Other facts: 1. WM8 marked Shane McMahon's first WM appearance, as he was one of the officials who attempted to keep Miss Elizabeth out of ringside during the Savage/Flair match. 2. Hoosier Dome/RCA Dome was the first WM venue to bite the dust, as it was demolished in 2008.

This is the most underrated mania ever💯. Flair/Savage and Hart/Piper were both undeniable classics. Taker/Roberts and Michaels/Santana were also great matches. WM8 also showcases the golden era stars like Hogan, Savage, and Warrior, while getting a nice glimpse of the greatness of New Generation stars like Bret, Shawn, and Taker.

Don't this distract you from the fact it's not Roman's fault it's WWE Creative's fault.

These wrestlemania videos have been some of the best on the channel.

Mania 8 was awesome and gets criminally underrated. Hart/Piper was a classic and Bret bleeding was a great visual and added to the match. Savage vs Flair is one of the greatest matches in WWF/E history, and their feud is one of the best as well. Loved that Flair bled in that match, as it added to the absolute hatred both had for each other going into that match. Never knew about Sid flunking a drug test (that stuff wasn't public knowledge back in 1992)

What a great, fun Wrestlemania! I remember my dad was getting home late one Friday night so he couldn't bring me to the video store to pick out a tape like we usually did Friday. When I woke up on Sat morning I discovered my dad ended up getting two tapes on the way home. He knew he ccould never go wrong with getting me a WM so it was WM 8 as well as 13 or some other one I believe I had already seen. My dad ended up wathing it with me and what a ball we had! The Savage Flair was fun. Hart Piper is still one of our all-time favorites and Hart is out ultimate favorite! Thanks for letting me pour out the nostalgia!

Sensational Sherri was supposed to hide under the apron and hold down Tito Santana's leg when HBK pinned him, much like Bobby Heenan did to the Ultimate Warrior during his match with Rick Rude at WM5. But, Sherri apparently forgot the plan, and it led to a very awkward-looking awkward pin.

I remember it well! I was there and it was a spectacular event. Heenan had threatened to post centerfolds of Miss Elizabeth in the arena and we really wanted that to happen. Hart vs Piper stole the show. But, as some others have mentioned, it sort of marked the end of an era.

5:33 To me, the mere fact that they booked the Wrestlemania Main Event to end on a DQ in the first place - botched or otherwise - is all the reason in the world for it to be considered bullshit. Much more so than any other match - at absolutely any other event - out the entire year, the main event at Wrestlemania needs to have a decisive and conclusive finish. Wrestlemania is supposed to be the big payoff! The big blowoff! The moment where everything else builds up to! It should not be a stepping stone that builds up to the big blowoff! That IS the big blowoff! So yeah ... even taking the botched ending out of the equation, the originally booked ending was still bullshit!

Hope that everyone enjoyed WM 1 - 8 from this What Culture special because it's about to get ugly for the next 5 years! Then again, WM 10 had Bret Vs. Owen & Razor Vs. HBK Ladder match - WM 12 had the Iron Man match - and WM13 had Bret/Austin. But I don't think that one or two great (and all historic) matches exempts a WM from being bad. I doubt that people would be talking about WM25 had we not seen the HBK/Undertaker match.

I have to comment before I watch, it's only right considering Wrestlemania 8 is my favourite of all time, really? yeah, really. Why? because when your 8 years old and Macho Man beats Flair, and then my favourite superstar at that time The Ultimate Warrior returned to save Hulk Hogan. Although I don't get the same feeling now watching it, the feeling 8 year old Victor is unachievable now, but trust me, it was amaze balls.

My first live wrestling event. I was 10 and was there with my best friend and my dad. My most distinct memories: 1. We didn't know about "dark matches", so we only saw part of the Bushwhackers vs. Beverly Brothers match. 2. Undertaker vs. Jake was surreal. The crowd was really into it. 3. Piper vs. Bret was awesome. The crowd was split to my recollection. 4. Flair vs. Savage was also amazing. 5. The Lumbee Indians before the Tatanka vs. Rick Martel match were cool. 6. I was pissed about Money, Inc. keeping their titles against the Natural Disasters by deliberately getting counted out. That was injustice. 7. Hogan's match sucked but I didn't care. It was Hulk Hogan. And the fans were still very much cheering for Hogan. 8. The roof nearly came off when the Warrior's music hit. P.S. My wife recently THREW AWAY my Macho Man sunglasses that I think cost like $40 at the concession stand. My friend got Bret Hart sunglasses and a Hogan shirt (the same shirt he wore/tore in half for the event).

WM8, WM9 and WM30 will always be my favorite.

I attended WrestleMania 8 in Indianapolis when I I've there. It was definitely the last of the SuperCard Wrestlemanias and the WFF's golden era before ratings started to decline.

Wrestlemania 8 is one of my favourites. I became a WWF fan at that time. Wrestlemania 8 was also the last time Elizabeth and Randy appeared together at a Wrestlemania. They divorced shortly after.

Damn, I had no clue at the time THAT many wrestlers had fled the WWF. Crazy.

This is still my favorite WrestleMania..I love the bright day light shining through the roof, and the colorful pink on Bret Hart red and yellow of Hulk Hogan and it brings me back to my childhood. This was the first pay per view I ever got. Had to make honor roll to get it.. I thought Sid was gonna kill my hero.... also at this time I was a big ultimate warrior fan because before this I watch march to wrestle mania and they aired Wrestle mania 3 main event and 6 vs Ultimate Warrior... to see hulk lose but then they hugged at the end was very special to watch for the first time as a kid... and then warrior coming by surprise to help hogan at the end was magical to me. I recorded this on VHS and watched Wrestle mania 8 every day after school while playing with my hasbro WWF figures to the point where when I watch it as an adult I know all the commentary and every interview word for word. This was a great Wrestle mania.

This my favorite Wrestlemania and it was the lowest selling one. The matches were really good. Bret vs Piper for the I.C. title and one of the first times to fan favorites facing eachother. I was so happy we got to see Savage vs Flair which was going to be much more better match than Hogan and Flair which they were doing on house shows anyways. Hogan vs Sid Justice was a big match and Warrior coming back was sick! Santana vs Michaels was a descent match. Natural Disasters vs Money INC. Was a good match for the tag titles as well.

I had only become a fan a few months later during the build up for the 1991 Survivor Series. I remember begging my parents to let me order WM8 but they didn't and it's ok. I understood that it was expensive and we were in a recession then. WrestleMania VIII was awesome but I think the Flair/Savage match should have gone on last. Yeah, Hogan/Sid was memorable but the World Title match should always be the last match. They did it again in '95 when Diesel/Shawn wasn't the last match but LT/Bam Bam was.
