@unitedstatesirie7431

STAY AWAY from 1911 style designed pistols. Many are accurate, but are not reliable enough for self-defense because of the tight tolerances it is sensitive to dirt, sand, etc. **** NOTE: The problem with ALL pistols that have external hammers is a small rock or sand and buildup of lint clothing fibers that can get in between the hammer & firing pin. Sad reality. With the GLOCK factory original high capacity magazines you need to replace the magazine springs with the WOLFF magazine springs. ⚠️There is a very important reason for this.
@unitedstatesirie7431
@unitedstatesirie7431 Год назад
@@firefighter5497 not reliable enough because of the open side design and it has an external hammer.

I trusted the M4 with my life, and it never let me down in Iraq. My AR is a civilian clone of that, identical except no "burst" setting and a slightly longer barrel (16 inches, as opposed to the M4's 14.5 inches). Why the dude was reluctant to put an AR on that list is really not as big a concern as most people think. Technically, the AK withstands torture tests better than the AR, but in 8 years in the Army (more than two of those in Iraq), I saw more AKs malfunction than ARs.

Overall a great video. I have had my Mossberg 500 since I started hunting with my father and uncle at 10 years old. 35 years later and it is still taking game. I could not begin to even guess how many shells I have put through it, birdshot, 00 buck, and slugs. It has the usual forearm rattle typical of old Mossbergs, but it has never failed to do it's job. I love that you gave some wheel guns their due as well. I have owned all of them in your video at one point or another, and loved them all. My current go to is still my Browning Hi Power though. I love the feel of it in my hands. It's accurate, good capacity, and has been 100% reliable. I don't know about the newer ones being built under license by a gun maker out of Turkey though. I have heard very mixed reviews. If you can find an example made by Browning, they are a solid weapon and there are tons of parts available to customize it.

Just found your channel and became a fan. I'm an old LEO that carried a Ruger Security Six with 38 +P and never had it fail over the several thousand rounds through it. I also still have an Ithaca mod 37 7+1 with parkerized finish left from those days. I am a .45 guy, yes one of those, and besides my 1911 I also have a Springfield XD Mod 2 and an XDS 4in I really like. Never had an issue with either one of those. I've owned Glocks and liked them. I've heard somebody once said the Glock 17 is the Colt Peacemaker of modern times. Keep up the great videos.

Wasn't expecting the CZ at the #1 spot. I freaking love my CZ P09 it's a little big for me to conceal but with the extended baseplate 22? round capacity. The trigger. The everything you can't beat it. I was with a buddy picking up a gun he ordered online for an ffl transfer. Got the CZ in hand and I couldn't walk away without that gun. No other firearm has felt so perfect in hand. It's more accurate than I'll ever be. What a gun.

I think it’s a testament to the gun that for over two years I’ve been trying to find, let alone buy, a Ruger GP100. They’re as rare as hen’s teeth where I live and most of the online gun stores have them in stock only briefly if at all. Chris, you highlighted what makes good guns good: they work when you need them to.

I hunt first and second shotgun season every year in Iowa, and the ole 870 has never failed to keep my freezer full. I also have an 870 Wing Master that my grandpa bought sometime around 1980 and left to me when passed away in 2004. From personal experience I would always grab a CZ. I've put many thousands of rounds through my P-10F, CZ-75 P01, and P-07. And never had a single malfunction. All stone cold reliable, incredibly accurate and easy to shoot. My 457 is my favorite rimfire rifle I own as well, definitely planning on getting a Scorpion soon after my experience with one at the range. I religiously clean all my firearms though so keep that in mind. You can call me a fanboy but I love CZ for a reason, I've Carried/owned Mossberg, S&W, Springfield, Glock, Taurus, SIG, Walther, Ruger, Canik you name it. CZ seems to be the underdog with all these other massive names but they make incredible firearms, not without flaws but incredible firearms at a very fair price.

I picked up a P10F later and I don't know if it's the grip geometry or what but I just can't seem to do as well with it despite the longer sight radius. Even with a dot on the P10, I find I can shoot more rapidly and yet still more accurately with the 07.

Your #10 is my #1. Absolutely love my GP100. Love practicing with 38 spl, introducing people to revolvers is great with that gun because it has great ergonomics and due to the weight it really soaks up recoil. I handload super soft 38 spl for that occasion. My #1 semi pistol would be the Walther pdp. I have a 5" model and again, in my experience, fantastic pistol. Honestly, I have three Walthers and wouldn't hesitate to grab any of them. For me the ergonomics are spot on and they are the ultimate point/shoot pistols for me. Agree on the AR for the reasons you mention plus, for a lot of folks out there, it's a matter of muscle memory. Everything about that rifle/carbine is second nature.
