Here's an additional tip: when you are in a store and see an item you want, check that store's website for their online pricing!! This has worked for me a couple of times. For example: at Target a curling wand was on sale for $24 BUT online it was $14. So I used the app and ordered the item with IN STORE PICKUP (no shipping charges) and literally picked it up from the customer service desk on the way out! Another time I was in Macy's and the item I wanted wasn't in my size, so I checked online and it was around $20 less online! Again I had it shipped to the store for free to save on shipping. Sometime I use the Amazon app to scan a barcode and see if a product might be cheaper. I am Amazon Prime member so 2 day shipping is free.

Recently, I've tried to avoid impulse buying and so many companies have emailed me up to 40% after leaving items sitting in my cart! They start at 10%, but just be patient 😉
I love these tips! A few years ago, I put a Kate Spade bag in my online cart and walked away for a few days because I was deciding if I actually wanted it or not. Not only was it already in the sale section, but they sent me an email saying "hey, are you still thinking about this? here's an additional 15% off!" And that's how I got my first Kate Spade bag! Also, I would absolutely love to see a video about finances from you!
The sales tax tip is on it's way out. The "Wayfair" court case now allows states to require out of state retailers to collect sales tax. Lots of rules and different for every state, but it's happening. Also you are supposed to pay sales tax on your tax return if you are not billed it. They call it "use" tax. Most people have no idea and most are not going to do it, but its a thing :) Love your videos and your positive attitude!

It's called Abandoned Shopping Cart - It's an actual program that some web sites have installed to automatically send out an email with a discount if the customer abandoned their shopping cart.
I was in store recently and two mature women were bent over cracking up. I slowly made my way closer, cause what ever they were "drinking" I needed a sip. Then it hit me...they were doing the neck waist sizing technique. Imagine years ago were dragged our pants into the changing rooms! Now all we need to do is "neck it". ( Nekkid as in Naked). Oh boy, were they a hoot! ~ Second the fill your online cart and walk away! : ) And Yes to CHARGE card usage! That's were you pay it off every month, no need for credit. : )

Yes I did the separate email account from the beginning while in highschool. So so useful! I just turn off notifications and only search the inbox when I want a coupon, that way I'm not tempted to buy just for sales. These are all great tips! I do pretty much all of them

Love all your videos! I’m a CPA and I have to jump in on this sales tax comment. Last year there was a Supreme Court case called South Dakota vs. Wayfair that basically ruled that states can charge sales tax on companies that do not have a physical presence in their state. The old rules used to be “physical nexus” but this court case brought forth a concept of “economic nexus” (which is defined as selling more than $100k of gross receipts or 200 transactions). My firm works with a lot of apparel and other retail direct to consumer companies and all of them are trying to figure out how to be compliant with this complicated sales tax law until a federal sales tax law is adopted (which there is nothing in the works right now so there is no indication there will be relief from this new concept). If you’re not paying for sales tax but the company has economic nexus, then the company has to pay out of their pocket on that and so I think over the next 6-12 months sales tax on online purchases is going to change.
I just started implementing the neck trick for all bottoms and realized it does work! I especially use it when I go thrifting! I screenshot outfits too; I have even gotten some screenshots developed as pictures. Then I take those pictures and put them on my vision board!

The sales tax tip was pre Wayfair case. Online presence now establishes nexis in almost all cases, which is why now you are paying sales tax on practically all online purchase. And if they don’t you’re technically supposed to report and remit your use taxes yourself in some states. Just an FYI! Btw super excited about the neck and waist trick!

I am extremely confused about the US sizing in general, but I am usually a 36 or 38 in my bottom wear. Sometimes if I try the neck measuring, I do it at the nape of the neck, because mine is pretty skinny, and I am not sure that doing the method she showed, would be suited for me. My hips and thighs are larger, and I mostly have problems around my waist. I wear high rise pants most of the time, those that go above the belly bottom, and if I am unsure of the sizing, I also do a trick by putting my arm (elbow and fist) into the waist of the bottom, and measure it that way. If it is larger than that, it's too big, if you can't fit it in, it's too small, and if it fits perfectly, then you're good to go. As a last resort I try them on and make sure it is the proper size in the end. Our currency is A LOT higher than US dollars, so therefore its more expensive in our currency. We can't simply just go by the eye. If a pair of bottoms let's say its 10 dollars, then in our currency is 10x4.30.
