Reminded Me of an Australian Army Exercise, where a Line of Armoured Fighting Vehicles were moving along a Fence Line. The Exercise dictated that the Lead Vehicle would come under Enemy Fire from an area on the other side of the Fence. The Lead Vehicle would Turn, punch a hole through the Fence and Advance. Remaining Vehicles would then FOLLOW HIM THROUGH THE HOLE and Form Up on the other side in Attack Formation before Advancing. Cost to Exercise being One Hole to Repair. But that’s not what happened. Lead Vehicle came under Enemy Fire. Entire Formation Turned and punched individual Holes through the Fence. Cost to Exercise being Replace an Entire Fence. That single event blew the entire Exercise Budget. And the Land Owner was Less than Impressed. He Revoked all Authority to Use His Land for this and all future Military Exercises.

The military needs to open up to people over 30 and stop having a low cut off age of 25-27 depending on role. Need to copy the UK up to 35 years old can join up full time.

Anyone know if that airfield is Gormanston Camp?
