1 on 1 with Principal Owner and Chair Sheila Hamp 

This is the 1st time in my 32 years as a Lions Fan I’ve heard the owner do a 1 on 1 interview and talk about the team. Shelia definitely is different than her parents I’m glad she got control on our team’s future

Now that we have the culture right, open that checkbook and let’s get some players Sheila.

Soft ball questions. Free agency book prop. Scripted answers. But I'll give her credit.. this is better than anything I saw from Ownership in years. I'm optimistic to be honest. I really believe in the Holmes/Dan Connection.

I think you did good Mrs. Sheila. Not throwing money away in free agency to older players, signing who I wanted DJ Chark, hopefully he loves it here and has a great season. We have so much draft capital, watching the Jaguars spend as much as they could quickly I'm very happy at how smart were playing it right now.

This is the most optimistic I’ve ever been in management and leadership. Keep up the good work, Sheila.

Just the fact she was willing to sit down for an interview says a lot. Her father and mother couldn't run away fast enough from the reporters post game, and they never sat down for an interview from what i recall. I don't know if Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes will deliver a Super Bowl, but this is easily the most hopeful I've been as a Lions fan in my 36 years so far.

That. Ladies and Gentlemen is Leadership. She had a vision, set the table, got her team in place. And gives them the trust and room to do their jobs. She closed with how she is involved, but, letting DC and The Madman do their jobs. The Ford family finally put the right person in charge. She is football smart and above all else passionate. God I love this team!

The thing that shines through with all the hires and the top brass and coaches, they all are rooting for each other and genuinely excited at each others success. Detroit may not be a classic destination for players wanting to head here, but it now seems like once we get guys in the building they want to stay and are committed to improving for the whole. Great hires, great direction, the process has been fantastic, the team was injured a lot last year and never gave up, young guys kept stepping in and stepping up and we became somewhat competitive. Year 2 is looking like we can become a .500 ball club give or take.

She actually seems like she cares if the Lions win a Superbowl. Go Lions!!

I'm glad that this interview happend. I've been telling people Shelia is different. She played collegiate tennis at Yale. She clearly has a competitive spirit. Who wouldn't want to be a part of turning the lions around. Your legacy would echo through eternity.

You failed twice in free agency. You still haven't cut DeAndre Swift (drafted over Jonathan Taylor). Real fans want to move on from mistakes quickly. You resigned Alex analzone. Resigned Tracy walker. Brought back Jarred Davis. Your about to blow this draft as well. The reason why this team is terrible and incompetent is real simple. You never ever make the obvious fan favorite personal moves. You hired this Dan Campbell guy why he's from the 0-16 culture. Real fans don't understand the move and never wanted it. We wanted a Jim harbaugh, or a Jim Caldwell to never be fired!!!!!!!!! You hired a general manager that somehow has southern California football roots. Hmmm why would the fans of a Midwest football team want a general manager with a fixation for western and southern California talent????? Answer me that Shelia hamp Ford? So excited for this year if they can smooth over all of the Calvin Johnson stuff and hard knocks and bring him in during hardknocks it would be one of the best years to be a lions fan ever, Imagine how big it will be if we draft Malik Willis as well, crazy.

I'm from Arizona but became a fan of the Lions late last year. After watching Hard Knocks this season, I became a believer in the coaches and the players. Even when they were losing early on, it was usually by 4 points or less. It was only a matter of time before they started winning those close games. What heart and determination they showed in their last 10 games. To finish the season winning 8 out of their last 10 games after losing 5 out of their first 6 games is simply incredible. There's no doubt in my mind that they will come back next year and make it to the playoffs. Go Lions!!!

Great teams start with great owners. Sheila is off to a great start- She's no regular Ford! She is in the thick of it, a passionate owner that wants to win badly. I think the fans are finally getting what they've always wanted, an owner who really cares! So let's cut her some slack (for those who think she's just another Ford), she's done nothing to show that she's like her predecessors. She's smart, and competitive. It's her dream job to run the Lions, and she's doing a hell of a job.

You can't win with a blue Lion on your helmet, there is no such thing. Been sayin i for years. I would like to see a gold lion on helmets. After all they have been in the NFL longer than almost every other team, that's gold status, as are the Ford family!

The biggest stand out difference/ positive ive seen in Shelia is her willingness and drive to learn about the game and the nuances of it and not just the flash and awe quality, its very refreshing to see an owner who lets their coaches and GM do their thing and chooses to learn the game.
