None of us blame you for massaging the YT algorithm. 🤣 But in all seriousness, it's quite fair that few people really talk about the most important bits. And, should you pay careful attention to the assessment of the human condition, Lewis was painfully accurate. Unrelated, really love the way you're really been working on your diction and enunciation. Really getting good over the past few videos!
I think the transformation of Screwtape into a centipede is an allusion to John Milton’s . In Book 10, demons who raged against God are turned into snakes as a punishment.
I think the reason why people only discuss the moral issues form this book. Is because framing devices for some reason are not worth exploring. When when was the last time any talked about the framing devices form Plato's Republic or Galio's work on the cosmos except in passing.
Well my planned June ethics video relies heavily on the framing device for the Phadreus (Socrates gives homosexual courting advice and goes off on the nature of the Divine). So maybe I just find framing devices more compelling than others.
About breads I say this as a man who has had to be clean shaven (Marine Corp regulations) and someone who just stop shaving for months on end. Any beard that is more than a weeks growth must be subject to man's grooming and styling to look good. Otherwise the bread and the man will look unkempt and wild.
Regarding the "music of the spheres", have you read Dr. Ward's "Narnia Code" (or the more scholarly "Planet Narnia")? If not, prepare to have your mind blown...
As for time and prayer I must admit that is something beyond my comprehension but it ture. Much like how a photon of light when given is some able to pass through two openings at the same time until you try to measure which opening. Then the photon only pass through one opening. For literary example see the interlude about fire spren and how they keep changing heights until you write down its height.
"All which is not music is silence" is from George Macdonald's unspoken sermons. Lewis took a lot of inspiration from MacDonald, have you ever read Phantastes or any of his work?
@@MeMySkirtandI If you're into the inklings and Lewis you'll almost certainly love him. GK Chesterton and Lewis said he changed both their lives and I can tell you for better or worse he changed mine. I highly recommend Lilith and Phantastes, they're both on audiobook for free on RU-vid and librivox.
@@MeMySkirtandI Librivox has let me hear so many books that I otherwise have read. I highly recommend the app or even just listening to them on RU-vid. I think all or almost all of GK Chesterton's work is on there as well.
