LOVE mine too....grew up in the 60's with old-fashioned stove top pc....got one as a wedding gift in 1978....used that thing til it literally fell apart....then got my Instant Pot....SO awesome and does not heat up my kitchen in SW Florida!

Dishwasher!!! The ultimate cooking tool. I didn't know I needed one one until we moved to our new apartment. It's totally life changing. Also I'm putting the instant pot and salad spinner into my Amazon carrt right now!!!!

This is a nice list and I'm sure some people will find it useful. I love her honesty in saying she is indeed sponsoring these products. By experience, I'd say that the only thing I truly needed as a vegan is a blender/hand mixer (not a goddamn unaffordable Vitamix, of course, just a normal blender that I treat with care). And maybe a good set of knives, which can be very useful. The rest can always be arranged. However I've been considering buying a garlic press because it's so annoying to have garlic smelling hands lol! P.s. heard some bad stuff about Caraway, I've never bought it but people who have are mostly disappointed! Always look up reviews before buying...

Will definitely be looking into that salad spinner Melissa. The one I have is absolutely useless. No matter how many times you spin it (manually), the leaves are far from dry, and NO ONE likes a wet salad 😟 unless it’s an tasty dressing that did the job. 😋

Hi Mel, I recently unboxed my Ninja juicer but was disappointed with the wasted produce. Like the pulp was still very wet and made we wonder if it really is a good cold press juicer. Are you still enjoying the Nama J2? Is it worth the many, many extra coins compared to the Breville?

You are assuming we can afford all these expensive appliances, which is a shame. I live on social security I can barely save money not to mention expensive appliances.

She's not making that assumption. The title tells you the topic. However, I understand the importance of affordable tools and appliances. My budget is a challenge, too. I have found that there are many vegan meals to make without any of the things she's mentioned. There are many vegan cooks on RU-vid that use minimal equipment, usually nothing more than a knife. Find what works for you and your budget. I had to and I'm eating well without that much more effort.

She isn’t making that assumption at all! There are very creative ways to get quality appliances to help you. I got a really nice salad spinner Cuisinart brand from Goodwill for two dollars! Also, I mentioned to a friend of mine that I wanted a blender and she gave me one that she had bought and never opened!There’s also Freecycle. And with the holidays coming around people will probably be getting new appliances and might be willing to give you their older quality appliances.

I'm sure these tools are great, but I find this video pretty disheartening. This implies that you can't move to a vegan lifestyle without more than $1,000 worth of gear. That could discourage many from even trying vegan options.
