Started Vit B1 100mg twice in the morning along with magneisium 250mg twice in the morning. Before this I was in a wheel chair for down town use as I could barely step one foot in front of the other. Two days after taking the Vitimins I went for a three mile walk and it has been eight days of being able to walk with a full stride. The Parkinson’s medication did not do much. I would still be using the wheel chair. Try it as it may change your life.
This is wonderful! You must feel like a new person. Congratulations, I wish you continued good health. Thank you for sharing your results. All the very best.
I too am In a wheelchair just to get around. I'm going to try this. Can you tell me what you mean by twice in the morning? Is it a 100 mg total taken 2 different times or a 100 mg each time taken twice, same for magnesium, 250 total or 250 to total twice? Thank you for the hope.
Spot on = Could no longer work Totally DEPLETED and BREATHLESS = Doctor gave me iron but the nerve pain continued in legs and feet with cramps in odd places (even while sleeping) until I started taking a supplement with B1 = I CAN WORK AGAIN 😀
@@ppumpkin3282 Magnesium didn’t stop my leg cramps (although it used to, sometimes). The thing with B1 is that it needs magnesium to function so one without the other is useless.
I had tremors so bad I could not hold my cell. My doctor wanted to give me a prescription, but I declined because I just don’t like prescriptions pills. That same day I spoke to the doctor I started my RU-vid research. I came across B1 for my shakes. The first day I took 1,500mg, the tremors totally stopped! I like to take B1 at night because it is so relaxing,
@@Fstop313 me too!!!!! And you know what is very interesting? I had emergency gallbladder surgery a month ago and the tremors have totally stopped! No B1 needed anymore.
Excellent video! Was talking to a young girl about 11 yrs old . She said I should take Vit B1. I decided to humor her advise. Low and behold she was right! Who would have ever thought such a young mind could produce this profound information. Thank you for validating her thoughts.
Vit B-1 comes in 2 forms, water soluble and Fat soluble, The Thiamine B-1 is quickly peed out, Benfotiamine , the fat soluyble, stays in the system longer and do what it should
One additional point to above is Benfotiamine is Synthetic / man made solution but what i have heard this is the only synthetic vitamin which doctors would advice without caution as it does not have or has a very minimal-to-null side effects. And those side affects would go away by itself, unless those persists for more than a week.
Going through menopause, I lived in a constant state of anxiety. Stress through the roof. High blood pressure. Life altering insomnia. A friend mentioned B1, I tried it and let me tell you, it is life changing! I know it's the B1, because if I don't take it, I immediately suffer within a day or 2. My fingernails have become stronger as well.
Not everyone can take B1 before bedtime as it energizes some ppl...I tried both schedules and found that taking B1 at breakfast is best...if I took it at bedtime I'd never sleep...I say experiment with both and find which one works best for you.
@wakanda6754 True. That is what works for me. I tried taking it in the morning and it didn't work. It is soluble, so it dissipates quickly. So if you take it in the morning, it won't be there when you go to bed. If B1 deficiency is the reason for insomnia like me.
This is UNREAL, and like a message from God to me. The last few years I've had some health issues pop up (Just turned 53). Gout started several years ago, always been the A Type personality, panicky, on edge, perfectionistic. Drinking moderate to small amounts more often last few years, have Obsessive Compulsive (atleast I think I do), and constantly researching ways to improve my health--as I still drink and smoke. Then developed Tinnitus 3 years ago, which sent me into the ULTIMATE quest for info. Enter, Dr Berg and Ryan Taylor (and a few others). Long story short, I've learned TONS from the good people like Ryan here, and for some reason, this particular video seemed to put together about all the pieces of the puzzle, as to my issues lately. I mean, its like Divine Intervention. I somehow knew all along, that everything was tied, in balance, and for harmony, and after years and years now of watching vids on youtube and my constant searching and researching information (and seeing a lot of bogus propaganda and marketing gimmicks) I can honestly say the value I've got from Ryan Taylor's Videos tops all of the others in my arsenal of watching. The funny thing is, I have bought Benfotiamine and Unfortified Nutritional Yeast a while back (think mostly at the behest of Taylor) but I never gave them much of a chance (there goes my OCD and short attention span). This time I'm going to give them a chance again. Your video explained everything about my body almost exactly perfectly, from the prediabetic to the swelling, to well, everything you mentioned. PS: Your relaxing voice is a Godsend, a bonus to those of us who suffer from Tinnitus and extraneous noises. I sometimes listen to your meditation video at night when I have a particularly bad flare of the hissing. Thank you so much, and may God richly bless you.
Thank you so much for commenting and sharing your message with us here. I am very pleased to hear that you have found this info useful and it makes working on this channel every day worth every second. Wishing you all the very best with your health, and again thank you for making my afternoon. 💚
After listening to this video alone I have to agree with you it is very eye-opening...I had no idea this was potentially responsible for the host of similar issues I was suffering from constantly myself!! I am so glad his videos have helped you get answers! I hope implementing the advice he gives turns all of these health issues around for you! 😊
Take two tart cherry extract capsules at bedtime for two months to alleviate Gout and lower your blood sugar. You have to take it at night because it makes you sleepy. Tart cherry extract also helps lower your blood sugar and calms you down. I'm pre-diabetic and have been taking tart cherry for years and it has really helped me. In addition, I take a daily prescription medication, Gabapentin, to help calm the neuropathy in my left calf and left foot and my tinnitus. Finally, I wear hearing aids and my audiologist was able to adjust them to lessen the ringing in my ears and it seems to be helping. Wishing you good health, my friend!
When I was 14, my rib hurt so bad my mom actually took me to the doctor. He prescribed Darvon. Darvon!? Other tgan setting me up for a lifetime of loving pain meds ( not an addict but easily could have been) it didn't help. New pediatrician suggested B1. Helped immediately and I still take additional supplements when neuritis flares up.
This video answers everything I have been going thru. Not diabetic but the symptoms of B1 I have had every one showing up & doctors I have seen had no answers except getting older & stress of job.
Funnily enough, i bought Vi😂tamin B1 today. To help with my COPD. My nerves are damaged and have neurological quirks due to lack of oxygen. I was on another lung site which led me to your site. SERENDIPITY AT ITS FINEST. THANKYOU Ryan.😊😊😊
I cannot thank you enough for this video. I put myself on a magnesium/calcium/Vit D supplement for muscles. However, I am 70 years old and the neuropathy has grown in both feet and hands, especially at night. It is so true that standard blood tests do not show deficiencies, thank fully supplements are available without a prescription. I will add a complete B vitamin spectrum supplement. I sweat nightly when going through deep sleep phases, you have truly been helpful.
Vitamin E is also great for reducing pain associated w muscle issues. Especially as a preventative measure. Taking it before working out or doing anything that may cause muscle cramping/ soreness afterwards. It helps by reducing that inflammatory pain. It's also great for menstrual related issues (i.e. sore breasts) I take a mega dose the day before its set to come and it's has helped me tremendously! ( I was given that tip by a lovely dr I had many years ago) ❤💫
Another channel espouses the importance of taking vitamin K2 with your D3 to ensure calcium is pushed into the cells and bones where it is needed instead of being in the bloodstream where it can increase your risk of arterial plaque forming with cholesterol.
I wanted to update this comment. After adding a B-Complex, I was doubled over w cramps and abdominal pains for most of a day. I will try again w just the thiamine as suggested.
@@rachs57 are you sure you needed a complex? Did you look into food based sources instead so you get the most bio available version of each of the B vitamins? Also the cheaper supplements use less or none bio-available sources of the minerals
I am 70 years old as well and have never felt more better. I am getting B complex vitamins as well B1 through foods! Get the vitamins if you have too but maybe you should try and eat the foods recommend as well for these vitamins! I also cook my own foods so I know what is in it!
Low carb did what metformin did not. Plus giving up sugar and seed oils. Nobody on earth was more addicted to sugar than I was but meat with healthy fats will curb your craving to a manageable level.
Thanks for information on health problems. I’m going to try B1 and I take magnesium already . Waking with toes numb, cramps in feet. Aweful feeling. Vitamins are good to know . Been taking the B complex but fear it is crap brand. Stopped. I’ll look for both types of B1 thank you again U tube. Information is great. Not drugs from doctors with no cure. ❤
Be careful about eating fermented foods. Check out histamine intolerance. If you are suffering with a problem with histamine levels, allergies and if you are just tired all the time have trouble with inflammation, do some research on the topic of histamine intolerance. Folks who cannot get rid of histamine in their system are labeled as being histamine intolerant. Is a condition that is aggravated by eating foods that are high in histamine such as fermented foods and many other foods. If you are histamine intolerant you will find it well worth your time to research this topic and change your diet.
Just had a Nutraeval by Genova labs ordered by my functional md.. My B 1 was low.. Recently admitted to the hospital.. Had a high lactic acid level.. Researching it found low B1 causes high lactic acid.. Explains lots of things going on in my body.. Seeing my functional md this week.. Lab showed lots of other stuff going on!
I'm a long serving T2DM sufferer, my nerve pain at night was chronic, I started 1kmg of benfotiamine morning and night, all pain went after a week, now I will cut back to 1kmg/day..
@@ebo7310There are several types of Magnesium to try out if one type doesn’t suit you. This happened to me, one of the magnesium types made my stomach issues worse. So I tried one more type and thankfully this one (Magnesium Malate) works for me. I take (1) Magnesium Malate 425mg daily.
I have been to 2 different Nurse Practitioners here in the Pensacola Florida area and they BOTH stated that vitamins were worthless, and that you peed them all out within an hour or two. This makes me VERY ANGRY!!! I KNOW this is NOT True and unfortunately this is apparently the lie now being promulgated by the medical establishment!!! I pointed out to them recent research noting massive improvements and changes in health in medical journals......a copy of which I happened to have on my phone. I was completely ignored and they appeared to be annoyed with my knowledge. I believe they are being pressured to tell people this in order to reduce people's immune systems and to increase the vulnerability of all to the NEXT pandemic, which is already planned. All the while they told me this, they also pushed the COVID VAX!!! I really no longer trust ANYONE in the medical field!!!!
Actually they are partially correct. Excess vitamins are peed out in urine. Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat soluble and you can become toxic if you take too much of these. Otherwise, if you take supplements and your body doesn’t need them, they will be excreted. I’m a critical care nurse who trained both nurses and physicians. Retired now. Stick to your guns. Document your symptoms and try supplements and document any change. What you’ve experienced is gaslighting. It even happens to medical personnel. Find a different practitioner that you can talk about this with. Bring your information to your practitioner. Fortunately, I’ve been blessed to have a great doctor that I worked with before being her patient.
I had diagnosed severe hip arthritis for 23 years - half my life - when I gave up all dairy - the joints healed within 8 months - the reversal visible on x-rays - that was 20 years ago - dairy causes arthritis - fact
I have several of these symptoms, but when you mentioned painful calves to the touch, I nearly fell out of my chair! I have been suffering terribly from painful calves, heaviness and tired legs for months. Doctors haven't got a clue and just offer me pain meds, which I try and avoid. Sounds like I need some B1...
Goes to show that, my doctors over the past 30 years, should’ve been meter maids, when I consider what they know about vitamins. Ya’d think that, as I’m a T2D and we’re known to develop neuropathy, that these doctors would know more than to just prescribe vitamin depleting meds. But, no. I recently checked the documentation that comes with metformin. Says that your doctor might describe B12. So the Pharma company knew that. The prescribing doctors didn’t. Sure didn’t know anything about B1 and also the iron deficiency I’ve had. So, since I’ve been on B1, B12, Blood Builder, and a bunch of other vitamins for the past 4 months, well guess what? The very mean itch I use to get, on the bottom of my feet, that was almost worth crashing my car? Just about gone now. And the hair loss I began having about 30 years ago? Well, gee. Here comes hair! And, as a woman, who’d imagine I want my hair!?
This is a wonderful video for those who can afford to buy high quality supplements and have access and enough money for high quality foods. We are entering a time of food scarcity and billions losing their jobs (income).
See if you can find grass fed and finished beef liver. It should be economical to eat 3 servings a week and you would get all of the b vitamins from in.
Two months ago I started Benfotiamine B1 (300 mg 2×'s a day), R-Alpha Lipoic Acid (300 mg 2x's a day) , B-Complex, D3/K2 20,000 IU a day. Neuropathy from long term covid. Pain is becoming less, more activite, mental clarity. Helps!
I get liver area pain from white rice so I had to stop eating that (likely fatty liver/insulin resistance issues). What's surprising though is brown rice also caused the same pain so I had to avoid it altogether even though it is unrefined. I was eating a crap ton of carbs and eating frequently throughout the day so I am not really surprised. Switched back to 2-3 meals a day with less natural carbs/sugars and it is improving.
Whoops! I hit the thumbs down accidentally. This is great, thank you so much, and I forwarded it immediately to my sister-in-law, as she is suffering from quite a number of these symptoms. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
@@Tk-iz2ws Yes, thanks, I finally realized this. I was going to take a course (for seniors) in how to use my iPad to its full extent, just before you-know-what locked us into our homes, but in the meantime I managed to overcome enough of my limitations to use it efficiently. I could ask my little granddaughter for help, as she seemed to be born with computer-savvy.
I am severely deficient and have almost none of those symptoms. I had only prediabetes. The main symptom is the tendency to aches and pain, showing we don't make energy efficiently. (It shows in an organic acid test) Also being tired and weakness being more prevalent in the legs is a good sign.
I was unaware that a thiamine deficiency could contribute to acid reflux. That's interesting to know. Can you provide any citations for peer-reviewed journal studies that might provide more information about that? Thanks for your help!!
Low acidity of your stomach acid can also contribute to GERD/the valve not closing. Something like apple cider vinegar and diluted juiced lemon/blended and diluted whole lemon will add acidity. Might want to drink through a straw or brush your teeth after consumption.
OMG I pegged the charts on every single symptom you mentioned. I am going to discuss all of this with my doctor once they can get me into the office for a visit. At this point I'm struggling just to get through a single shift at work. I also just got through two weeks submarine from covid-19 could barely even get out of bed at all. I cut sugar and white flour My question is in regards to Rice: are Jasmine and basmati rice okay to eat?
Side effects noted with Benfotiamine are skin irritation, allergic reactions, shortness of breath, difficulty in swallowing, feeling of discomfort, rash, itching, cough, decreased blood pressure, facial swelling, increased sweating, restlessness, weakness, and wheezing....
I think I may benefit from benfotamine.. for some mild neuropathy in my feet. It seems to glare up when I've been on my feet a lot. Good in am when rested.
Not only. Caffein also blocks the CNS sensitivity to reactive oxygen species. This can cause a quick depletion of ATP in B1-deficient person which will lead to a pathological destruction of the nerves. But caffein is also an essential vitamin that participates in energy production inside mitochondrial ETC. So… it’s complex. It’s good and bad at the same time. Rare, moderate consumption is totally ok for healthy people.
Always thought I would get enough thiamine intake from alcohol. Until I read about the reduction of thiamine intake with alcohol use. Hoping to have recognized the issue now and improve my health for 2023!
Thank you! Wow, so far @ 3min I have all of it. This is a huge relief, i have hope! I didnt know that sugars steal thiamine. I bought super B complex along with over $100 worth of vitamins recently. Not sure how I want to juggle them. So i dont over dose on one or another vitamin. I've been diagnosed with fibro RA, Hashimottos, hietal hernia, Gurd-Gastro Reflux disease, Gastritis....idk I gotta lot but really it's likely just vitamin deficiencies-hallelujah Amen! I've just begun juggling them a few weeks ago. Some help I know for sure the kelp helps rhymes lol. Well, thanks again!
What do you think Infra red light therapy and devices . Which one you suggest for foot and ankle numbness and pain or tingling . If I buy ,I want to buy the right product at a reasonable price. APPRECIATE YOUR INPUT AND ASSISTANCE.
Sometimes you can have an undiagnosed digestive disorder which can lead to nutrient deficiencies due to malabsorption caused by damage to the gut lining. I was having numbness and tingling in my legs, along with other symptoms and was diagnosed with SIBO. I followed a restrictive special diet for 3 months and that helped alleviate many of the more severe symptoms.
Nice to have read your comment. Would you tell me the restrictive diet for 3 mths so that we can benefit from your experience. I have the same case as you. Thank you in advance.
I've recently been diagnosed with Wernicke's Encephalophy, which is an extreme loss of thiamin due to alcohol abuse. This is a significant illness largely affecting the brain with considerable ill effects, such as loss of memory, declining vision, damage to other spheres of the brain, and tingling/numbness and instability in the legs and feet. I'd been steadily drinking every day (sherry, in my case) for seven years after my mother descended into dementia, and became increasingly aware of the physical damage being done. I'm now on 100mg of thiamin twice a day, and not drunk for the last five months (which, of course, can have its own concerns). It's too early to say how beneficial this regimen might prove to be, but I thought it might be useful to leave this comment for anyone else who has alcohol issues. (By the way, WE can affect anyone at any age - in my case, I'm 75, and would rather like to continue on for some years hence). Robert, uk.
hello friends, everyone should know that the signs of vitamin B deficiency are the same as the signs of vitamin B toxicity. I was way low in vitamin B after I had long Covid and then I overdid it because I had no idea that toxicity could be achieved. I was sick for a long time until I finally got blood work that gave the answer. So moderation in all things.
All of the above symptoms and didn't know why as I take good liquid nutrition supplements. Never considered B1 might be the cause so have ordered Benafodiamine B1 and have Magnesium which, on its own, wasn't doing much. 🤞 Thanku for this very helpful video🙏🏻
Thank you so much Ryan. You are the best. Love you. And thank you so much for taking the time to educate us I learned so much from you. Albeit, I eat all healthy natural organic food but I also wondered if I had a vitamin B1 deficiency. Albeit again I'm not a saint but I do like my red wine every evening. So I'm going to start incorporate more vitamin B1 in my diet. Waiting for the next episode
My doctor wanted to prescribe med for acid reflux that in side effects noted drug can cause dementia. I refused the drug. Yeah, think I will try a B1 supplement.
7/10. Ordered on number 7. Thank you, my life is hell, if this works, it will be the best thing ever. I thought I'd worn everything out from walking too much, I can't go on a walk these days, it was my favourite thing.
Great informational video.. I struggle w deficiency w all b vitamins due to digestion issues and severe anxiety. I have pernicious anemia and was having to do monthly injections for years bc the vitamin pills didn't help at all. Fortunately, 3 years ago I found some liquid b complex and was able to quit the injections and it has maintained all my b vitamin levels. So for anyone not having luck w vitamin b pills.. try the liquid form -your body is able to absorb it better if your vitamin b issues have to do with your bodies inability to break it down and use it properly.
If you’re having digestion issues, perhaps you could consider improving your gut microbes, using the methods mentioned in the video. I heard kefir is great. Kimchi is also an excellent option to improve your gut microbes.
@@gan247 Thank you, you're absolutely right! Unfortunately, I have an IBD from inflammatory genetic disease. So things like kefir, kimchi and kombucha (which I love) only keep my digestion issues somewhat "manageable", for the most part. When the inflammation decides to attack, for some reason no dr has figured out yet, my diet becomes very very restricted to the point I can't even eat those things.
