10 EXCLUSIVE LONGBOARD TIPS 

Just started longboarding a couple days ago never skated in my life I’m in my late 20’s I’m really addicted to practicing. I get anxiety practicing in public but I wanna keep going it just feels like freedom

don't loose your trucks too much. once I did it and the screw came off and I was bombing a hill and dude that day wasn't a pretty day...

I'd say just try to get past those learning curves. When you really just wanna give up, your bored, lazy, or you're just not feeling it. Try and push past that moment. Almost always you'll end up doing something amazing. This is where you'll really grow in your skills. (Basically don't give up)

today i long boarded for the first time and fell super hard in the street. got a little bit of roadrash and ripped pants, but i’m already addicted :P

I'm a beginner this is so helping....

One thing that's kind of surprising to me after my first season of longboarding is how important the fundamentals are. There are so many parts of your body that need to adapt to riding a board. I spent most of my summer working on pushing, which sounds really easy, but figuring out switch is hard, like learning to drive a car by writing with your non-dominant hand! Such a benefit though, being able to comfortably switch stances and having built up my stamina, now my range is limited only by weather and time and cruises of 20 km+ are pretty regular. Stretch your limits, drink lots of water, get a good night's sleep, and let your body rest when it tells you to and you will be amazed at the results!

I went longboarding outside for the first time today! I'm happy because my braking stance was good enough to actually stop me from going down my town's hills :)

i got into longboarding from my brother, i have his old board(an old cruiser that needs new grip tape😂) i've been doing it for 2yrs now and i love it

I was a skateboarder as a kid, but stopped sometime as my teens hit. Now at 20, long boarding has piqued my interest in ways skateboarding didn’t... probably because I’m not quite as overly energetic as I was before. Your videos are DEFINITELY gonna help me get back on a board. Subscribed. 😍✌🏽

great tips brother. I started long boarding a few months back and never thought to loosen the trucks, and I figured out rule 9 the hard way too.

It's so true about the clothes. I'm from NYC over here we play handball you guys probably call it wallball and when I wear comfortable sweats as opposed to tight jeans I play so much better and I feel less tense and more confident. Weird but true

Honestly the most important thing i found was the deck. The flex and shape makes a massive difference.

For sliding, the trucks need to be moore loose?

How do you power slide I am near lots of hills and go really fast down hills. I can do the healslide but it only works at slow speeds. I am very good at carving and can do it sharply but not really sure how to powerslide! (I do not have those slider gloves)

Hi Hans, thanks for all the "how to" video's for beginners. They are a really good help. I am trying to learn how to longboard, so I can teach and explain it to my 8 year old twins who are very eager to learn it themselves. Tip #1 in this video really worked for me. Had some problems making sharper turns and loosening the kingpins made it way easier. Good one. Now do you have some tips on how to start riding switch ? Thanks in advance and keep it up.

Hey hans ive just bought a Gravity Longboard (Brad Edwards 40') With some Randal Longboard Trucks and some 60mm Strikers Wheels with abec 11 bearings!!! Its a good longboard? 1-10 how good it is?

It’s hard riding in Las Vegas because there are so many cars and people that are going to watch you if you eat shit. The roads have a lot of bumps so the only place where I can get a smooth ride is at a park where people jog. It feels nice tho.

Unfortunately i learned about the grip tape wearing holes on my clothes the hard way :( Ive noticed when i ride for a long time, my pushing leg gets some pretty bad cramps.
