Much love and appreciation for the great nation of Italy. Love you deep down from the core of my heart, sending my best regards and loves over to Italy all the way from Nebraska United states of America. 🇮🇹🇺🇸🇮🇹🇺🇸
When I was a kid, I used to think that Tarantella Napoletana was the Italian National Anthem because every time that I watched a video or a commercial about something Italian it was almost always playing in the background. 😄
Depends on what nation is that commercial from, if it's from USA it's normal because americans exaggerate stereotypes,if it's from Italy means it's from Naples
Wow! I loved it! I recognized every song but, as you knew, didn't know all the names. I'm Italian American and grew up listening to these songs whether played on piano by my Paternal Aunts, or on the classical radio station. Thank you! I'm immensely in awe of your playing!

Show.
As an italian, thank you for these songs: we're going through a horrible period, and seeing that people care about us and our situation is heartwarming. Hope we can get well soon... thank you again ❤
"O sole mio" sounds so good here, the low notes on your piano have a very unique quality to them for some reason, and of course the performance is excellent as usual :)
He stares at your deepest fears and nightmares through your eyes while he plays, almost like he was possesed, legend has It that he has actually never seen a piano in his life and just plays his music using the deepest corners of your soul as a reference
Just happen to know all of them, some even the lirycs. 🙂 0:00 Taratella Napoletana 0:13 William Tell Overture (Rossini) 0:28 Bella Ciao 0:59 String Quintet in E major (Boccherini) 1:17 Funiculi Funicula (Luigi Denza) 1:57 Violon concerto in E major (Vivaldi) 2:12 Torna a surriento (Ernesto de Curtis) 3:06 Ranz des Vaches (Rossini) 3:35 O sole mio (Eduardo di Capua) 4:36 Sonata in A major (K322)
Kayne Dewhurst actually not really. He can’t make big key jumps without looking at the keys. If he could, he’d be as good as that blind Japanese concert pianist whose name escapes me at the moment.
Beautiful, know almost everything of these songs by authors, especially cous i like listening classical music. Rip Povarotti, what an legend operatic tenor.
The 9th song is a song I heard in daycare and loved, but couldn’t find it until about a month ago (I’m 15). The 8th song, Bella Ciao, is about the Partisans wanting liberation during WWII
Italy is not alone in this war against Corona Virus. Whole world is with you. Hope you get back to your best very soon. Lots of love and regards from India.
ONE ITALIAN SONG YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD OF AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL: Try some ITALIAN RAP from Mirai Magma ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RXLd3Xw7MJo.html
The way he looks at the camera is like someone told him he couldn't play that song and the he proceeded to play the song while looking at the person like" you were saying? "

I can honestly say that I have heard the majority of these songs. I never knew they were something much larger. Much of these pieces have been played through out the years in commercials, cartoons, tv, film, covers you name it. The ones we remember most are the ones that stand out more because they are used more. Taratella Napoletana and Funiculi Funicula, I'd hear as a child regarding anything that had to do with Italy. Funiculi Funicula was always played when something had to do with "pizza". Or they would use Taratella Napoletana. First time I heard it was in an old 'Disney cartoon. It was a 'Jack and the Beanstalk' skit with Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Goofy and Donald sing 'Funiculi Funicula' as they awaiting food to be brought back by Mickey trading in their cow. William Tell Overture, somehow became synonymous with anything that had to do with running. Especially horse racing. Violon concerto, was often used associated with visiting museums, catering events, anything grand. Ranz des Vaches, I'd hear in just about every cartoon from Disney, to Looney Toons, Tom& Jerry, Tex Avery, etc... It was always played as a backdrop for "waking up" in the early morning sunrise. O sole mio, was another I'd seen in cartoons from Disney, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, Tex Avery, etc... It was always the something to have you laughing. It shows you just how many of these songs have been with us. Timeless classics, that we never knew where they originated.
Don't forget that the theme for The Lone Ranger was The William Tell Overture. Try to listen to Toscanini conducting it, Incredible and it was the version used for the TV show.
Me: _cassually listening and watching the video_ *_Funiculì Funiculà starts playing_* Me: _starts singing at top of my lungs_ "Funiculí - funiculá, funiculí - funiculá. 'Ncoppa jammo ja', funiculí - funiculá!!!!!!!!" Most important thing that stuck with me in all 6 years of Italian classes
i find weird nobody noticed that 1:57 is not Violin concerto in E major , but it's Primavera/Spring from le quattro stagioni/the four seasons. Only the name of the composer is right that is Antonio Vivaldi. The composer of Violin Concerto is Bach
A me appare sempre però lo guardo poco perché ispira antipatia.
