There are so many ways to create progression in our workouts that aren’t just about increasing loads.
One simple way to create a new challenge may be by mixing up the tools you use for the same basic moves.
Another could be by making slight changes to the postures and loading placements during those basic movements like rows or squats or presses.
So if you’ve been looking to vary those basic exercises to keep challenging yourself, try using kettlebells with these amazing moves!

Are you painting these competition kettlebells or buying them like this? Most competition kettlebells are colored for a specific weight. Your colorful scheme is refreshing.

You've inspired me to just order some competition kettlebells. I miss doing the pushup to dip. Since I've transitioned from the gym to a home gym I've been building up the equipment needed. Thanks for the KB exercise ideas.

Great exercises. The one variation I was surprised I didn't see was the halo done standing on one foot. This exercise really gives a lot of benefits, particularly if it's done barefooted. Great for improving balance and ankle strength due to the micro-adjustments that your ankle needs to make to maintain balance during the movement.

Great video! The timing is spot on. These exercises are awesome. Question for you... have you ever tried Next Level Diet? I got a muscle-building meal plan from them that's worked wonders for me.

Some exercises are interesting, but others are not meant for everyone, like the first one on the video. The last exercise reminds me of the Bulgarian bag and am hoping you can put up a video about it. Great videos and channel, thxs!🙂

Thanks for these, especially #8, the full body that starts with the squat. Just did 18kg for 30 minutes. Its a great workout!

Used to HATE kettlebells until I learnt the proper way to use them. They are tough but if done correctly amazingly beneficial to a workout 💪🏼

Hi Cori, thanks for such wonderful and consistent content over the years. I have a question - can any of these exercises be part of a beginners programme? Also ,I have an epigastric hernia (waiting for consultations etc) however I need to get fit again and I'd like to return to working out again (with weights) - which set of exercises or which of your videos/programmes could help me?

Hello, I would dissuade you from doing any strenuous exercises until you have had your consultation. I work in healthcare (UK) and I would not encourage any patient to do anything until they have been checked over.

So what weights I use doesn't really matter especially for these demos. Because your weights may be very different. Because weight will not only depend on your specific strength in moves but experience with the moves and instability. Not to mention the reps and sets and even how and when you include the weights over the week may impact what you use. The key is focusing on feeling the correct muscles working so that you feel challenged for the reps and sets you do.

Can you do a video on how to not have lower back pain when doing leg or glute day? I had to stop doing deadlifts because no matter how much I focused on hinging my hips, my lower back kills me even a week after. And I also feel lower back tension when I do squatts. In my leg/glute day when I’m at my 3rd exercise, I’m already feeling lower back tension. I tried lowering the weight, trying that mind/body connection on my legs, to do controlled movements, and I still feel the same. I must be doing something wrong.

Cool moves. How would you set this up as a workout? 2-3 sets of each exercise with pause in between? Exercises back to back and repeat that a few times?

Is there a certain brand if kettlebells or weight that you'd recommend for beginners? Your videos are always so informative. Btw, I like that the kettlebells you used are so colorful.

So I like competition kettlebells as they are the same size regardless of weight making it fluid to progress. And there is no "beginner" weight in my opinion as it is your personal strength in specific areas that impacts what you use. Not to mention you will want to make sure you have the form down first. And then even weights will vary based on how you program. You may include the figure 8 for interval work in a circuit and then need a different weight than if you did 8-12 reps of the move at the start of a workout.

Just bought a new set of leather kettlebells. I was swinging my old pair waaaaay too easily. But even the heavier weight just didn’t seem too challenging. Now I’m so excited that I want to work out right away, but it’s the middle of the night and my downstairs neighbors will kill me!

These are just basic competition kettlebells. And the key isn't what weights I use, but what weights challenge YOU for the reps and sets you perform :-)

Great exercises with KB, but I think those KB's are a lot less weight that your typical KB that is that size. I don't see you carrying 400 lbs like 20 lb dumbbells.
