02 Yamaha raptor 660 won't start 

Check all the battery, relay,starter, and ground connections and make sure there tight!(probably already have) if there all tight you can test your relay by using a screw driver to short in between the battery and motor studs on the relay, i think there marked B and M, if it cranks the relay might be defective? really seems like a ground issue to me. It's the solenoid that plugs into your battery

by what i know, its most likely the relay, if not than the CDI box, or the starter motor itself

Try putting the positive cable of a jumper cable to the positive side of the starter and ground to the case of the starter to see if the starter turns over if it does its your starter relay it can be bad right out of the box even if it's brand new

I had the same problem I just put it on second gear push it down a hill let the clutch go and push it down after it started

It’s the plug under the seat with the 2 fuses it’s comen

I’m having the same exact issue all I get is the clicking sound. I took it to a mechanic and he put the new solenoid switch I brought on and it crank only on full chock. When I push the throttle it cut off. So I cleaned the carb and rebuild the inside. I put another new solenoid switch on and now I’m getting the same clicking sound from the solenoid switch. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT PLEASE.

Can’t jump the four wheeler with truck or car battery it’ll fry the cdi box to much voltage

6 volt battery? Might look into that.

This is old but that's the starter relay..

Its your Timing it came out of place your going to need to buy a YAMAHA - KEY, WOODRUFF - 90280-03001-00 this is the part # this is what mine needed i had the same problem it would turn but wouldn't turn on trust me thats what you need i bought everything new and still wouldn't turn on and the hold time it was that dumb part

solenoid Is junk just had this problem with my GF quad! If you jumped it with key on she will fire right up! Get new solenoid bud! Fix your problem
