I would say no because it’s used so rarely, you can hire someone or borrow someone else’s for the once in a while time you would need it. It takes up space the other 364 days of the year and you should only keep in your home what you use regularly.

I started my retirement account in my mid 20s. I'm so happy I did. I was forced to retire 2 years early when my company moved out of town and didn't invite anyone to move. I am living better in retirement than when I was working. Please please anyone who reads this do the sacrifice and start saving now! I had to wait a little longer to purchase a house ( and I paid it off way before I retired) but my life now is sweet. Indie all this and my salary was no more than $60K. It can be done.

At age 30 I was broke, single, living with roommates and trying to make ends meet, didn't have any of this things or even think about them and is ok, don't feel bad is that is your case, keep trying and you will find your way, not everyone is successful by age 30.

Hi Crissol Do not measure success by accummulated possessions. There are multiple ways of being successful at much higher levels, e.g. by making physical, emotional and spiritual efforts and achievements. Otherwise I don' t see the point in compulsively buying the umpteenth luxury bag!!!

Hi Shea The simplest way to use a fire extinguisher is the PASS Best of luck and I hope that you don’t need to use it 1. Pull pin to unlock 2. Aim the extinguisher at the bottom or base of fire and stand 6 to 10 feet away 3. Squeeze the lever to discharge the powder/ foam depending on the type of extinguisher 4. Sweep the spray from left to right until fire is totally extinguished

Fire extinguishers? Remember PASS - Pull (the pin), Aim (the hose at the base of the fire), Squeeze (the trigger handle), and Sweep (slowly go from one side of the fire to the other).

Love your channel, Shea, and love all of your ideas and your talent. Just want to point out that the soft sheets you recommend are 100% polyester which is essentially plastic (will not biodegrade for many decades) and is not healthy for us due to the processing chemicals used, some of which may be hormone disruptors, as we absorb toxins through our skin. Cotton fleece sheets for the winter is a healthier choice for humans to sleep on all night and also better for our environment. We just need to remember that before we sleep on new sheets/pillow cases, we should wash them first to remove chemical residue from the factories - to be safe. Just my two cents, if it helps anyone who is interested.

I’m so glad you brought up the fire extinguisher! I’m in EHS and this is something people often disregard. I recommend an ABC (paper , plastic, flammable liquids, electric fires) and Class K fire extinguisher (for kitchen fires) . Home Depot or lowes sells them in duo packs and they’re affordable! Better safe than sorry everyone! :]

That being said, I still love fashion, beauty and lifestyle things just as much as I did when I was younger, and I don’t FEEL old, so I refuse to stop watching content by awesome creators of any age on the basis that I might have kids that old!!! No you're not too old to be here. My parents are in their 70s and they've raised me to never feel too old for the fun stuff in life. They'll still go to Disney (WITHOUT grandkids) and they love all the stuff their kids and grandkids do. They're an inspiration for all of us. 😊

Great suggestions! You should also consider including having your will and advanced healthcare directives set. Regardless of how wealthy you are or whether you are married or not, or whether you have “told” your next of kin what you want to happen to you in certain situations you need to have it documented to ensure you things happen the way you want them to. I didn’t think to do this until I was 34, when I traveled overseas for the first time. I didn’t get my passport before then because I couldn’t afford to travel overseas before I moved into the job I got at that age, but you’re right, traveling is life changing and such a blessing :)

Isn't it mandatory where you live to carry an emergency kit like that in your car? In Romania the legislation mandates the ownership of a small fire extenguisher, those shiny vests, triangles (I don't know their names in English) and possibly a small medical emergency kit :)

Great advice. My daughters are around your age, and it's definitely important to have a retirement plan in order. Also, a will. Great idea about the fire extinguisher, Shea. Cool wallet but not for cash-oriented folks. I dislike mini wallets because I am one of those old fogies who still carry cash, and I want a wallet that holds the bills without folding them. I'm the one at Starbucks NOT paying with my phone! Mine is large enough to hold my phone too. Re: fire extinguisher - get one that has a bracket to hang it on the wall (maybe just inside the pantry door) so it's easy to grab when needed. Not the time to be pulling it out of a box!

If you are going to get a steamer it can't be a cheap one because it takes forever to heat up, constantly tips over, and doesn't steam that well. Shea has a good quality steamer. I generally like to iron as well but steamers are a life saver for those rare silky items that are just too fragile.

I’m turning 30 in about 2 weeks, and I’m glad I’ve got MOST of these things. I’m working on my passport (planning to get it by February) and I’ve been contemplating whether or not I need a steamer. I’m more of a backpack girl (I hike a lot) and I have a fantastic one from Dakine, so I’d say that’s my “good quality bag”. And we just got a Sports Mattress (one specifically for people leading an active lifestyle) and it is INCREDIBLE.

Shea gives the inside look of what it feels like to be rich. Should we all stop touring castles because we can't afford to live in one? Or viewing designer runway looks for inspiration. No way. This trickles down and improves our lives as well. A responsible woman will prioritize her child and then go on Shea's channel and fantasize about her giant walk in closet. She will know there is no way she can have that closet but she can improve her own by incorporating some of Shea's tips. Like a belt rack. If people cannot responsibly watch Shea's channel without splurging to keep up with the jones or getting upset because they can't afford what she has than that's on them to change the channel. There is something to be said for people who take away the small things, not the big.

Miss Nobody That is Not True, Anyone can reap the rewards if they have a Goal Set and Follow It, too many these days whinge about what they don’t have and can’t afford, well it comes down to priorities and not putting everything on credit when you can’t afford to pay for it...Tis the Season where people go Crazy buying unnecessary things....then complain after Xmas that they are Broke....if you can’t afford to pay cash for something, Save For It, there’s usually nothing that you need that you can’t Save For, Other than a Home Loan, But then young ones these days get themselves So Over Budget That they can’t afford the little things....Just Saying...

Great video! I turn 30 in April, so I hit this pretty fast! :) I have everything except for the steamer and fire extinguisher (I should go out and get one today...). I would add an efficient system for filing important documents, a monthly (or yearly) budget, and health insurance.

Yes for fire extinguishers!! My husband caught my kitchen on fire cooking bacon. Luckily damage was minimized by our handy extinguisher under the kitchen sink. No one was hurt, but it did happen a few days before Thanksgiving. We bbq’d that turkey and I got a WHOLE kitchen full of new appliances because he felt so bad.

It's so true knowing what you want in a wallet. I made the mistake of buying fashionable ones that didn't go with the function I needed. I like wristlet wallets that can be used alone or put in a large tote. My favorite is my ink blue Brahmin wristlet.

At 23 I have: 1. A good enough satchel bag (not designer but I like it) 2. Does a crossbody wallet bag count? 3. My bed is a futon but my sheets are cotton 4. Maybe my roommate has a fire extinguisher? It’s concerning that I don’t know 5. Passport 6. ALMOST perfect jeans (thanks, quarantine weight gain) 7. Steamer? I don’t even have an iron 😅 8. I don’t like any exercise that much... dance and yoga are okay... 9. No retirement account whatsoever... I’m just starting grad school 10. Mine has two items: get my degree and get a job. No further concrete plans, and that’s fine. So... I definitely have one of these things, or four if I’m being generous

My daughter is 21 and has all these things (except for steamer, and the handbag is a hand me down ) she also has health insurance, her own car and her own well furnished appartement. She’s had a job since she is 16 while still going to school and university. She also save our house when she was 16 with a fire extinguisher as the microwave caught on fire. I raised her as a single parent so she is not a spoiled brat or feel entitled either.

I will be 30 in a year and I'm definitely missing a few of these! Namely the handbag, steamer, retirement savings and bucket list. The last one I will do over the holidays. The handbag I will save up for so I can treat myself on my 30th. The steamer I think I can live without for now, until I find a place to put it and the retirement savings will have to wait until my business is up and running properly.. I bought my forever bag, Louis Vuitton and wallet in 2008 when I was 21. It’s still my main goto I only own one other bag and wallet. I paid 1200$ for both and to buy both in today’s prices would cost more than $2000 so it was a great investment for me! 🥰 apparently I’m doing things right I have everything on the list yay

@@rebekahb6222 true but I'd rather buy 1 quality bag forever than many polyester bags ..however bbw u use it min every month it's full of fragrance and added stuff its neither good for u nor any other creature.. u dont have to be 100% cruelty free but each decision matters I use lush bamboo tooth brushes soap bars shampoo bars tooth tabs water flosser 100% natural loofa etc it's good to be aware although well never be perfect

What a great list!! I understand mentally & maturity & age do not always coincide but this list you have put out is quite awesome! I believe, by thirty the only things I did not have was the purse & the fire hydrant! HA! In my 30's I came to realize so much about me & I was soooooo happy I planned out my months! I can look back in my planners, & Man Alive, I have a very good life! Thank you!!
