Ketofy 😅. I have a banh xeo recipe already and well loved! I will make a video for that. Fresh Spring roll wrappers have been done (check my videos), deep fried spring rolls is a success, but not as easy to make so I’m trying to simplify it for others, pho and bun rieu have been Ketofied but have not had a chance to write up a recipe. So many recipes to share😂 Please remember to turn on that notification bell for when I do share it. ❤️

I use 1.5 cup monkfruit granular and it’s too sweet (candy sweet). Just FYI anybody use monkfruit I recommend 1/2 cup instead .

Monkfruit is 1:1 to sugar. Allulose is 70% as sweet as sugar, so the quantity needs to be adjusted if another sweetener is used. This beef jerky is on the sweeter side, the kind I used to eat back in Vietnam or the ones sold in Asian supermarkets, but it should not be candy sweet. How do find it texture wise with monkfruit? Did it get powdery after? Did you use Lakanto Monkfruit sweetener? Monkfruit sweeteners are normally blended with erythritol. I used erythritol to make my Chinese sausages once, and it made my sausages powdery white on the outside. Tastes fine though.

Interesting....I always figured the beef was cooked first because it didn't have the same kind of texture and taste as western style jerky. I was wondering why you cooked the slab of flanks like that instead of just cutting it down to small slices first. Then I realize the reason for cooking a whole flank instead of slices is the prevent the meat from curling up. Given that....I think I will try this recipe, but I will cut the flank first, marinade, vacuum seal to maintain the shape of the slices, and just sous vide the meat. Afterwards...the steps will be the same, I think. Hope that idea works. Thanks for recipe!

I’m confused. I’ve made many a batch of jerky and not once have I precooked it. Keeps for as long as it can stay hidden from snackers’ hands lol Incidentally, I have the same dehydrator. It’s definitely very nice. The ex wanted it in the divorce. That was a negative ghost rider. Pattern is full.
