Haven't kept up with the Eternal speedruns for quite a few months, last time I followed xamide's grind closely the fastest runs were between 1:56 - 1:58, the time saves in the last few months have been incredible. I remember people doubting that sub 2 hours was possible and here we are, congrats man.

Damn I just started playing doom eternal about a week ago, managed to make it to the final sin on nightmare, but this is absolutely amazing. And I thought I was getting pretty good because I was doing meathook jumps, incredible work

This game is so fucking polished the speedruns feel like ACTUAL speedruns and it doesn't feel wrong, like in other games where you get that weird feeling of "this is not how you supposed to play the game", not this, this feelis like "hell yeah this is how you are supposed to play it" absolutly amazing.

Just played this game for the first time after I was inspired by this video. After 35+ hours of playing on normal difficulty (obvsly without getting all the secrets) to beat the icon of sin, I can truly appreciate how absolutely amazing it is for him to finish this in less than 2 hours. Truly a feat to be admired

After grinding UN (final sin the further i got, fuck) it surprises and terrifies me to see that, having total control over the game mechanics and pulling UN runs consistently is like, the very basic ingredient to speed running this game. Then there is boosting areas and strategies, the precision... All incredible
