Thank you Joelle! I'm so glad to have found your videos, but sadly I've left it a bit late and by now have arthritis, i.e. hardly any cartilage left. At this stage, I'm in quite a bit of pain after any exercise or walk, especially at night. Still, I keep going. Can you confirm that the exercises are also suitable for people with advanced arthritis? Best wishes, Sabine

I’m not sure if I ever told you that I used to have a long term chronic hip pain which I thought I’ll have to live with for the rest of my life! Luckily, I found this video and started doing it daily to relieve my hip pain. Six months later, I just realized that my chronic hip pain was practically gone. I’ve continued to practice with you daily since! It’s been almost 4 yrs since that fateful day, thanks so much Joelle! I enjoyed practicing it today, it doesn’t get old 😊

Salu dear Joelle, I 53 and am from Switzerland too 😊. I saved 5 videos from you for my daily stretch as I have problems with Psoas, Bursitis, tight calves and knees. Today I did the psoas one and towards the end i started crying like a flood gate opened just like that. I guess that was tension relief from inside. I am Happy I found you, your videos help me immensly. I will do them everyday now because I need this as I am perimenopausal. Merci a toi ma cher 🙏 Namaste

I've been struggling for 2 months with pain in my hip and too concerned with covid to visit the doctor. After doing this routine just 3 times, my pain is almost completely gone. Wish I'd found you sooner. Guess it's time to buy a mat and continue to get myself introduced to yoga. Had no idea how wonderful it is. THANK YOU!

I have been having burning hip socket pain for months and love hiking. I was really getting distressed as I could not get rid of the pain in spite of doing different PT exercises. Out of desperation I searched "yoga for IT band" and found Joelle's IT Band Pain which provided almost immediate results. Since then I have been doing these series of videos and finally having relief. THANK YOU

I just had a bout of bursitis, the pain was almost unbearable! I had a cortisone injection, still had some pain, this video is so helpful and made me feel better thank you

Thank you so much for this video! My hip joint would hurt when I would run or walk. I have done this video for about 2 years and today I ran for this first time in over 2 years! I ran a mile in 12 minutes and walked over 20 minutes and had no pain! Thankful for this video and prayers! Miracles still happen! ❤️

I'm late to the party but I wanted to thank you for making this video and your other videos. This video alone has made a huge difference for me. I'm 65 and in the middle of one my hip/groin bursitis flares. Doing this video and also some isolated isometrics (focused on my SI joint) are making me feel like a human being again. I have been struggling with pain in my right hip for a few months, especially after sitting for any amount of time. I did the 10-minute Supine Routine for Hip Bursitis & Hip Pain... and Wow! Omg this really helped me right now at this moment ... was going through severe lower back hip n some kind knee pains connected with my lower back n hip pains.... juts did these exercises n feeling so much better....thx love ❤..... will continue them on daily basis ....as I'm tired of my fibromyalgia pains now

Wow thank you...I've been getting shots in my hips! Not helping. Need to start disciplining myself more. I was told nothing would help! Just like the stretch ing they told me to do for planter fasciitis. Now my foot is in a boot...will be doing therapy for that. My body is paying me back for working in the nursery business for 30 years!

10 Minutes of Yoga June 15, 2020. Just found your video and started it today. Bursitis in right hip. I have had 2 shots in the last 6 months and I really don’t want another one. I enjoyed your routine. Hopefully it will help. I also have arthritis in the spine and slight scoliosis so I am interested in videos for that also. Thank you.

Just found this video. Went to my surgeon says will need to have a hip replacement,bcuz of hip arthritis. I use a cain since the bursitis got a cortisone shot it did not help, so I will be doing these exercises. Hoping they will help. God bless and love to all.

It’s been a year I’ve been struggling with hip bursitis and I’ve had 6 injections. After one week of using your video, I feel like my hips have strengthened (bridge) and the pain has lessened. It’s manageable and some days I have no pain. Thank you.

I don’t suffer from hip bursitis, but I do have arthritis in my left hip. The pain is usually something I can live with, and it has definitely improved since I started doing yoga daily a few years back. But I also feel so weak and tight in that hip and some poses like deer are so so so painful but I also feel like it’s necessary. This sequence definetely hit home. Will continue to so this one regularly, along with many other of your videos. Thanks for everything, Joëlle! 🥰

Thank you for doing this! I've been doing the routine every morning for about a week and it has really helped. For the last couple of years I have been doing about 22 minutes of Vinyasa and really loving the energy it gives me. However, it's caused some inflammation in the hips and so I've been looking for relief from that. Your videos have the instruction and pacing that are helping me get stronger and I expect I'll be able to get back to the Vinyasa routines in addition to yours. This supine routine is best for me now, but I'll be adding in the seated and standing routines when it feels right. Thank you so much.

After 1 week I am feeling a lot less pain in my hips. I don't know if I have bursitis, but my hips were so sore. I skipped 2 days because of neck spasms, but still improved after I restarted up. Thanks for great videos, I am trying other ones out this week

For spinal stenosis, I'd recommend trying my sequence for low back pain (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HZ5GNs0HTqw.html) to see if that can provide some relief. After that you could try my scoliosis sequence (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XJwDguNYAdY.html) and upper back pain sequence (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GHRTLwFiGVo.html), each of which is about 10 minutes long. All the exercises are great! But there is one that I can't do, the one where you out your foot over your knee and then you kift your knee. Is there an easier version? Thank you

Great question! Feel free to keep the other foot on the floor if lifting it off feels a bit too challenging. Then focus on pressing the knee of the leg that's crossed on top away from the body - you should still get a nice stretch in the outer hip and glute!

Hi there, I obviously disagree since I include stretches in my bursitis videos. While strength work is important to strengthen surrounding muscle groups, stretching can be very helpful to relax and release the inflamed areas. It's both my belief and my own experience that a combination of both is the best way to relieve and prevent pain.

My hip bursitis brought this 59 year old "tough guy" to tears. With daily icing, tens unit and your routine, I have seen amazing results. I really think your video has had the most impact. I have not missed a day in two weeks and don't intend to. I will check out your other videos.

It’s been a little over two months since I join this incredible community. I could not bend over without the sharp pain of perifomis syndrome. I’m now practicing at least 10 min once a day. I Sat. on my knees last week. Didn’t realize I was doing it. I started practicing yoga in 2007. I took a break honestly because studio life was going away from yoga for health. The key to this is doing something. Yoga is very kind. It doesn’t require a 30 min or hour commitment. 10 or 15 min can release a perifomis knot or soon shoulder pain. I’m so excited. I hope you are having great days. And yiya do the community

I’ve had hip bursitis since late last summer. Every time I’ve tried to stretch my hip including PT sessions I have had more pain the next day. I don’t have any pain the days after doing this routine. I think it’s the combination of my hip now being healed enough for this plus the addition of the strengthening exercises rather than only doing stretching. I also have trained myself not to sleep on my hip or in a way that stretches it. Thank you very much for this video. Thanks to you I feel like my hip issue is almost over and will not last over a year thankfully.

Hi, quick question, I am not sure if I have bursitis or arthritis in my left hip, had an xray and doc said he didnt see anything probably inflamed. That was six weeks ago...anyway, was wondering with your bursitis does wearing denim jeans aggravate your hip? I've not worn a pair of jeans in 6 weeks as the waist of pants hurts my hip. Even wearing a belt hurts my hip. I'm having to wear loose fit leggings or lounge pants. Thanks for any advice.

Hi, I have trochanter hip bursitis in both hip , I had the injection but no change then I had a surgery last year in my right hip as I had a very bad tear I had a hard time , I still have bursitis in my left hip and surgery on right hip and now again my right hip is very sore , I don’t know what to do ? Because of coronavirus nothing is opened and I’m on strong medication again and I don’t know why my lower back is really sore can u pls help me x

Hi, I'm so sorry you've been dealing with so much pain. Bursitis can be awful. I would recommend trying a very gentle exercise routine that feels ok for you. This routine is a great place to start - see if you can make it through the first 2 exercises one day, then add one on each day and always listen to how you feel. And obviously, please consult with your doctor or a physical therapist as soon as possible! I hope that helps.

Hi, I’ve been doing your 10 minute hip pain video. The part where we stretch legs out straight and lift them up starting with the right leg, I cannot do that. I can only lift my leg about an inch off the floor, at the most. The left side (un-effected side) I can do the move no problem at all. The last bridge that you do, where you lift your heels, that is all I can do, I cannot lift my leg up at all. Is this ok and am I STILL benefiting from the moves? Do you think this will improve with time and practice? I am going to do daily like you have recommended. TY

Hi Leslie, good questions! It sounds like the hip flexors (the muscles at the front of the hip) are not used to working the way that we would want them to. You're definitely still benefiting from doing what you can, and over time the strength will come. I'd also recommend working your hip flexors a bit more in other positions (here's a quick practice you could tack on, as an example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m2UEzPheLYk.html )

Can all of these be done with THR ? I have right hip replacements and 16 months post surgery am suffering badly with bursitis. Just concerned about the rolling twists.
