10 Things Gran Turismo 4 Does BETTER Than FH5! 

*For anybody thinking I'm "hating" on Forza again,* this is meant to be a video praising Gran Turismo 4 on how ahead of it's time it was. -hence I'm comparing it to a flagship modern racing game (Forza Horizon 5) to show that it executes some things better than some games of today 🙃

Fun fact the New GT7 actually does has this feature with interior colors. Certain cars such as Aston Martin DB11, Tesla Model 3, 2008 Audi R8, and many more do have interior colors when changing exterior paint! Amazing they kept that so bad

I loved driving the Prius in GT4 when I was a kid 'cause it had it's own UI in races.

Set your video settings to 480p 16:9 man, gets rid of that stretch. I'd also recommend the hud retexture, and shade boost in game

im not sure you can customize opponent lists directly in fh5 but you can in the arcade mode of gt4 you'll need to go into the settings and connect the controller into the second port, then input the combination l1+up l2+down r1+left r2+right start start and you'll get secret settings, go there and enable "specific opponents" and whatever cars are in your favorites will be your arcade mode opponents, you can change them at will

The new gran turismo has interior customization on some cars as well. One example being the DB11.

also for the washin your car, the paint gets all matte and loses it's shinyness and reflects less on the track. so you do notice the difference when you wash your car. Also while we're in GT Auto, there are several types of wings to choose from, couldnt find the exact number but it's around 6 wings either in white/grey/black

Backfire in GT4 goes out in different size and exhaust if the car has more than one exhaust tips

I love GT4 progression but unfortunally for me, the new kids generation loves everything fast, loves backfire, loves get every car in the game in the first 10 minutes of gameplay... My dad and I race a lot of endurance races in GT4 together, I love this game... I really want a modern car game who is made for old players... an NFS with "normal cars" and a slow progression, a simcade who you need to take licences

Backfires are normally available in each heavily modified car you drive in GT4. If you downshift you can see them

I have double the hours on GT4 in a few months (on PCSX) then I do FH5 and FM combined and I’ve had them both at launch. GT4 has been getting a lot of community love with mods making the game feel more modern. It’s truly one of the best racing games you can play in 2024.

Why we don’t have these features in today’s games.

6:02 if you also look at the interior of convertible cars in time trial and special condition events,there is actually a guy shifting every gears,turns the steering wheel to the same direction as your imputs and looking soo realistic,but the downside is that the driver id pixelated,more pixelated than the interior in my opinion

GT7 does have the interior colors on some cars (like the aston martin db11)

As someone whos coincidentally doing a GT4 playthrough rn: 1st point: You can easily get an OP car early on in the game. The first, easiest rally race, gifts you a 760hp Cadillac Cien. Next race gives you a 420hp rally raid car. Also i didnt have to use a sh box of my own not even once 10 hours into the game. 2nd: Few cars actually have that animation 3rd: GT4 also has its goofy cars, not sure if i am right but coincidentally the S13 Silvia seems to be one of those, front is weird. Though, its bad that this comparision is being made. GT4 is 20y old now and technology is better than ever, FH5's models shouldnt be that bad. 4th: From what ive seen, you only change oil once, when you buy an used car, never again. No cars seem to have gotten dirty 10 hours into the game 5th: 👍 6th: Once again, few cars, and cant change it later. Can you show us what Project Cars 1 did better than FH5? I remember that there was first person, full steering wheel rotation and also great shifting animation.

You forgot to mention the collection of songs in gt4 that are classic and miles apart in comparision to fh5

I miss gran Turismo PSP says when I was a kid about 12 years ago those were the days I was 10 not a Forza guy back then I was a gran Turismo guy I was a Forza guy until I was 13 started own my first Forza is FH1 back then

u never know when playground games will give the mid type fd the correct factory spoiler…or complete the autech kit on the late model s14 or the nismo kit on the early one not hating forza horizon but maybe they should do something about it

You know, over the passing years since Gran Turismo 4, the newer generations of gamers began to complain about Gran Turismo 4 style progression, and I believe that created the instant gratification era of gaming we have now. I used to LOVE playing through various games, and earning different cars or content that eas hidden or hard to find, but that seems to be gone from games now. 😢 Edit: The new Gran Turismo DOES have a few cars that have different interior color options. Check out Aston Martin, and you'll be pleased.

Pretty sure one of the new Audi's lets you change the color in the interior in FH5
