MalisoulXD: I agree. There are a couple of logical ways to process Homer's response. The most obvious one is thinking that Homer is a moron for thinking that he got off easy. Yet, it can be an intelligent response, in actuality. Firstly, Flanders was not shouting at Homer. Secondly, the comment was rather short. Another thing to note is that Homer wasn't laughing to himself. He just stood there and said that he got off easy. In my eyes, that indicates that he was being somewhat intellectual, at the very least, at that point in time.

Homer also parked in an ambulance zone which prevented any possible resuscitation for Maude, so he kinda did two things to inadvertently cause Maude's death

If I was in the shoes of Ned Flanders; I would have sued the owners of the Race Track for negligence contributing to the death of a spectator, the T-shirt cannon shooters for reckless endangerment, and Homer for both emotional distress and pain and suffering. If the first two parties in the litigation decide to settle the matter out of court; fine. But I would expect Homer to pay the cost for Maude's funeral expenses and the therapy bills for Rod and Todd.

She fell a good 60 feet, they'd be shocking a pancake at that point. The most a human can survive from a fall like that is 45 feet with a few exceptions here and there, but more than likely by the time they arrived (if she survived) she would have died waiting for them and after a few minutes after brain death it would have been impossible to bring her back anyway.

@@codemeister1121 yes and by the time the ambulance got to the parking lot, she'd be dead. A fall from that high, there is no way she didn't splatter. (Sorry to be so gruesome) but when you watch movies with people who fell out of talk buildings they almost always have a pool of blood surrounding them because when they fall; blood vessels rupture, skin rips and blood flows out. She would have bled out long before the ambulance arrived (if she survived the fall.)

Yeah...The Simpson's creator's (writer's) went too far there. Originally Homer was a working class schmoe with a less than decent intelligence who went above & beyond for loved ones. It's ridiculous this Murder wasn't addressed over several episode arcs with his remorse. For me The Simpson's died in season 8/9. Whatever else is coming out, since, is another series all together. Just unwatchable.

Let's not forget the time that Homer lost his house because of his poor spending habits. Flanders spent a fortune to by the house so the Simpsons can live in it becoming their landlord in the process. Rather then lord over them or hold this good deed above them he is super nice and chill about it. He even goes out of his way to fix the house, Homer gets jealous and creates a video demonizing Flanders and posts that video on the news humiliating and vilifying the man who did so much for them!

The creator's should, for their Fan's sake, write off the unlovable seasons as not canonical. For me Season 8/9. The show has lost it's pop icon status. Homer comes off as an "Evil" dimwit (& that's being friendly). Homer has no remorse having caused so much TROUBLES for Flanders. This series was dragged through the dirt for fortunes. A pity. Everything after season 8/9 are non canonical for me.

Luckily, the opposite has happened a few times; some of those also thanks to Homer!! Examples include the movie and when the Springfield residents voted to kick the Simpsons out of Springfield. The Flanders' were there first, so if anything the Simpsons should be the ones that had to move. Cypress Creek and Cape Feare withstanding. But that's not the point of this video.

I've always hated the way that Homer treated Ned, he's a wonderful man the kind of guy I would like to have in my life, but I've always hated the way that Homer has treated him. Ned is an example of what a true Christain should be and I agree Maude was always so judgemental I didn't like her that much and Helen Lovejoy is the same way she is very judgemental too and a gossip one of the worst things a Christian can be.

It was bad enough for Ned, Rod, and Todd when Maude died; but I felt even more sorry for the three of them when Edna Krabappel died. If I was a writer for the show; I would love to write an episode where Ned sends his sons Rod and Todd to spend a weekend with his brother while Ned spends the day in bed grieving the loss of his wives. It's kind of inspired by the LeAnn Rimes song "Probably Wouldn't be This Way" because Ned probably wouldn't be that way if he had never met Maude or Edna.

Tbf, Maude was only killed because her voice actress temporarily quit the show and they didn't wanna recast the character. The VA returned 3 years later and has stayed since, but with Maude already being killed, it wouldn't have made sense to just suddenly resurrect her. They've only been able to feature Maude in flashbacks or non-canon episodes (i.e. Treehouse of Horror) because of that

They only killed her because the voice actress was tried of flying back and forth for the voice overs. Now they can do so she can stay home, which is why they brought her back as a ghost.

In an idea I had for a LEGO stop-motion Simpsons web show, Flanders hits his head and believes that he's Jesus, and, predictably, havoc ensues, or as Kent Brockman says 'sheer pandemonium across Springfield', with the amnesiac Neddy trying to perform miracles that usually end with something exploding, kidnapping and trying to brainwash Apu, and even attempting to assassinate Super-Nintendo Chalmers, Krusty the Clown, and even J.K. Rowling all in the same week, but, after his attempt on Rowling's life lands him in jail (for, in the words of Chief Wiggum 'the attempted murder of the first billionaire author in history'), Homer takes Ned to see Dr. Nick, who, through a few flashcards and a whole lot of Duff, is able to help Neddy remember who he is

Whenever a video like "10 reasons Peter should be in prison" or "10 reasons New should move away from Homer" come up, I suck it up and try to remember 3 important things. 1. It kind of works when they're portrayed as not the best people and not meant to be a role model. 2. You don't have to find what they do funny, and you can wish they would not get away with it at least sometimes, but you shouldn't take what they do seriously since it's a cartoon and it isn't real life. 3. If there was anything at all to like about them from the beginning, you can't really see them as a seriously redeemable monstrous villain with no altruistic or funny qualities.
