011 BMW 535i making squeaking noise lower control arm right side

Thanks for the video. Getting a similar squeak when I put pressure on my X5, but not so much when I turn the steering wheel. Narrowing it down to either the lower control arm or strut mount. Just changed the thrust arm, sway bar link and tie rod. When these parts age at the same rate, sounds are coming from everywhere. The bushing looked good, but the squeaks come from mostly the ball joint. I'll probably inject some lube into the ball joint to see if the squeak goes away, then I'll know for sure it that's that the part. Heard never to use cinder blocks or bricks to support a car. Safer to use wood instead. To keep the same riding height when final torque, I measured the distance between the center wheel logo to the bottom of the fender before removing the wheel. Instead of lowering the car onto bricks, I jacked up the center rotor-to fender at the same height as if the car was leveled, then final torque.

Hello man, I’ve commented before on other videos, maintenance stuff, I yesterday was in a accident, my car was hit by a cow laying on the floor, it was impacted on the right side front end, around the same area you were working on, bumper broke, auxiliary radiator fell of, some stuff are missing and it’s hard to identify, the wheel is pushed back a little and yeah I have a big project on my hands. Where can I find a good reference to see what things I’m missing ?

We should start a 535I squeak club b/c I have the same exact thing. Seems like a lot of us do. Mine is only happening over big bumps/aprons at low speeds. I wonder if I should even bother or wait until it gets worse.

I have very similar noises coming from the same side. But they come and go throughout the day. Did replacing the lower control arm fix it for good? I see a lot of people writing it could also be the thrust arm.

Mine dose it over bumps on lower speed obviously because can't hear it on high speed , did Yours do the same ?

Someone sponsor this guy so he can buy metric sockets, E sockets (Torx) and a torque wrench. He's great at telling you what to do but the Germans build it with 16, 18 and 21 mm nuts and bolts with the odd Torx and ZXN spline chucked in for good measure he needs better fitting tools.

2013 5 series f10 xdrive ,is the same job , I need to replace trus control arms,
