The Fords are the right owners. Shelia is not sitting still. This was a brave move by her. I love how she is just as real as it gets with these reporters. She is very humble and considerate of us fans. Dig it! I think the attacks on Rod are because people do not understand what Rod does and they think he could be part of the problem because of it. I think people need to understand Rod is like the right arm of Shelia. He just does as she asks and is a sounding board for her.

"If the incoming gm decides to rebuild, will you allow another 5 year leash." "For the next 4-6 years with this team, what are your expectations, what would you consider to be failure, and what would you consider to be success for the incoming administration?" "If we win a playoff game in 4 years from now, but fail to do much else, will you be satisfied? Or are your goals as an owner of an NFL team higher or lower? What will you personally do to ensure that those goals are met?" "What sales pitch would you use to bring in a new GM?, and if you aren't set on one, might i suggest something? Imagen each NFL franchise has a plot of land in a city. What you build in the land you have is based on the materials you use, or players you draft, its based on the plans your architect and engineers draw up (Gm& front office) and Its up to the construction crew to follow the blueprints and use the materials given to do the best they can. (coaching staff working with what is given). And its based on the budget of the owner and what they are willing to look at on their lot. Almost Every team has a few pretty nice buildings. A Few teams have what you could call, skyscrapers. But our land? our teams history to date? everything has crumbled. Its baron. We have a plot of land with a shaky foundation, its swampy, stinks, and no one has been able to build something worthwhile on it to date. But the first architect that does with forever be cemented in it. There is so much room for a hero in this city. There is no competing culture. There is no hero of the past to be compared to here. Win here? You will instantly be the greatest GM, Coach, or Player we've ever had. Win here and you will have done what no person has ever done before. I don't think another team in the league can offer that.

Not happy with the Ford Ownership but I give Mrs. Ford-Hamp credit for seeing during the season that these two needed to go! I hope she doesn't lean on Wood to make this decision. Bring in a Tony Dungy, Chris Speilman, and Bill Cowher to help her make the decision on a Coach and GM.

Now just hire Louis Riddick as your next GM and we'll be good.

I think I like her. The timing for this is good. They have the rest of this season plus the early off season to evaluate and make the best decision possible. I don’t know who the best people to replace them are, but I’d like to see someone brilliant and young. Someone who can relate to the players and create a new culture. Easier said than done.

He has made clear, too often, that his scheme does not fit this personnel, & he does not have the ability, or creativity to make that happen, with the players he has on this team.

Been a week. Shutout on sunday blowout on thursday firings on saturday. Been too many glass players in last couple yrs( falls on gm s head) too many blown games( falls on coaches head). I hope and pray these guys get ALOT of input and do much studying before naming new position(s). We do deserve a winner!!!
