1v7 skirmish match in StarCraft Remastered with Zerg against 7 random AI / Computers on the map "Abattoir". Thumbnail: 1 Zerg vs 7 Computers: The hardest map
It’s a shame there’s not even a single dragoon showed up during the fight. Or tanks, vultures, high Templar etc. Zerg eventually figured out lurkers but that’s about it. But at the same time, rush means no time for higher tech units so. It is a feat indeed.
That is because the computer's tech level is based on the number of bases they have. With only of one pile of resources for each player, the computer will hardly move up the tech tree. I always build a 64x64 mini map with 1 big pile of resources in the centre and I would play 1 vs 7 melee. 9/10 times I will win due to the same reason and there is no need to send my scv for harassment.
So I tried a lot of different maps to find the hardest one for this challenge, and I thought this map would be impossible to beat because you just get attacked too early... until I thought of this cheese strategy! Let me know what you think about this.
Opening cheese was the best. Is it RNG whether computer builds any air in "initial" attacks, or does AI simply believes that ground only, no detection beats lurkers in the choke?
I was wondering when you'll make one of these since I've been a Zerg player since the first game came out, nice to see it today! Keep up the great work!
@@HibiscusOrchid that is done on high level Starcraft. When u put an unit that is far away from the mutalisks un the same group the mutalisks dont Split and they are easier to control to atack at the same time when killing workers. U can see pros doing It with overlords at the early stage of the Game.
Stu: juggling with a drone and building up his base. Me: Perfect multitask micro! Stu: adds a second drone to juggling. Me: Err, what's the word for better than perfect?!
Thank you for the incredibly cool video with many tricks and interesting techniques! I didn’t even think that playing as the zerg could be so creative. Eggs power)
6:28 TMI : Lurker eggs don't die on one Yamato cannon shot of Battlecruiser. Yamato cannon is Expolsive 260 damage, and lurker egg is 200 HP , 10 DEF and Medium size. (260 damage - 10 DEF) × 75% (Expolsive and Medium) = 187.5. So egg lives with HP 13 after get hit on Yamato cannon.
I am never tired of watching you play 1 vs 7 AIs. StarCraft Brood War was my childhood and I and my sister still play it. With HD graphic in remastered version, your gameplay makes the game even more fun! Amazing! Thanks for all these amazing videos 🔥🔥
They would eventually sometimes bring some detection, but this map is so small that they just do an all-out rush without much teching at all! They're probably programmed to not bring slowverlords because they would be just be dragging behind because of the speed difference. Or maybe they didn't expect you to rush into invisible units.
@@StuGames cheat is clearly involved for those who played this game they for sure know that for example a terran attacked with invisible form of attack will instantly launch a scan, weird here terran are killed and not even a scan launched...not mentionning lacking protoss probes or zerg OL
@@thorstein37 the ai in broodwar is actually very stupid when it comes to teching up, in fact zerg ai almost NEVER progress to hive tier. Serious, they almost never hit hive. When he attacked with the drone to bait the workers he effectively forced the ai into a “keep rushing at tier 1” mode. Its perfectly believable for the terran to not build a com scanner, even with academy, because its ai build order is so messed up.
@ 14:50 my first time witnessing the remastry of brood war... and God is the lurker carnage beautiful ! - especially the waves of medics the terrain kept sending in lol i was really expecting them to send in tanks and nukes, but i guess the map is too small for that kind of militia to form. Great play .
U can kill any computers after first attack. Take one lulker from your defence and go to enemy command center. In map "The Hunters", sometimes, i victory lulkers only.
Are you playing on the fastest speed? Why does the clock don't run faster then? I thought normal speed was max minus 2, and above that everything else was "sped up", at least that's how it works on standard Brood War campaign. Am I wrong? Great skills by the way, you don't cease to amaze me!
You know, I feel sorry for all those poor lurkers sitting there squatting in one tiny cramped hole! I bet they all were thinking to themselves: "the first person who farts in here gets a black eye"...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I swear, the campaign AI is *meticulous* about bringing detection with them. Scripted attacks are a lot more well-designed than open-ended AI attacks, and the campaigns are quite well-built in terms of scripted attacks.
They do, but none of the enemy Terran players built a comsat because they were "rushing" and it's not part of the rush build order. Nevermind that their "rush" was still going on by the 10 minute mark;)
Nice. Wonder why they didn't do anything to detect the lurkers. Anytime I used any cloaked unit I'd get scanned instantly, or there'd be an Overloard or Observer there.
I'm not sure if this is confirmed or not, but if you kill an SCV that's building a structure, the unbuilt structure will be ignored by the AI and just build another one. One time me and my bro were doing the eco delay trick and he actually ended up killing an SCV building a barracks, and 30 minutes or more later into the game we found the same unbuilt barracks from early game.
Mad lad did the bulk of the defence against 7 AI using, like, 10 army supply of Lurkers. Arguably, could any other map where the AI decides to build tech beyond Marines, Zealots, and Hydras be harder?
When he was stacking lurkers, it made my heart hurt.... IF he spread them maybe make 3 holes each an inch away and stacked those 3 holes it would have been far more effective But nonetheless it was a great game and i always have a team of Guardians along with mutas
I find it strange that the terran AI isnt using it sweep scan to see your lurkers. I remember in the original sc1, they did a sweep acan to see wtf was going on
Well played. You could have cut minutes off your time if you harrassed the base next to you with a drone if there was a gap. Or send over a lurker. Very enjoyable to watch
I remember the brood war AI being way, *way* better than this. Not a single siege tank. No comsat. No missile turrets protecting the mineral line. No dragoons, photon cannons, templar, etc. The AI was clearly broken here. Not sure if it's just this map, or if remastered is like this in general. I also frequently abused the AI like this, distracting their workers to beat them 2v6 on various maps in the original brood war. And while it delays their economy, they would never just straight up get stuck on stone age tech like this.
IMO the hardest map for 1 v 7 CPU is fastest map 'cause the AI just have infinite money to throw at you. 1st wave will be basic unit but after that, they spam high tier unit wave after wave . You can try and feel what I say.
Now try on a map with expansions. When AI is only on one base they normally stay on tier 1 units and no scanners. Plus, you can just wait them out on a map like this...
Well, thats impressive. However, I'm pretty sure that this is the only map this could possibly work - because (!) it is that small. Otherwise you couldnt attack and defend with the same units at the same time. Again, doesnt make this less well executed :-)
