ive been trying to do a little bit of fitness in my home since we started social distancing and as someone who never exercises, this was hard XD but it is pushing me to get some exercise done and I love how it is short time brackets and doesn't take an hour, I like to start small and work up, thanks!

The best lady work out for slim legs and flat abs, albeit I carry out loads of cardio HIIT. You explain every step concisely and clearly , no nonsense. Perfect and relaxing balanced workout. Can do every day! Many thanks and best wishes, Flora London xx

I really need to thank you so much for being who you are. To me, you are my great motivator. I danced ballet for twenty years of my life until I decided it was not professionally for me, no matter how much I love it. I was much better suited to be a chef. However, I just can’t find any exercise program that I feel comfortable in other than ballet class. With Lazy Dancer Tips I have found my happy medium. I am finally back on track to feeling healthy again. Thank you Alessia. 😘

Okay I managed 6 min of this video after half an hour of stretching before, not bad...hopefully I can do EVERYTHING BY NEXT WEEK MHUAHAHA (im lame...) X,D damn this lockdown..

Loved this workout, BUT I was sweating so much that my feet actualy started slipping on the floor, doing it on a rug didn't help as well, so I could only the half of the workout :( I just don't know what to do with that!

Thank you so much for a low impact cardio ballet workout! My knees are pretty much screwed up forever due to doing lots of jumping exercises in the past. Needless to say, I'm excited to try this out!

May I ask what jumping exercises you did in the past and how long you did them for? I always liked doing HIIT but then I realized how damaging it can be to the body

All kinds of jumps: jumping jacks, high knees, squat thrusts, and many more kinds that I don't remember the names of. And yes, I've done HIIT before and I think that may have worsened the knee problem. My sister who works in physical therapy thinks my quads may still had not been strong enough yet for higher impact exercises and that I quite literally jumped into them before I was truly ready.

@@user-hf5xo3ly4q A lot of HIIT workouts involve jumping, which increases the intensity. Yes, I realize that there are low impact HIIT workouts out there, but the kind I used to do had higher impact, which is how I injured my knees.

@@lazydancertips must be a ballet thing luv:)- I am out of commision - I have a bum right knee (chronic) and I overdid step aerobics and other high impact fun stuff over the last few weeks- NOW my left knee is shot- . . . I had to cancel my fitness classes & am off to Georgia today- I am debating if I should get one of those wheel chairs @the airport. . . .. whaaaaa- chronic pain sux. . . . Have a splendid w.end xx

Sadly no. It takes many years of professional training from childhood to become a professional ballet dancer. It isn't something you can teach yourself or learn (at a high level) from watching videos. You can still enjoy doing it at home and taking beginning classes at a studio though.

I don't think it would be a problem, Varicose varies in each individual. Definitely moving an exercising helps with the blood circulation. I often use compression tights/socks as they help with drainage and long time standing fatigued legs. Always check with your doctor in case there is something more to know, and I definitely don't want to give you wrong advices. :) Love Alessia

Spinal decompression works if you can tolerate being strapped to a table that inverts you. It feels great but some people can't do it because of medical conditions. Peace and Blessings to you

pilates workouts can definitely help. I had a ballet teacher remark on improvements in my body and I had not really been trying to make changes; I just enjoyed pilates workouts. Her comment included, "joy has been doing pilates over the summer" in response to improvements on my extensions (ability to lift leg and keep my back up). I was dancing as an adult so improvement after my "prime" was really nice. I would love to do some spinal decompression too because I have pinched nerve issues.

You've been doing this for too long to not know that backlighting is the cardinal sin of camera usage. Rotate your set 180 degrees, use that natural light to boost your overall lighting. The wash out in this is so bad you're turning invisible. Watch a couple of lighting videos on how to set up a set, they'll walk you through why this is a sin, and how to avoid it.

As we mentioned already, there's no way we can turn the camera 180. The goal of a video is to communicate value and in this case, a workout routine. There's no way we can change the set so we're using lights to fill up the mid tones, we know that lens aberrations on backlit set ups are not ideal but a bright backgrounds produce silhouettes quite well and help with contrast. the tradeoff is that the scene is dryed a little, unfortunatey we can't do anything about that. The skintone in the video is quite lifted to not appear dark and the scene is quite contrasty which looked ok to us, again, no perfect. People please tell us if you can't see Alessia because she looks quite sharp to me. Again, in a more controllable situation, we would have arranged the lighting in a completely different way but I don't think anyone is interested on seeying our kitchen in the background and being distracted by the mess, therefore we had to come down to compromises on photographic quality. Please feel free to keep commenting on the lighting, but there's no way we can change it I'm afraid. We believe the image is as good as we can afford it for the moment.
